    you should just melt butter and a spoon of fish sauce with some sugar and then toss a fried chicken (without even having a bready crust) in it. it's SO good.

    This is our typical to go to fried chicken wings on the weekend. We would pair it with our Vietnamese Sweet Coconut Sticky Rice (Xoi). Yummmm! Love the chicken dance! 🤣😂🤣

    this is called "cánh gà chiên nước mắm" in Vietnamese which is literally “fish sauce fried chicken wings” and my mom makes this all the time ☺️ love this version

    Thank you for sharing. I am Chinese. I cook my Chinese deep fried salt and pepper chicken wings the exact same way, except I use salt instead of fish sauce. I would like to learn how the Korean cook their chickens, the flavor is quite interesting, does anyone know how to cook that, because Korean restaurant near me is very expensive

    is it just me or at the wings close up I can still see a unplucked feathers on the skin of the chicken really grosses me out wahh!! these could be removed my rubbing rocksalt or coarse salt when washing the birbbbb! wahhh!

    I think we really do need a „legs and thighs girl“ shirt. Used chicken breast before but will never go back after Marion showed me the true hero of the chicken. That was such a game changer. Whenever i cook with thighs now i always hear her in the back of my mind ^^

    I made this for lunch today (I don't cook often) and it came out an absolute treat! Sadly we were too impatient to eat to take any pics, but absolutely loved it!! The sauce was amazing and really went well with it. My wife made a wettish fried rice and complimented the chicken (leg, thighs and wings). The video you posted today Sticky Pork Ribs is going to be my next dish :)

    amazing recipe, only one note, i usually remove the hair on chicken wings before marinating them, here in australia, the wings are not always completely clean of all hair.

    Crack! I am addicted these are my new favorite wings! Tip after first fry put in fridge until later in evening when you will serve then do seconds fry. Also make sauce ahead but add lime juice right before you are going to serve

    Marion, the end result of your fried chicken was probably good, but it took forever to get there. Let's have less talking and 'personal camera time', and more cooking. By the way, no one eats the Winglet so why is it left attached to take up room in the pan. (Chicken Wing: Drum, Flat, and Winglet). Save the Winglet in the freezer for Chicken Stock, or just toss it.

    Looks so delicious. If you’re a fan of the cornstarch version, there’s another Vietnamese fried chicken you can try: _arrow root powder_ fried chicken w/turmeric. Sooo delicious. It’s also used in sweet potato (matchstick) fried shrimp croquets. They sell the batter powder packets at Vietnamese supermarkets. 👍

      May want to try the sodium free chicken stock cubes. I never buy the regular cubes WAY too salty for my taste.

    I just made these wings for dinner tonight and they turned out SO well! Very spicy and very good!
    I had to make a few little adjustments: I used honey instead of sugar because I don’t have sugar in the house, I didn’t do the friend garlic topping because I wanted to eat quickly and I didn’t have a chicken stock cube to put in the marinade. For me, I didn’t think the wings needed the chicken stock cube because the wings were full of flavor when all was said and done.
    When I make the recipe again, I’ll use a little less fish sauce and fewer chilies. This is my first time using fish sauce and it’s very salty. As for the chilies, I used three small ones, as recommended, and they blew my socks off. On top of a good dinner, I cleared out my sinuses, let me tell you! I am going to have to inch my tolerance levels up slowly, in terms of spice and heat. I didn’t grow up on super spicy food like some of you out there. But, I highly recommend making this recipe: it’s delicious and doesn’t take much time. If you make it for guests, they are sure to be impressed. A great alternative, I think, to the usual old boring wings people pass around when they’re watching a game or a movie on TV, together. It’s ten notches above that! Just make sure to have lots of cold drinks handy! These wings bring the heat - but so tasty!

      In soy sauce when we buy it ... as a rule of thumb the more expensive it is the better the taste .... I’m sure it is too with fish sauce

    What a delicious fried chicken wings right there ! I’ve been cooking fried chicken but I never use fish sauce. Chicken wings never goes wrong with you.. I love the way you entertained viewers. Hahahaha. I’m one of your fan. 👍

    Usually to make the fish sauce, we just put sugar, water, white vinegar, fish sauce on the stove first. Take it off the stove and then add garlic, chilli and lime. This way they are fresh and bright.
