I was really enjoying all your picks, then let out an involuntary Owen Wilson "wow" when you held up 'Bubba Ho-Tep'. I loved that movie! Haven't seen it since its initial release, so I should really revisit it.
The original Pet Sematary is an awesome movie. I am a massive Stephen King fan. I watched Cat's Eye recently. Great movie with cameos from Christine and Cujo at the beginning of the movie. I also love the original Firestarter, Christine, the original Carrie and Dreamcatcher. Also I've just finished watching Breakdown, for the first time. Fantastic movie.
Found 'Crawl' yesterday at a lawnbroker :), along with 24 other horror movies.

What a fantastic haul! I remember watching Storm of the Century with my mum when I was like 13/14? It scared me so bad. I've been meaning to rewatch it ever since.

I just watched your first video after you put it on your community tab. So for me you did back to back videos talking about The Dead Zone! It's one of my fav Stephen King adaptations too. And Bubba Ho-Tep is amazing! Loved it when it came out. Need to rewatch it.
Great selection of dvds! I absolutely love Storm of the Century and would love to get my hands on the screenplay. There are a couple you mentioned there that I haven't seen, so will have to track them down!
I, too, have been looking for Storm of the Century on DVD forever!!! So glad you told me about it on Hulu. I check often. But I guy was not often enough. I look for Rose Red too. I really like the tv version of Salem’s Lot with Rob Lowe.
I love that version of Salem’s Lot too! It’s not as good as the original, but there are still moments that are creepy and fun!
Some great films here, particularly The Dead Zone, Dog Soldiers, Bubba Ho-Tep, and The Lost Boys. A book about the making of Dog Soldiers called “Sausages” just came out. It sounds great.

Stigmata is a classic rewatchable delight. Also there is a movie called Red Lights (2012) that I enjoy that if you haven't seen it you may enjoy.

Hey Amanda, I just got done watching 'Storm of the Century' on your recommendation. Your description of the small-town atmosphere, the storm readiness, and the absolutely frightening portrayal of the demon/wizard all were spot on. This was a fun ride...and I didn't even look at my watch once. Keep up the good work!

This is off-topic from this video, but have you watched the Ash vs. Evil Dead series? I wasn't even a fan of the movies, but I thought the show was HUGE fun. Every episode is packed with the best one-liners. And the most ridiculous gore, if you're into that.
The show was such a blast! It was so fun and funny. Some of the episodes were outrageous, but I remember laughing so hard and being in disbelief over what they got away with showing 😂
I do something similar I take pictures of all my horror dvds 📀 in my collection & I made them into an album in my galaxy s22 photo gallery so when I'm shopping 🛍 4 more horror dvds 📀 2 add 2 my amazing collection that I ♥️ so very much I won't re buy the horror titles I already have great minds think alike

i just read "Pretty Girls"by Karen Slaughter...WOW what a rollar coaster ride of a book that was!!! "Storm of the Century" started out good but had a dissapointing ending IMO "The Night Flier" was awesome
the book is totally messed up and i enjoyed the hell out of the entire thing, especially its ending. love how the villain gets theirs for all of their cruelties at the end.
Is the villain in storm of the century the same one from the stand and the dark tower series? Randall Flag i believe?
The villain is named Andre Linoge! I haven’t read the Dark Tower series so I’m not sure if he’s connected in any way
Love your dvd haul, The Nightflier is one of my faves ! Do you got Thinner in your collection ? Breakdown is great, other thriller that I like with Kurt Russell is Unlawful Entry. Last addition in my collection is Two Witches from Arrow.
I do not have Thinner in my collection yet. That one actually always bothered me when I was little lol
the dead zone i liked, king took the true story of the clairvoyant peter kurkos who helped the police to find murders,,The night flier count dracula traveling with plane and hunting victims,..king took that from one original script of tod brownings dracula 1931 were dracula instead of traveling to england on the merchant ship Demeter traveled on a plane with bat wings, obviously it was rejected,,i think its wrong on the cover they show the face of the vampire, in the movie it only showed nearly at the end it loses suspense

finally found a copy of my bloody valentine 09. have a feeling it's nowhere near as good as the original 80s classic.
insidious 3 is an underrated sequel. probably my favorite of the series.

very good movie ,you got some stephen king movies his good writer but he copied a lot from other writers and film makers ,.pet cemetary is from shelleys frankenstein,..the dad is a doctor like frankenstein who moves with his family to new town and there buries his family after their death for bring them to live again ¿the graveyard where frankenstein get the corpses for bring them to live? we have a wink there, the old actor fred gwynne was the monster of frankenstein in the munsters,....

What a great haul! I can't believe I still haven't seen Night Flier, been keeping an eye out for that and Storm of the Century for my collection. Evil Dead 2 is my favourite in the series, its my go-to movie when I need cheering up.
Did you know there are a few sequels to Deep Blue Sea? I haven't given them a try yet, but probably will at some point, just to see what they're like.
I haven’t seen any of the sequels to Deep Blue Sea yet. I have a feeling they won’t live up to the first one for me
