All the kids nailed the poo jokes, but Bailey deserves special credit for her willingness to both stay with the joke and and also for the quality of her dry delivery never giving a hint that she was joking. Brilliant. Has she tried stand up?
@@its_sigh9545 they are classified as a mammal…regardless, civets are mammals, but they aren’t cats. That’s what I was getting at. Even though they are commonly referred to as cats
The reason it's supposed to be so good is because the digestive system of the civet is supposed to break down the acidity of the coffee. Which gives it it's smooth taste.
Bailey is absolutely hysterical and charming with it 🤣 Like she’s such a cute little girl and she says the funniest things! And she’s so intelligent, it’s incredible! Her comedic timing is everything.
**flashbacks to my days of high school when a neighboring farmer would spray his fields with manure fertilizer and the NC heat would make the smell a thousand times worse & bc my vehicle didn't have a working AC, I couldn't escape the smell**
I loved the way it dawned on each of them by age order from oldest to youngest the way that the coffee beans come to be. That was hilarious. Like a comedy sketch. 🤣🤣
I’ve had this coffee in Indonesia and in northern Thailand. I think it’s so great that you try to expose your kids to different foods at home. I’d highly recommend traveling to either of those countries if you get the chance, both are great for kids and we saw lots of families traveling when were there.
I learned about this coffee from “The Bucket List,” the Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman movie. I’ve always kinda wondered about it, but I think I’m still good with not spending the money. Also, Jessica’s sudden laugh at 23:00 was perfect.
I would love for you to try the cheapest coffee you can find versus the most expensive one but blindfolded and see if you can taste a difference or name which is which.
Hahahaahah man I love Bailey!!! “Can we say only poop” Bailey: “I don’t think so” hahahahaha I can’t! Also the “I do have a reference” just as causal as talking about what she had for breakfast! She’s just epic!!
I have been LOVING these taste test videos!!! It’s amazing that you allow your kids to try new things and they are allowed to form their own likes or dislikes without any negativity 💜💜💜💜 YES to more Ballinger family tries!
This is by far my favorite video they have ever made!! It shows how amazing of a human Christopher is and how good he is with his kids it also shows all of their personalities perfectly and it’s Christopher’s pleasure in life is coffee and he has the best of the best!! I love this family sooo much!! Chris and Jess are doing life right!!
I love how excited your kids are about foods and new experiences. I would love to see more at home adventures. You could even make national dishes from different countries. The kids seem very talented and interested in cooking as well. Have one kid and parent make the dish and share it with the other kids. Whatever you end up doing I will surely watch and enjoy
Very interesting video, I had never heard of this. I looked up a few articles and it seems people take advantage of these poor animals for this, the caged ones you were discussing. Thank you for keeping me informed on topics I would have never researched before! You do a wonderful job at educating your children ❤️
Loved this! Would love more of these. Even different categories like chocolates and cheeses, etc. Love you guys...thanks for all the work you put into your vids to make us all smile. 💕
What did the caffeine addict name his cats? Cream and Sugar. Civets are kinda cats. They're part of the same suborder (Feliformia) as the regular house cat, but not the same family. Civets are a member of the Viverridae family, meaning they are more closely related to the binturong (or the bearcat) and genets. Civets are native to both Asia and Africa. Kopi Luwak is from Indonesia, which is in the range of the more specific Asian palm civet
Yep, Kopi Luwak is from Indonesia. Philippines have different name for it and so other South East Asia countries who produce this type of coffee. Kopi Luwak have become the term standard for this type of coffee.
i love this so much! also, Bailey's dry humor with the poop jokes are so so so funny! i can't stop laughing 🤣 awesome video, and I can't wait for more episodes of this if ever!!!!
Wow, Bailey was stuck on the poop thing. 😂 But I totally get it. I love her reaction, the moment she realized where those beans came from. 🤣 Also, Yay Ballinger family for watching Rhett & Link!
I like this format. The older kids are smart and give an honest opinion. You could try expensive vs cheap food. You could have the kids guess the price.
Bailey! 😂 I laughed so hard I cried. She was on top of the poop jokes this entire video. Poor Chris just about had it by the end of this and then Jessica chimed in! 😂😂 This video was worth the expensive poobeans.
Yes, more video’s like this. Love your family you and Jessica are just beautiful inside and out. Love watching the way you included the kid’s. Parents of the year! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Great job kiddos “poop” 😂😂😂😂😂
Learning with the Ballinger's. This should be a section on the RUclips. I don't like coffee but I thoroughly enjoy learning about it with you and your kids.
This was such a fun video!! I love coffee as well, so I enjoyed your guys’s poopy perspectives on civet coffee. I think more of these videos would be a fun idea 🤩
Ok they definitely clean the beans, you would get extremely sick otherwise, the process of having it go through the animal is to easily and sustainably pick the beans, and for quality.
I was really sitting there thinking "why are wild animals harvesting coffee beans for humans, how do they bring them to the humans? how do they carry the coffee beans???" 🤦🏻♀️
same and when they said it was selected naturally i thought they tasted it and if they didnt like it they pushed it aside and if they did then they squeaked or smt 😭
Your family is so entertaining I would literally watch any content you put out! Also, I love that the smell and taste of coffee the kids just say reminds them of Starbucks 🤣 which is arguably not that great of coffee. This did make me more curious about trying a pour over at home though!
I remember learning about this kind of coffee in high school. There is also a coffee made the same way by elephants. It’s called black ivory coffee and it’s the rarest coffee in the world.
I loved this vlog, really amazing review, your kids are amazing. 💛BTW The fermentation process during the digestion process of the Luwak(animal)also adds to the flavour. Had it Indonesia, super special.
I loved this! I want to see y'all try all the things. I also enjoyed the holiday Starbucks video y'all did. My hubby and my son are the coffee drinkers but I like it occasionally. I think it would be cool to see them try Tea with Jessica.
I like it when the kids give their comments on the coffee before Christopher does! In the Starbucks one Christopher went first, I like in this one that the kids give their opinions first. Not that any one person is right or wrong, but he’s been tasting coffee longer
This was great, love to see more like it! I’ve visited a kopi luwak farm in Bali. We tried a tasting board of 20 coffees and teas/ infusions. I agree that kopi luwak is too much money for the flavour/ experience, but it is lovely. It’s not just special special because the civets choose the best berries, but because it’s partially digested- their stomach acids remove a lot of the bitterness hence why it’s so smooth.
The entire time I was laughing along with you all :,) haha The whole time I had Kanye's 'Poopdi Scoop' song playing, which made me laugh so much harder at the times you all were joking and actually engaging in questions to know more about the poop coffee. I love how Chris made it a science kind of taste testing! You all are awesome! Edit: I'm still watching and I just had to comment on all of your humor. Especially Bailey's and Chris' reaction to it :,) haha Also, there are several other animals that produce coffee poop, but Chris seems pooped out :,)
You did great with the pour over Chris! The only thing I think you’re supposed to do it rinse the filter with hot water before you put the grounds in. Everything else you did correctly!
NEXT! Try Turkish Coffee and my favorite Dibek Coffee which is an Ottoman Empire style of coffee combined with many flavours. I’m sure you guys will love it! ❤️❤️much love
I would love to watch you guys try more things I enjoyed this video very much. I did really like your idea of trying fancy stuff vs non fancy stuff and seeing if you guys can figure it out that would be really cool.
I'm from Indonesia, one of country that produced civet coffee. In fact Kopi is Indonesian word for coffee. Beside from wild civet there are cheaper alternatives that from caged civet, which the civet get feed the coffee beans so they produce more coffee. There are lots of good coffee from Indonesia you should try some :)
All three of these kids should be in regular school with kids their own age. It is time, even Duncan would love to play with other friends. Children need more when they get older. Just a thought.
All the kids nailed the poo jokes, but Bailey deserves special credit for her willingness to both stay with the joke and and also for the quality of her dry delivery never giving a hint that she was joking. Brilliant. Has she tried stand up?
@Passive Panda same
Bailey is definitely Colleen The Next Generation.
Maybe she wasn’t joking at all lol I mean she did eat sand and fully believed it was cake lol her brain is amazing
@@shellyb2042 I agree about her brain.
Lol no I think they're definitely just 'being teenagers'
i love how every time chris called the coffee something else like civet coffee or coffee the kids corrected him and were like “poop”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣same
Civet, they’re often called cats, but they are actually mammals…lol yeah poop coffee 🤣
@@EvelynRobinson22 lol thanks
@@EvelynRobinson22 Cats are mammals
@@its_sigh9545 they are classified as a mammal…regardless, civets are mammals, but they aren’t cats. That’s what I was getting at. Even though they are commonly referred to as cats
Christopher was like “okay” *shrug* at the kids poop talk as if he didn’t expect them to turn out just like him and Colleen 😂
Omg YESSSSS
“Have a pet that’s poop is actually useful”. I feel that Bailey. I feel that. Hahaha
The way Parker gently puts Bailey's hair behind her ear and then smiles...06:50
So cute
I noticed that too
The reason it's supposed to be so good is because the digestive system of the civet is supposed to break down the acidity of the coffee. Which gives it it's smooth taste.
Interesting
Cool. I'm guessing they also pick the berries at peak ripeness, so you don't end up with unripe ones during a human or automated picking process
Bailey is absolutely hysterical and charming with it 🤣 Like she’s such a cute little girl and she says the funniest things! And she’s so intelligent, it’s incredible! Her comedic timing is everything.
chris "just a disclaimer i'm not a barista"
parker: "i am"
😂
Next school lesson for Jessica and the kids: all the animals who have useful poop. 😆😉
I can totally see that lol
**flashbacks to my days of high school when a neighboring farmer would spray his fields with manure fertilizer and the NC heat would make the smell a thousand times worse & bc my vehicle didn't have a working AC, I couldn't escape the smell**
I love that their ONLY reference to coffee is Starbucks lol
Coffee smell = Starbucks 😂
Christopher was shaking hahahaha
I loved the way it dawned on each of them by age order from oldest to youngest the way that the coffee beans come to be. That was hilarious. Like a comedy sketch. 🤣🤣

I’d highly recommend traveling to either of those countries if you get the chance, both are great for kids and we saw lots of families traveling when were there.
So that’s why Duncan drinks his water with a spoon to enrich the flavor
I love how Jessica and Christopher always make things into a learning experience for the kids. So awesome!
I learned about this coffee from “The Bucket List,” the Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman movie. I’ve always kinda wondered about it, but I think I’m still good with not spending the money.
Also, Jessica’s sudden laugh at 23:00 was perfect.
Yep lol.
Same! I was thinking of the movie throug out the video!
Would love to watch y'all do a blind taste test to see if you guys could identify which coffees were more expensive!! :)
Chris was really being tested by the universe every time the kids said it was like Starbucks 😂
Hahaha!
“It’s already got gasses trapped in there”. Jake with the pin of the day
I would love for you to try the cheapest coffee you can find versus the most expensive one but blindfolded and see if you can taste a difference or name which is which.
That would be a fun idea
Jacob and Bailey are so intelligent. And hilarious! All four of them kept me laughing for the entire video. 😂😂😂
Hahahaahah man I love Bailey!!! “Can we say only poop” Bailey: “I don’t think so” hahahahaha I can’t! Also the “I do have a reference” just as causal as talking about what she had for breakfast! She’s just epic!!
Im curious now
"the most overpriced coffee"
😂 Parker already has the mindset of a consumer. They grow up so fast. Starbucks should learn a thing or two from him
Pretty sure he’s heard that about paying for espresso drinks out of the house. Chris has a nice espresso machine at home.
Dont you mean 'what you'd like to see us do-do?'
Bailey had me strait up dying. Loved the Austin Powers throwback too

Yes, I would love more taste testing videos!! They're so entertaining but relaxing at the same time. I love them!
“I knew it had something to do with poop” 😂
Bailey, I was thinking the exact same thing, and then you said it. lol!

Chris: I don't have a reference point for how poo tastes.
Bailey: I do.
Loving her little poo comments throughout!! 😂😂😂

Haha that’s funny, because my cat had two kittens and my mum decided to name them Vanilla and Latte (after her favorite drink) 😂
ya all are such a BEAUTIFUL strong FAMILY . love that.you let them totally be themselves .and they are all awesome.
Love how everyone was so game to try stuff. Bailey is so brave! I could never think of wanting to try Balut...
I absolutely love Parker’s energy!! He’s so genuinely excited about life!!
I vote for a segment of “” ballinger tries” on vlogmas!

Bailey you are absolutely amazing. Wish Duncan was old enough to try the coffee would have loved to hear his commentary as well
I was talking about this yesterday with my friend! I used to live in Bali, Indonesia and it's a super popular drink/souvenir there!
“They’re actually collecting the berry best”
Heyyyyy I see what you did there
Love the blink sounds & Duncan’s winking sounds so fun!
I'm just continually impressed with these kiddos! So open minded and well rounded

Ok they definitely clean the beans, you would get extremely sick otherwise, the process of having it go through the animal is to easily and sustainably pick the beans, and for quality.
Hilarious and highly entertaining. My morning coffee experience was enhanced today.
Congrats on Wesley and Maisey. They are BEAUTIFUL
Yes! I love when you guys do taste tests. They're funny to watch!
I loved Parker’s description of how it tastes. 😆
I was really sitting there thinking "why are wild animals harvesting coffee beans for humans, how do they bring them to the humans? how do they carry the coffee beans???" 🤦🏻♀️

A blind taste test would be quite entertaining, as well as a blindfolded texture test, where unusual things are to be identified by feeling only.
Omg the Austin Powers reference made me literally laugh out loud 😂 Those movies are hilarious and I love them hahaha
Yes! Please do more tasting different things, I love watching those videos!
I adore the conversation with PB and J
