Thanks for the review. I wasn't even aware glass skates exist. I'm definitely going to try those out, since they are far more affordable.
Currently waiting on mine from the kickstarter, love my 2.0 excited to get the 3.0!
Fresh Reviews, thanks again for the great reviews as I was waiting to hear your opinion of the Skypad 3.0 XL.
You deserve a lot more subs as I really value your thoughts and opinions cause you have a high skill level in games.
Ty!
Thank you for comparing the glass on cloth vs ptfe on glass. if you can make a dedicated video about it that would be awesome as well.
Glad to see you're back hope you're doing better!! love your content
Ty!!
if i wasnt giddy like a kid on xmas for the GPX glass skates on a Raiden right now this would be at the top of my list
Maybe I have to try it. I'm an oldschool gamer. Back then we had hard plastic pads and used silicon spray to make them even faster. I always used my wrist to aim, always had my wrist and underarm on the pad to control the movements.
i see you ended up grabbing the xlite grips, im looking forward to hearing your thoughts! another great review too man, preciate the content :D
❤️
Thanks for the good information and content
Can't wait to get mine, it'll probably arrive tomorrow. I managed to get it with the travel case for 30 during blackfriday. Even though they sold the same size and version of the skypad for 50. (both on amazon, both the same seller which was skypad themselves)
They should make mouse feet made of mouse pad material, or just a VERY slippery cloth that glides perfectly smooth without scratchiness.
Absolutely phenomenal
Great video Freshy. As always 😄. Sick gameplay 😏
Love you 😍
Love the review. I have the 2.0 and it's already too fast (or smooth?) for me. So I can't imagine using the 3.0
Interesting! I will try out glass skates for sure, since I hate the noise level on the Skypad
Might I suggest sticking neoprene adhesive sheet (0.5 or even 1mm) to the back of the pad ?
This to eliminate the flex and noise (resonance) caused by the feet, as it makes the pad non-levelled with the desk.
Did that to my 2.0 XL and it makes a night and day difference.
For all back pad? The adhesive
No complaints at all on the 3 which I've had since Jan 2nd with quite a few hours but I'd prefer the 2.0 in the 3.0 size honestly. The texture is better imo. Best pads period though.
That's why I didn't buy the 3.0 yet. Love the 2.0 texture and I don't want it to be faster just bigger. I hope they will release a 2.0 in bigger size.
I hope to obtain a 3.0 in the future, currently have a 2.0
Thanks for the review! Did you notice any paint chipping or peeling off the back and edges of the pad? How do the corners feel? Do they feel rounded or sharp?
Mine is on the way cant wait to try it😁😁
Enjoy!
You already know I got those notifications on💯
lez gooooooo!
What's up dude great review and I have an question if u still have the streel series prime mini wireless could I have it
Best reviewer out there. Also agree with everything 100%
❤️
@@FreshReviewsYT Did yours come with the feet preinstalled? I've seen videos of 2.0 they came separately for you to install yourself. I got the 3.0 preinstalled
I am using it for development. Perfect for clicking those small buttons. Highly recommend!
On more serious note, I bought it because my aluminium mousepads are wearing out too fast. They develop shiny spots and my fingers get black (which probably isn't healthy). Just a regular Razer Deathadder Pro. Hope glass will be more resistant to wearing out.
Yep as long as you keep dust off it you basically just wear mouse feet out. The glass basically lasts for ever under normal wear.
Do you have any plans to review the akg r70x? I hear a lot of talk on them being better hd560s
Hello Mr Fresh, what is your main mouse pad at the moment is it still the Xten? Also any change of opinion on the BTL skates for the G Pro SL? I kind of want to try the Glass Skates for the SL when they go back into stock and use them with my Artisan Zero Soft, do you think that would give me a more controllable feel vs using the PTFE Skates with an Artisan Zero Mid or would the Mid just be better in that situation?
So i've been playing for a long time now and tried many mousepads, razer goliathus back in time, qck+, fnatic mousepads, etc.. and for each one of them i developed an allergic skin reaction, and it stressed me out because i had to use a hard pad for a while, which i haven't found comfortable and wasn't really what i looked for in terms of personal gameplay style, until i found my mionix sargas and the allergy stopped. But it's getting teary and old now, so i was looking for another one but i'm kinda scared i'll just have that problem again, so i don't really know how to deal with this? Anyone has any idea?
After trying superglides on my gpx, deadzones on the mouse pad are insanely obvious and annoying, ptfe on glass gives the most consistent aim feel as compared to ptfe on cloth. Plus side with glass is you dont have to wash it.
would love a reply! coming from the stryder which is a pretty fast hybrid mat which i’m in love with, with you recommend this for someone coming from that?
I got a 3.0, and the problem is that its not just flexing in the middle, its hanging down. So its almost touching my table in the middle and then on the outside obviously its on the feet. So its not an even pad rn, do u have that issue aswell? when i move from the middle to the side i always get light scratching. Do u ever get scratching when the pad is clean? i always have this scratchiness on the side bc its not really even!
What are the settings for your Apex cross hair?
Have you noticed humidity having any effect with glass skates? Great review as always fresh.
On the original superglides humidity does have a factor on full cloth pads. I noticed it is not as much of an issue on LGG skates and the new superglide prototype
This is a worthy upgrade over the skybad xl?
Let me preface this by saying I bought the Superglide skates and LOVED them at first. Unfortunately, over the next 6 weeks, they destroyed 2 of my mousepads. A Cordura pad and a GSR-SE both got significant slow/muddy/worn spots just from normal use. Arm/hand sweat that gets on the mousepad seems to get trapped in the glass feet, and then it sands down the mousepad and totally destroys it over time. You can avoid that by wiping your arm/skates frequently, or if you don't have sweaty palms, but otherwise - steer clear of the Superglides. I'm not sure what to do from here.
Very strange. I actually haven’t had that issue. However, you could try the lethal skates
how do you like the pulsar glass skates over the lgg skates in terms of static friction on a control pad
I actually really like both skates. The lethal gaming gear skates are very fast with very low friction which I really like. The pulsar are a bit more controlled it seems. I like using both and it’s very hard to pick one over the other lol. I find myself swapping between the two
how about hybrid pads like the infinity or the strider?
do you think it's fine to run glass skates on them?
Glass skates on hybrid works well
So you talked about ptfe on glass and glass on cloth, what about glass on glass? If wearing down the ptfe is a problem with the skypad then would using glass skates alleviate that or just wear both down? How does glass on glass even feel?
You don’t want to use glass on glass because it can cause one or the other to break
Will you do a review of the MVP wireless?
Yea I’m just a bit behind because of this cold
I want to know your crossshare RGB
is it faster than the acari?
I'm not sure if anyone will see this but is the mouse a skin ? If so are skins on mice worth it / where would I get one. Or is it a limited design.
Need to know where you got that SteelSeries mouse
Was a limited edition from steel series’ website
Will be ok if i use glass skates with this pad?
No, you don’t want to use glass on glass
Hello, I bought the skypad 3.0 my first glass mousepad however I did not have a good experience, at first the mousepad slid very well it felt very smooth but then the micromovements felt too slow. I am currently using a g pro superlight with skatez corepads. Any solution? by the way my new skatez just put on the mouse was too much wear was so much wear that was made in the mousepad that were spots on the skate as a brightness as it was scratched.
im not sure what i can say to help with the first part, but, the spots on the skates where it looks bright is normal as that is what happens when a soft material like the corepads gets used on a glass surface like the skypad.
I'm in the same situation as you, have heard that tiger ice is better on skypad. Corepad dont feel good at all.
I've ordered some but its not in stock, so I cant give you my opinion on that.
you can fix flex issue by buying your own silicone feet for it and put them in the middle
i already lay my wrist down so its perfect for me
How has this aged since cerapad kin and pulsar superglide?
I think my preference is the superglide pad. But they’re both great
@@FreshReviewsYT noted, that might be the one i get, thanks
I had to question if you were sick or you got a new mic for a good minute lol
Sick lol
Is this XL?
Ya
damn, fresh getting sick, go drink some tea
How does the speed compare to the Raiden?
Oh man, I actually do not have my Raiden to do a side by side comparison, but probably fairly close. The skypad is buttery smooth
I may have the same issue that I had with the Superglide feet and sweat causing a slow spot. Might have to consider wearing a sleeve that covers part of my wrist where it contacts the pad. Glass really highlighted that issue and never really had an issue before that
Former Raiden main/Skypad 3.0 owner here - Skypad is noticeably faster, and unlike the Raiden will presumably never lose its speed.
@@Killjoy.Z thanks mate 👌
I've hear people say the pad has less dynamic friction than the 2.0. Was wondering if you could tell me how the micro-movements or static friction feel like between the 2.0 and 3.0
It definitely seems like there is less static and dynamic friction. But I don’t find it to be so less so that it feels super slippery etc but some might find it hard to control if you have jittery aim etc
No, im using the 3.0 now after months of using the 2.0.
The 3.0 is a lot slower than the 2.0 for small micro movements with higher static friction.
The 2.0 had a rougher finish which actually speeds up initial movement due to lower contact surface area whereas the 3.0 is almost like playing on a flat piece of glass with very little texture, making it hard to start movement.
I dont think this reviewer even knows what static friction means
u still using this pad champ?
I still do from time to time Yea. Plays quite well
hard pad??
Seems like the skypad isn't the way to go if I don't wanna replace my feet every couple of months, but glass skates seem nice. Do have any info on what other mice LGG is planning on making glass feet for? If not, I would very much appreciate a short comparison between the bt.l skates and corepads as I currently feel I have to drag the UL2 with its stock feet even on a raiden pad.
There are making one for the Engame Gear, Vaxee, and Zowie Late January
@@BLAKGRIP yeah... fuck. Guess making expensive glass skates for limited mice like the ultralight 2 isn't the move.
@@clown5348 there not expensive just $20
@@BLAKGRIP I meant that theyre kinda expensive production wise so that maybe the company making them doesn't want to waste their time and resources on products for limited mice such as finalmouses.
Imo glass skates are awful. The most inconsistently muddy experience I’ve ever felt after the break in period.
The superglide v2s have no issues.
@@FreshReviewsYT interesting, I might have to pick some up when I get a fresh pad. I'm getting a superglide mousepad soon though so that'll probably be a minute. especially since artisan pads aren't on lgg anymore
speed pads are grossly overhyped honestly
not if you like speed pads.. what a dumb comment
They're really not. They are just niche pads for strong aimers. Most gamers need more friction to aim. It's likely just not for you.
