That's only due to fog. Without the fog you perceive the plane going slower. They go the same speed and I've done comparison videos of the PS2 version with the definitive.

Only way this hackhmaster could've worked, is if the entire map (at the very least) was remade from the ground up. New models, new textures etc. Vehicles, peds and characters too. Just seeing the entire map without fog in HD looks so bad lol.
The fact you cant look around with the mouse while flying, and cant adjust the hover-jet mode is just like a badly ported mobile game. Its absurd for a PC GAME, AND A CLASSIC
They built this essentially by taking the original assets and upscaling them and then improving the lighting and mechanics in my opinion it’s a great trilogy
So much complaining.. I feel like the black sheep now because overall I'm actually quite pleased with this release. The big thing for me was the distant rendering of trees. It's a little funny how they all pop up in the distance at 00:35 but I'll gladly take that over trees popping up 5 feet in front of me! The only thing I don't like so far is the 3-d mini map but that's small potatoes. 👍👍
I believe it was due to the fact I hadn't unlocked all the islands and I believe there's an invisible barrier that blocks off the bridge until I unlock that portion of the map.
Just get the pirated version to check it out. This new release will be forgotten edition, id rather play the older ones or get custom mods for better graphics.

When it was first revealed that a GTA III remake was in the works, my honest thought was this: GTA Online was so incredibly popular and made them so much fucking money, that they were going to take take the GTAV Map, then release an actual remaster of GTA III and take that map, and then when GTA VI releases take Vice City and add in that map to make GTA Online multi city. Imagine that for a minute, GTA Online where you could go to different cities...how fucking fun would that be. Have those three cities and connect them with some open landscapes with a few small towns here and there and boom, that would be amazing. Instead GTA 6 sounds like it's coming out in 2030 and a shitshow, and this is just kind of dumb to be hoenst.
