  • This is a variation of another fly I use a lot, the Ruckus Minnow (check out that video on my channel). Instead of craft fur, this fly is constructed entirely out of Ripple Ice Fiber. The material is very easy to work with, durable, folds easily, and is obviously extremely flashy. Works great when the water is stained. Use a sink tip or intermediate line, and give it hard popping strips to make it dig and swim like it should. This thing flashes like crazy, which allows the fish to see it from a long way off, especially in dirty water. Another color combo I love is Sand Ripple Ice Fiber with Gold Ripple Ice Fiber, but I thought this color scheme (Pearl & Chartreuse) would show up better on the camera.

Thanks for sharing. How does it swim with that offset?

Swims like a wounded minnow. Downward darts with each strip then hovers on the pause without sinking too fast 🤯
