    Last Turn combined with Vanity's Fiend...how diabolical.

    • @nijunikuro

      There are many ways to abuse Last Turn - that's why it got banned.
      In this video I used Vanity's Fiend.
      In my WC 2009 "Instant Wins" video I used Jowgen the Spiritualist.
      In my WC 2011 "Duel Winners" video I used Suijin (which is the most "fair" of these cards).
      You can also use Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo, Vanity's Ruler or any ritual monster summoned using Djinn Releaser of Rituals.

      @nijunikuro I feel sad that ring of destruction and brain control get unplayable errata, imperial order gets a decent nerf to be forced, yet this and unbanned change of heart are as is lol. A simple negate all monster effects once this card resolves would've been fine.
      No way to fix return from the different dimension though I feel setting it as a trap card balanced it for the modern day.
      I am glad rush duel lives on in duel links to play more classic style yugioh though it needs fusion monsters. Switch games are either outdated with silly deck building Konami code at an obscure place, or not in English. I try not to think of speed duel given full strength amazoness swords woman reflecting damage vs 4000 lp where you could even equip opponents monsters to win.

      @@MrVariant I agree with your 1st 2 points. I haven't played Speed Duels and Rush Duels (yet), tho I'm a bit disappointed we never seemed to get any official support/games for Turbo Duels after 3 5D's WC games. Most people who play other card games seem to think spell cards are too overpowered 'cause "they don't cost any mana", yet the only Yu-Gi-Oh format that tried to correct that seems to have fallen into obscurity. :(

      @nijunikuro lol bring back Mirage of nightmare 🤣 though yeah quick play spells were overpowered, like how mystical space typhoon combos with it back in the day lol. I do think fallen of Albaz power crept super polymerization, especially with call of the haunted reusing it on the opponent's turn. Though super poly can't be responded to, which is annoying, and both don't target due to resolution based effects.

    This makes me wish they would make another Yugioh game where we can create our own character and have our own plot. The music was a bop for the 5ds DS games. Or at best make another tagforce where its like the GX and 5ds where the characters actually had 3d rendered models.

      They did but it was a rush duel game not a master rule game.

      The last 3ds game wasn't even online the shame we never got a Link era hand held game

  • @SenseiRaisen

    This game was also made before Zexal, so after this you had both Gimmic Puppet Leo cards (who's effect are basically a win condition after detaching all of their material) and Numeroninas Numerious (who's effect is force a battle to the opponent during their turn otherwise you win the duel).

    • @nijunikuro
      @nijunikuro  4 месяца назад +5

      There were *many* new alternate win cards that were added later on. Still, I'd like to point out that Numerounius Numerounia wasn't added to the actual card game during Zexal era, but near the end of 2021.

    • @SenseiRaisen
      @SenseiRaisen 4 месяца назад +2

      @@nijunikuro True, they release it later. Of course i mean it because i think this and another game introduce the Jikaishin deck (the one who Z-One use it), and most of this are boss monsters that are restricted or ban or never been release in the RL counterpart. I said it on that sense too. By far those are the only "do x so you win the duel" condition cards ever heard about.

    I found this game in the local shop back in 2010 which was strange because usually they didn’t care about Nintendo stuff. I treasured it ever since.
    It’s a shame that Konami went complete berserk mode in 2012 and stopped creating meaningful video games instead of flipping assets…. Until Master Duels that is.
    Thank you for the video, some of these I weren’t aware because it wasn’t easy to grind each card.

    • @nijunikuro
      @nijunikuro  4 месяца назад +3

      You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
      Tbh, I kinda wish Konami would make a new game with a proper (offline) story mode using Master Duel's presentation, assets and mechanics (like dismantling and crafting cards) - with optional multiplayer, instead of forcing you to do ranked PvP if you want to get anything. And it's a damn shame that none of the Yu-Gi-Oh games made in last 10 years allow you to actually *trade cards* with friends - in "trading card" games (at least, to my knowledge). :/

    Honestly this is pretty impressive for a ds game

    • @nijunikuro
      @nijunikuro  4 месяца назад +7

      Indeed. Still, WC 2011 managed to add even more stuff (like Turbo Tag duels, Deck Analyzer, etc.) and it seemed to improve the opponent AI, making it even more impressive than WC 2010.
      I recommend trying out either WC 2010 or WC 2011 to all Yu-Gi-Oh fans (with 2011 being my favorite).

    okay, so I know this game is old, but why didn't they at least reskin Exodia for the Exodios one?

      Canonically, Exodios 'summons' Exodia from the graveyard and Exodia, not Exodios, performs the obliterate.

    The best game out of all the 5ds world championship games. Followed the dark signers arc to a T. The holograms are still around and not completely gone like in wc2011.
    2011 was also good though don't get me wrong. However it ends right after Aporia and the story isn't 100% followed like in 2010 because for some reason when you go to neo domino or satellite you are in pre season 1 5ds with the enforcers and then suddenly it skips straight to 5ds season 3 with the meklords and wrgp.
    2010 was graphically well, struggling but i still like it compared to 2011 with nothing and especially compared to 2009 which i just didn't like for several reasons.

    • @nijunikuro
      @nijunikuro  2 месяца назад

      Personally, I think WC 2011 is the best 5ds-era game (and my favorite YuGiOh game), as it added a lot of new things compared to WC 2010 (turbo tag duels, replays, card sleeves, custom duel puzzles, etc.). Still, WC 2010 is a great game and I can understand why you'd prefer it over WC 2011.
      I do agree that WC 2010 had a better story mode. In WC 2011, it feels like 2/3rds of the story were just a prologue and a warm-up for the actual story. While it's cool that your custom character gets its own story, it feels kinda weird that you just happen to randomly encounter anime's cast everywhere and near the end time-manipulation just happens to switch you to Jack & Yusei's team. And later they *both* lose to 1st Meklord without scratching it, leaving you to fight all 3 at full LP (with a Meklord already on the field). :/
      WC 2009 had *a lot* of issues. One of my biggest complaints would be that unlocking a lot of stuff requires you to beat several NPCs 5 times, but there is no in-game counter how many times you beat anyone, so you literally have to write down your wins against everyone to keep track of who you have to duel and how many times.

    So is this game just Edison Format in a nutshell?

    • @nijunikuro
      @nijunikuro  3 месяца назад

      Not quite. It uses a banlist that predates Edison Format and it's missing a few cards (which came out after the game was released), but it's very close. WC 2011 is also close to Edison Format, but that one uses a banlist *after* the Edison one.
      While WC 2010 & WC 2011 are similar to Edison Format, there are some differences in all 3. For example, in WC 2010 Cyber Dragon is Limited, in Edison it's Semi-Limited and in WC 2011 it's unlimited.

    • @manjackson2772
      @manjackson2772 3 месяца назад

      @nijunikuro The extra sets in WC11 make it a million miles from Edison. It's got Infernity, Ronintoadin, full power Legendary Six Samurai, I'm sure I'm forgetting other things.

    • @DeltaAjaxNiner
      @DeltaAjaxNiner 3 месяца назад +1

      I think you used to be able to at least download the Edison banlist over Wi-Fi, but I don't think that's possible now that the DS WFC servers are offline.

      The video's title is "All Alternate Win Cards", not "All Alternate Win Animations".
      I time-stamped all segments, so you can easily skip to the end of each if you just want to see the animations.
      Before you clicked on the video, you could see that it's over 15 minutes long - and there were only 6 alternate win cards in Yu-Gi-Oh back in 2010. Did you think all alternate victory animations were over 2 and half minutes long? -_-
