Yes, Freddie, you are doing the right thing for you and your family in honoring your mother by playing for 🇨🇦Team Canada🇨🇦 in the World Baseball Classic. Of course, she is proud of you ! Thank you ! Let’s go DODGERS 2023 !!! ⚾️⚾️⚾️ ROGER, The LOS ANGELES DODGER
Wow. Canadians love Freddie Freeman. He's one of us and a great role model for kids. RIP to his beloved mother. Freddie's dedication to her memory is truly awesome.
Dodger fan and a Canadian. You were born in California, but your actions speak to your character (something you learned from your parents and especially your mother), and it’s something I’d hope most Canadians and Americans support and respect. How could a mother not be proud of a person like this.
I'm sitting here crying my eyes out, I have a such a strong bond with my mother and I can't imagine her not being around for a big portion of my life. You're awesome Freddie.
A very touching story. He seems to have been raised very well, as well. We are very proud of you in Canada, Freddie! I visited Peterborough a few summers ago too! :)
As a Yankees fan watching the 2024 World Series I was hating him from a baseball perspective. But seeing Freddie the man he deserves those homeruns and championship. He had me tearing up talking about his mother. I lost mine in 2020 never felt the same again. Win it for her💪🏾
Freddie, I know your mom is proud, and it has nothing to do with baseball, and everything to do with the man you are. And she is honored by the incredible connection you have with her even though your time with her was so short. My father died when I was 12, and your story touched my heart and let me shed some tears that I needed to shed over the loss of my father, thank you for being you Freddie.
As a Canadian who’s a Dodgers fan, I find Freddie going above and beyond for what his parents would want! It’s heart touching to see him want to play for Canada ❤️
I'm not a huge baseball fan but happened to be watching Game 1 last night when Mr. Freeman crushed it! I love this back story and it's SO illuminating and inspiring. Thanks!
What a class act- The accolades that arise from his skill as an athlete are one thing but the character of this young man is even greater. Hall of Fame for sure. Loved seeing his “embrace” of his father thru the fence after his amazing HR in the World Series. Best wishes to you and your dear mother’s grandchildren. Love from Canada
As a Canadian from Victoria, B.C., from where the likes of Steve Nash and David Foster were born, my heart goes out to Freddie Freeman, who's truly a breath of fresh air.
Goodness, he is so blessed to have experience that kind of deep love from his mom. The deeper the love, the greater the pain. Sadly, most people will never get to experience that kind of love.
I’m Canadian and I watched for the first time in a very long time, this year’s World Series. You were ridiculous.👏This video just randomly came on while I was watching RUclips on my T.V. I lost my mother, a sister, and a brother, all to cancers (Breast Cancers and Melanoma ) within 19 months. So seeing this kind of floored me. You are a wonderful son, so I know your Mom is proud of how you are living your life. I follow a rule, I would never wear a jersey of someone younger than me, but if the Dodgers have a Freddie Freeman - I’m getting it. SOLBARI is an Australian company that makes clothing rated UPF 50+. In case you did not know. Congratulations on your Championship, but more importantly congratulations on being the man you are.💪🇺🇸🇨🇦
Pride for ur family i respect Freeman much love❤ of course honor your parents Freddie Freeman ...thanks for being a dodger ..Los Angeles California 213
Just when I thought I couldn’t like Freddie any more, I see this. It’s rare to idolize an athlete more for who they are and what they stand for… vs what they do on the field…but Freddie is a rare exception. While it’s probably true I wouldn’t have known who Freddie was if it wasn’t for baseball, I can genuinely say that the world needs more people like Freddie for who he is off of the field. What a great dude.
Even as a Padres fan, meaning, as someone who has nightmares about Freeman hitting against us, this guy is so likeable. Not just because of this, he seems like a very nice guy at First Base, what a man!
Don’t be afraid to show your tears Freddie! You cry and you show other men and young men that it’s ok to have emotions. It means you love her and you were lucky to have her. What an example you are to baseball fans.
Freddie, I can guarantee you. Your mom is very proud of you and the wonderful man, and father you have become. You honor her in your actions in how you live your life.
As a Canadian you do us proud. Your accomplishments in the world series couldn't happen to nicer guy. I know alot of Canadians live and work in California. Many attend LA Kings and lam sure many are Dodger fans because of you.
Well said young man. I lost my mom 8 years ago and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. There is nothing on the planet as strong as the bond between mother and son.
As a Dodgers fan I support him no matter who he plays for. I know he’s made his mom proud.
This is why I love Freddie Freeman😢
Your mom is so proud of you Freddie, she's watching over you. We're all proud of you!!
As A jay fan and Canadian...Thank you Sir you are a awesome son. Your mom and dad raised a great young man.
Much props to you sir, your mother would be very proud of what you have accomplished in your career.

Freddie Freeman the epitome of class!

I’m so sorry about that 😭😭🙏❤️🕊️🕊️
One of my favorite players of all time and I’m a Yankee fan. God Bless your family.
Hopefully that feeling hasn't changed.😉
Yankees fan but hearing his story and watching him dominate in the World Series I have nothing but respect and congratulations for this man.
I'm sitting here crying my eyes out, I have a such a strong bond with my mother and I can't imagine her not being around for a big portion of my life. You're awesome Freddie.
You are a sweet person. Thank you for your comment.
Freedie is my favorite player I loved hid since I was a little boy

A very touching story. He seems to have been raised very well, as well. We are very proud of you in Canada, Freddie! I visited Peterborough a few summers ago too! :)
Mom did a great job but you can tell his dad stepped up big time after her death.
Freddie is genuine,…truly a beautiful soul ❤️
Our world would be better if we had more Freddie’s‼️
As a Yankees fan watching the 2024 World Series I was hating him from a baseball perspective. But seeing Freddie the man he deserves those homeruns and championship. He had me tearing up talking about his mother. I lost mine in 2020 never felt the same again. Win it for her💪🏾
Toronto blue jays fan here. I didn't have a dog in the race this WS but I really was rooting for the Yanks to make an historic comeback.
@@markbade565 freddie crushed 6 homers in 6 straight World series games
A true jays fan would never cheer for yankees
@@The_Wiry_Woodchuck wanting a team to comeback from 3-0 doesn’t make them a huge Yankees fan makes them a Fan of baseball wanting to see history.
Great man as dodger fan I have so much respect for Freddie 😢

He’s seriously the best human ever….i don’t know if I’ve ever had so much admiration and respect for an athlete like I do for him.
I love this. I respect this man.
My eyes got a little sweaty. What a guy, Freddy - I'm sure your mom would be proud of you on Team Canada and the World Series MVP.

Not a baseball fan, but read about his grand slam and read his wiki bio. What an awesome guy and professional athlete. Not many as classy as this guy.
As a Canadian we love that you play for us
A mother's love is so special. Thank you, freddie, for sharing your story and reminding me of my blessing
I'm not a huge baseball fan but happened to be watching Game 1 last night when Mr. Freeman crushed it! I love this back story and it's SO illuminating and inspiring. Thanks!
