I finished tumbling 500 rounds of 223 and used the Hornady resizing die and was able to get maybe 2 out of 5 to fit the case die. So, I purchased this die tonight and I'm just hoping I get similar results that you are getting. I'll let you know.
Prior to having this die I was using an SB RCBS and would have many that wouldn't pass the case gauge. Also had a lee set for my first 223 set.. they would work, just not as consistent. Thanks for watching and good luck with yours.
Awesome review! Looks like their FL die does the job. Many run those on a 1050 setup for ammo manufacturing. Would like to try one, or Lymans new pro dies. Funny I had a lil discussion about using FL small base dies in 300AAC
Thanks Kenny.. definitely quality dies.. I've seen those Lyman pro dies.. they look good as well.. I have a rcbs sb die and even that I was having trouble with the nickle cases and a few brass. Give Wayne at mighty a message.
Good job! You're really good at the video editing also...I still do case prep. 50 at a time. Then primer, powder, then bullet seating using 2 single stage presses. Have too many different load recipes and different bullet weights from many bullet manufacturers...At least one recipe for one optimized special purpose for that caliber,....Slower process but works for me.
Thanks.. I'll be doing these in a single stage.. I'll prime a hundred then charge, then seat.. my progressive press isnt set up for rifle loading. Thanks for watching..
Both powders are good for bulk. Me personally I usually go with the powder that gives me good velocity and accuracy with as small of powder charge as possible. So if 748 takes a 24 gr charge and blc2 takes a 27 gr charge I would use 748. Just to get that couple extra loading per pound but that's just me being cheap. Other than that 2 great powders for bulk reloading. I watched a video on that die a long time ago and am actually looking for a new sizing die because mine is wore out. If I recall correctly doesn't the mighty die just come as a resizer and that's it.
They have a bunch of new products available now.. I know what your saying about getting those few extra out of a pound. Those add up.. thanks for watching.
OK. I know this video is two yrs. old, but why in the world are you loading FMJ ammunition? Really. What point does it serve? You can’t hunt with it. Is it for plinking?
Just ordered a large set of these dies for 223, 357mag and 9mm, I hope they perform as advertised. Im sure they will from everything I've read..
Very cool.. yea they make some top tier equipment !
Many of the auto loaders use these dies. You definitely couldn't go wrong with your purchase.
I have there grendel die ,way better than the Lee i was using before
It's like night and day different.

Nice editing I would try BL-C2 sometimes lee die don’t cut it that’s why I use Redding body die for my 308 I get consistency when sizing
Thanks, I should load a few with each to see how they'll do..
I like the 748 , but I never tried the BLC2
I haven't tried either in 223 yet. I should test a few before loading 1k. Thanks for watching..

How much neck tension did you have with the die? Asking since it’s not a bushing type. Also, how consistent was the shoulder bump?
