@@blackbeltreads The Road was my first as well. Since then, I have read No Country for Old Men (Anton 😳), and most recently, Blood Meridian which was soooo bleak! I'll definitely read more of his books in the future.
Those are both great places to start with McCarthy. The road if you want dark, haunting atmosphere. ATPH if you want beautiful landscape, horses and a stoic protagonist. Can’t go wrong

Nobody does dark quite like Cormac McCarthy.
I had only ever read The Road. A couple years back I decided to read all his books in publishing order and it’s been an amazing journey.

i have yet to read McCarthy. The Road and All the pretty horses are ones id be most interested in checking out from him.
