- New adventure begins as we finally collect our Unimog which in a year's time will be an ultimate off-road expedition camper truck. Our Unimog is a ex-Dutch army truck. We can't wait to see it transform into a cozy tiny home for us. It will take us on an overlanding trip around the world and will give us a safe space to explore everything along the way.

Oh yes... We've given ourselves until March next year to have the majority of it done as that is when the MOT runs out and it would be good to re-register the truck as a camper 🤞

Sounds good. A Unimog should deliver that. We want a comfortable place to live in and travel but at the same time not to be worried about it being damaged. We just thought that if we had an almost new shiny Sprinter we would be too precious about it and end up stressing too much.
How come you two don't have more Subscribers. I'm looking forward to follow your progress on the lovely Unimog. Keep up the good work.

Congrats on finding and deciding on a very fine truck and one that will do everything you can think of and keep coming back for more! The last Unimog I purchased is exactly like yours U1300L and the one before that was a 404 its a giant upgrade from the 404 to the 1300, but it seems to be a natural progression! I will stay tuned to see how you folks do with your quest it sounds pretty incredible and I wish you a ton of luck!

@@victorsvanventures6753 hello Victor I am from North Dakota in the US. I love living here because of the very limited number of people and the great hunting and fishing. It's getting closer to winter here my wife and I drove our Unimog into town the other day and the temp was around 40 degrees and you can sure tell by how the transmission feels when shifting what the weather is doing. Tomorrow will be my last day of the year for my truck, I will bring it over to my warehouse with the rest of my trucks plug the batteries in and it's done till Spring! I will miss driving that truck a whole lot till Spring. I can already hardly wait Victor! Great luck with your truck and enjoy it every time you drive it. Take care and have a great year Victor.
Hey guys just a word to make shifting a bit easier on the 1300, it likes to be double clutched both up and down, if you make this a regular practice it makes shifting extremely easy!

Ah yes, the portals did leak on route back to LT we ended up having both the hub seals changed as one of them was, as we say in the UK, 'shit-minced' :) Is that what you are referring to, or another?

We paid €27 250. With all the transit paperwork and expenses for moving it to Luthuania it cost us just under €30 000.

@@victorsvanventures6753 dont be shy! i am in the market for a u130l to drive in the aussie bush expot it fromthe uk, yours had 9k on the cock which seems highin comparason to what is on the market,average price inthe uk for a80s 9os modelis 30 k plus vat which i see as over priced,i am guessing you pid about 30k euro, but you did get a push rod with it! deffinatly saw some unique fottage with your videos that will helpme thin out thebad and good ones!
