There are times where I find Bolin’s antics annoying, but he’s overall just a friendly guy who just wants to do things right and make people happy.

I saw this TikTok that said Bolin is such a kind person because Mako but I also believe it's also because he saw that Mako was probably getting stressed with taking care of him and living on the street and wanted to make Mako happy

I would agree with the statement! Bolin and Mako's relationship is one that compliments the other. Bolin might be a little silly, but he does know how to help Mako loosen up once in a while.

Bolin is one of many characters I resonate hard with. A lot of people wrote him off as discount Sokka but tbh, unlike Sokka, Bolin was a lovable goob from the start. You can make the argument that that makes his growth not as compelling to watch but I’m personally fine with it. He grew in the sense that being more serious when the situation calls for it and being more mature about his relationships was important. So sure, he was a little forward with Korra in the beginning and yeah, the forced love triangle got a bit hard to watch but once he and Korra aired things out, he became a much better friend with time. And even though things didn’t work out with Korra, he found something even more beautiful with Opal.
His love life aside, he’s the perfect example of someone learning their strengths and applying them in ways only they can. He couldn’t become a metalbender so he eventually discovered his rare ability to lavabend like Ghazan. I love him so much. 🥹💚

He may not have found his purpose yet, but he loves every bit of who he is and life as a whole! That right there is a truly wonderful thing =)

Bolin is just that Friendly Bro energy that everyone just loves. Sure he won't surpass Sokka's legacy of course not but he's diffidently one of the more memorable characters, and Honestly out of the crew he's actually gained a girlfriend that didn't come from that stupid love triangle nonsense, so Yeah a win for Bolin! He's one of the best parts of this show.
And I super relate to Bolin in feeling aimless in finding my purpose.

Lavabending for sure. Dough I'm a little dissapointed that he didn't learned metalbending, it gives the vibe of "don't put effort in anything untill you find something you are good at from the start"

I kind of see it as a hard truth. In life, there are things that you just can't do. For Bolin, that's metal bending. Even though he wanted to learn it so bad he just didn't have the skills for it. And that's okay because he found an even better ability in Lavabending!

You're not alone. I think lava bending is so cool, but then again it can be very dangerous. So, for practicality, I would stick to metal bending. If we are going for cool-for-cool's-sake, I'd go for lava

Lavabending is super dangerous. However, if they learn how to master their craft. Lavabending could be really practical in demolition-related jobs in construction.

Okay, boss, metal vs lava bending? Easily one of the roughest questions in the Avatar universe. Any bending type can be sick af depending on the user, IE Toph making earth bending the most terrifying thing or Azula with fire bending. I guess if it's concept by itself, lava bending is sick. Combing both earth and water teachings into this wave of fiery, molten rock? Rad as FUCK. Then, metal bending itself is just earth bending on STEROIDS with how powerful steel and iron is to just... hit someone with. Or restrain someone.
Either can be the coolest thing at best or just decent at worst.
