Another nice trick if measuring hole pitch with digital calipers, is to measure a hole with the ID jaws. Zero the caliper then measure from the edge of one hole to the edge of the other with the ID jaws again. This will give you direct read-out of hole centre to centre assuming holes are round and of same diameter.
I have some bed rails that I need to build for a headboard and footboard. The headboard and footboard has prebuilt drilled holes which means I can’t just slap on any type of frame if I want to create a seamless look. I have tried to think of so many methods on how in the heck I was going to do this. Thank goodness I came across your video bc now I know that this is something I can do without paying someone else allot of $$$$. Thank you this was great info.

Yep, you can zero digital Calipers and avoid the calculator for many measurements. That was a tip video on our Instagram page a while back.
