Just purchased my first ever bike in 2019 Honda pcx 150 for $1500(on offer up). The seller had it listed for $2000 but didn’t mind going down to 15. I took it for a quick spin to get a feel for the bike (since my gear didn’t come in the mail yet) and it’s an amazing bike(scooter). It has quick acceleration and smooth handling . It’s a lot bigger than I expected and A LOT heavier as well . I haven’t experienced it fully since it’s only been a few hours since the purchase but if there is anyone who’s on the fence about getting it will not have any regrets . If you are also hesitating to get it because of how it’s built or you might look “silly” or get laughed at just know that it doesn’t matter what people think because in all reality they would wish to have the same confidence you have to ride something that you think is cool and that’s all that matters be safe everyone and god bless :)

Never owned a scooter, have been considering one as a second bike when I just do local rides, came across your channel, love the rides around London, nice to get your take on the machine after owning one for a number of years. I like the normal looking handlebars so I can mount my phone/satnav. Stay safe, thanks for sharing your rides :)
I can’t wait to get back to riding in London again. You are spot on, the normal handlebars make it so easy to mount a phone holder and you can choose which side too 😅 Thank you so much for the nice comment, you are welcome to my channel and ride safe my man 👍
Just brought a Honda pcx 2022 today but unfortunately here in Denmark you need a full motorcycle licence which I will start on next month 😂. I found your video very helpful and informative thanks 👍
You’re welcome! I just got married in Denmark and hence why I have been slow on RUclips recently. I hardly saw any motorbikes or scooters there (Copenhagen). That said, I never realised Denmark is the city of (pedal) bikes!!! So many pedal bikes! It was refreshing to see I loved it 🇩🇰
Definitely feel the wind on this little machine, and also the suspension though it’s not too bad. Apart from that, everything is great and I love this bike. Acceleration, fuel economy, aesthetic, handling, storage space, perfect for its price and 125cc range. Plus it’s a Honda so I’ll recommend pcx to anybody. :)
The acceleration is so good, never have to worry about moving too slow off the mark or falling behind in traffic. Just a great lightweight bike, love it
Wel today i just went to get my scooter pcx125.Before i drove a guzzi 500.Friends say i wil regret buying this but when i drove home with it i enjoy it more than the 500 who was 41 years old and shaked to much.Normaly there was to be a box for my dog but it was not there in the shop yet so next week i go back to put it on than my little doggy wil be with me on the scooter whereever i go.Looking forward to that.
That’s fantastic! I am glad you love your PCX too :) Don’t listen to what other people say, they usually have no clue what you want/like. More CC does not equal more fun. Ride safe buddy and enjoy your PCX.
have you even ridden an NMAX? I've heard the NMAX position is lower (shields you better from the wind) and more comfy NMAX also has a disc brake in the back
Great review. I have owned a PCX for 12 years now and I thought it would be interesting to compare my own views with respect to your likes and dislikes: LIKES 1. Consumption: The most I ever managed was 250kms on a full tank. Now that it’s getting long in the tooth it’s struggling to get to 200kms per tank. 2. Ease of use: Agreed albeit Honda insist in inverting the position of the horn and the indicator switch. 3. Smoothness: It is smooth but I would not call it butter smooth. On occasions when it finds itself in a perturbed mood, the engine shudders upon low rpm acceleration. 4. Cheap to own: True, agree 100%. 5. Looks: I disagree. I think it looks ghastly but I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 6. Quality: Build quality (as distinct from reliability) falls significantly short of what you get on European bikes. My handlebar and exhaust pipe are riddled with rust. The instrument lights have also given up the ghost over the last 4 years or so. 7. Reliability: 100% agree. 8. Storage: 100% agree especially with storage solutions provided by Givi in the form of panniers, tunnel bags, top box, etc. 9. Pillion comfort: 100% agree. 10. Acceleration: 100% agree. DISLIKES 1. Fast roads: Agreed. It seems to max out at 90kms/h and is stressed at that point and beyond. 2. Windscreen: I changed that to a Givi screen. It improved the situation but only marginally. 3. Suspension: I must say, I did not notice its bounciness and can live quite happily with the stock suspension. 4. Tyres: Stock tyres are really terrible. They need to be changed to a decent brand. 5. Brakes: Agreed. I find it ridiculous that they put a drum brake at the rear. To replace the brake pads one must remove wheel, exhaust pipe, etc.
I like to take it easy first 600 miles. This includes; varying your speed between 10, 20 and 30mph when appropriate, no abrupt acceleration (try to use smooth throttle), do not ride at top speed. Remember to change your engine oil one with one that has the correct viscosity stated in the owners manual. Usually, and correct me if I am wrong, when purchasing a brand new bike the oil in the engine is cheap ‘storage’ oil to protect the engine from rust and is different to the one you want to have when riding. After first service you’re good to go. Ride safe.
Loved this bike but had to get the forza 125cc, so much better, better mpg too 300 miles for £17 full tank Big storage space Only annoying part is the seating and how far the handlebars are
I would need to try the Honda Forza 125. It would be interesting to compare to the PCX and what the Forza has to offer. Is the acceleration (of the Forza) compromised due to increased weight? How does it feel in city traffic?
I rode the latest model recently and I have to say that the suspension was quite good, at least for me. I agree on most things you mentioned and if I had to point out some details, I would prefer a disc brake at the rear. Great video bro. Enjoyed it. Drop by to check my content. Cheers.
Hello. I'm planning to buy a scooter, and I'm torn between the PCX 125 and the Nmax 125. The design of the panel and its large turn signal indicators in Honda drives me crazy. In the PCX, I'm attracted to the presence of a rear disc brake and ABS. What should I choose? Something that will please the eye every day on the road (PCX) or a more responsive rear brake (Nmax)? I've also heard that when choosing between PCX and Nmax, the suspension on PCX has become very stiff, and Nmax is softer. However, in this video, you assure the opposite, and in your old videos, Nmax seems to be stiffer :))
the honda gets the better mileage and the rear brake is strong enough to lock the wheel up at any speed despite being a drum. so go with whichever you can get cheaper
Had a 2021 model pcx on hire after my 2012 yammy xmax 125 was reversed into and written off. Great bike for teens, beginners, food couriers, fantastic mpg, honda reliability, etc. I absolutely hated it. I'm 6'1" and 220lbs and it felt like a toy, got blown around by wind a lot on dual carriageways, power died at 45/50mph and wind/hills dropped that. Bike just never felt really planted to me. I imagine the yammy nmax has the same issues too as they're both city bikes. For nipping in/out and around traffic in cities and towns they're ideal, but for going any real distance they're terrible. Still i see dozens of them used by uber eats and deliveroo riders around Birmingham everyday. Test ride a forza or xmax and you'll not look back.
