I have always thought of myself as creative...BUT, I DON'T HOLD A CANDLE TO YOU!!! I have been designing and hand crafting Sterling silver jewelry for 27 years, BUT, I have never been able to make a business out of it...I am a 64 year old lady but I'm still making my jewelry!!! I just wanted to say how VERY IMPRESSED I AM ABOUT YOU!!! Thanks for ALL OF YOUR WONDERFUL IDEAS...AND YOU ARE SO PLEASANT TO WATCH!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! Love y'all, Georgia Lane
Love this! Quick tip. If you wanted to machine sew this you could use a ‘walking’ foot which feeds both layers of fabric evenly. You won’t get the uneven ends or puckering like some times happens when you use a regular foot.
As always, I am impressed with your creativity. I may not use the same ideas as you BUT (& this is the important point) I feel so free to reconstruct other things in my closet or what I find in other places because of your encouragement. Thank you! Thank you!
I still can’t understand why your channel still didn’t reach the over 1 million subscribers! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your diy’s❤️ keep up the amazing work Orly 🥰❤️
This might be a two scarf project for my body.😂 I will definitely be doing this one because of the hand sewing which I am good at doing until I get a sewing machine. This will be going into my save folder. This project came out really great. And looks marvelous on you. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
Orly -- wow, LOOKING lovely! That shade of green is *so pretty* on you... The draping in front & back is so elegant. I love that it's a classic style & the black boots -- perfection! You're killing it! I wonder how this would look as a long sweater with leggings & riding boots? Such a great idea! I love your enthusiasm & your well designed home as well! *Thank you* for all you do to inspire us!
Orly, this is amazing. So in love with this. I have a shorter scarf, but long enough to make a top to wear up under a suit. I’m so in love with this. Thanks abundantly for this tutorial❤️👍🏽
OMG I have this beautiful orange linen scarf that my husband gave me that I never wear because it's just too much for my little neck and head. This is so perfect for it.
For me, you re the best designer! Your creates s easy to do, but they become wonderful, pretty after. It encourage me to DIY my clothes, even I don't know how to sew!
Your kindness and generosity shines through in every piece you create, Orly! You are not only are a creative genius, but a beautiful soul as well! Bless 💫
Every time I hear those drums from your intro I know it’s Friday it’s going to be a great day and I’m about to see something so cool thanks for everything you do
This is so cute. Orly, would you consider doing another version where you fold the scarf, but not cut in half, maybe cut out a neck? I'd love to see how you could make that work. thx
I always look forward to your videos on Friday. Even if it’s not something that I would wear (I’m 63 😉) I’m inspired to try variations. Thank you for bringing creativity and joy.
Love it. I often see such pretty scarves...and it would be so much less work than sewing a dress with regular fabric. I'm working on an office appropriate shirt dress with a lining right now ... it's going well and I'm almost done, but I sure wouldn't mind a quicker and easier project afterwards!
I was thinking that too so I thought about not doing the back with the same fold over as the front I think maybe I could do the fold over in the back to a few inches tack it down the arm holes will be the same and the elastic will secure it all. Her version is perfect as a holiday dress but I'm in my early 50's so as a regular dress people would think "Where's miss thing going wearing her daughter's dress" 😂😂😂
@@corizipkin2673 I was just looking at my scarf and it will work fine. So the front I basted it at 5 inches and the coral looks great and on the back I hated the food at 3 inches and take it down at the center so the cowl wasn't as deep hanging and tacked down the arm holes like Orly did and it looks great. Now I'll just finish hand sewing after I try it on and I'm going to leave a little slit in it on 1 side. But it absolutely works. So if you wanted to know if it works it does. After I finish it up I'll show you a pic. I'm just not going to be able to see in the next few days I have the grandbabies. That is my priority. I love having them the weekends. And I need to go buy the elastic. How this helps. 😍
Thank you for your inspiration. I've tried a few of your ideas and I will definitely try this one. Loved ones give me scarves so of course I don't want to give them away... But I just don't wear scarves, they feel bulky and look clownish around my neck. But they're of a gorgeous fabric.. so wallah... Now I know what I can do with them!!
Oh that's sooo pretty - for sunny Cali, that is, lol... But maybe I could wear a simple turtleneck under that, to make it more season-appropriate for where I live (temperature in low forties, rain, frost in the mornings...)
Giiiiiiirrrrrrl! You can do this because your body fits within the width of a scarf. I would have to use a picnic blanket to make something like it. 🤣🤣🤣 I still love it and admire your creativity. Well done!
Orly, you are the best! I love your videos so much! You always come up with cool, original and easy to make ideas. Besides, you are nice and beautiful! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Are always Orly you hit it out of the park. And you have inspired me to get a dress form. How and where do I get one in my size? Girl I get up on Fridays just to see what did Orly make this week! Your creativity is boundless and I could see this as a top too. Maybe you could show us a version as a duster. Love love love you!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
Omg! Gorgeous!!! I can’t wait to dig through my huge tub of scarves, it’s like I’ve been saving up for this one for years! Thank you for what you do! 💜
You never cease to amaze me. As always you gave us something to think about. I don't have scarves like that but I do have more cotton type material. But I do love this idea. Thanks again Orly and a blessed weekend to you my dear. 💕💕💕💕💕👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🍾🍾
OH boy I love it will try this . You make style look so easy. Iam so glad I found you I don't collect many pieces of clothes But you make me want to buy some new things 🙂 thanks again ☺️
What a cool idea! There are so many pretty scarves in beautiful fabrics but maybe not enough reason or opportunity to wear them as a scarf. Great re-purposing project!
Orly! Have missed seeing you EVERYDAY!! So glad to find you here. Hallmark made the biggest mistake … in my opinion… by letting Home and Family go!! It was … and is… my favorite program on ALL channels!
Commin in hot with another genius hack!!🖤 Orly you're amazing. I was thinking about the cricut and making a iron on embellishment to further personalize the scarf too. I alllllmost bought a cricut the other day. Have a great weekend!
Yesterday my local thrift store had scarves for...... 25% off..... and the scarves were a "whopping" $3.00! ($2.25 each?!!!) SCORE!!! 🤣 What a timely idea!!! This is so fun!!!! The black elastic straps are my fave. Just ingenious!! ❤
Hey GORGEOUS!!!! So the reason why you didn't have to clean finish the fold over facing is because the scarf is a knit. Knit fabrics do not fray (unravel). I loved this scarf idea.
I honestly never thought to use a scarf as a dress! This makes me want to go find a scarf and try this but have never sewn anything. This looks fairly easy.
I can’t find the crystal rope purse strap video, did it get pulled. I’m looking for source for the ropes. Thank you. of course I watched 10 videos (over again) while searching. You’re so fun to watch and you give a new meaning to diy.
Orly thanks again for a fabulous DIY! Scarves in my house seem to multiply like bunnies and because I live in California, they don’t get very much use. Until now😊

one in a million has a body like Orly = everything looks good!

Exactly! I would need 6 scarves …
Orly -- wow, LOOKING lovely! That shade of green is *so pretty* on you... The draping in front & back is so elegant. I love that it's a classic style & the black boots -- perfection! Such ingenuity to take a scarf and make a dress out of it. I could see this working with the right silkier scarf, too.
Happy Friday
Orly, this is amazing. So in love with this. I have a shorter scarf, but long enough to make a top to wear up under a suit. I’m so in love with this. Thanks abundantly for this tutorial❤️👍🏽
Great idea and variation on the original to make it into an amazing top rather than a dress. 😀
OMG I have this beautiful orange linen scarf that my husband gave me that I never wear because it's just too much for my little neck and head. This is so perfect for it.
You are the most talented person I have ever see on RUclips. Love all your videos
Best part of the week, your uploads, have a blessed weekend
Speechless 😯.!
The low pony tail with the ribbon
Wooow!
I'm totally impressed with what you can do with a scarf
Lovely! Perfect fall dress. I’m always amazed at your ingenuity. I would love to try this in a variety of fabrics to see how they would drape. Brava!
I totally agree: ingenuity was the word I was looking for - Bravissima! ;D
For me, you re the best designer! Your creates s easy to do, but they become wonderful, pretty after. It encourage me to DIY my clothes, even I don't know how to sew!
Wow that is cool. This dress would look so amazing with flesh colored streps.
Your kindness and generosity shines through in every piece you create, Orly!
You are not only are a creative genius, but a beautiful soul as well! Bless 💫
Every time I hear those drums from your intro I know it’s Friday it’s going to be a great day and I’m about to see something so cool thanks for everything you do
Orly this is one of the cutest DIYs you’ve ever done! I just love it. Thanks for sharing!
The possibilities are endless 🤎
I love what you do and you make it so fun and easy! Just take care of yourself first and remember that this is supposed to be fun
Amazing, the dress looks expensive, way to go girl!
This is so cute. Orly, would you consider doing another version where you fold the scarf, but not cut in half, maybe cut out a neck? I'd love to see how you could make that work. thx

Oh Orly - you have done it again!!! I need to try this ASAP!!

Great idea. Looks so cute on you. My only concern is the back cowl, it stands out and wish it were flat or not as noticeable.
I was thinking that too so I thought about not doing the back with the same fold over as the front I think maybe I could do the fold over in the back to a few inches tack it down the arm holes will be the same and the elastic will secure it all. @@inesgrana3971 I like your idea. I was also thinking maybe could tack down the back so it stays in place, less revealing.
@@corizipkin2673 I was just looking at my scarf and it will work fine. I cannot love this enough!!💕💕💕💕 I canNOT wait to make this!! Thanks Orly!! 🥰
Your a sweetheart....I said the same thing when I was working on a piece for myself....noone know about this imperfection but me.
Thank you for your inspiration. I've tried a few of your ideas and I will definitely try this one. Loved ones give me scarves so of course I don't want to give them away... Commin in hot with another genius hack!!🖤 Orly you're amazing. I was thinking about the cricut and making a iron on embellishment to further personalize the scarf too. I alllllmost bought a cricut the other day. Have a great weekend!
when do you do the overknee boots? would be important 😊😊😍

Very fun idea, as always! Have a nice weekend Orly!!
❤️❤️❤️me too I don't care if my DIY not so perfect as long as I can used & wear it 😆😆
SOOOO COOL. Hope I can find a scarf wide enough!!
Great idea Orli. I am curious if this scarf was originally cut on the bias; hence the fabric being somewhat stretchy?
Toujours aussi créative. J adore. Merci
This also would be cute with a thin turtle neck under
Hey GORGEOUS!!!! So the reason why you didn't have to clean finish the fold over facing is because the scarf is a knit. Knit fabrics do not fray (unravel). I loved this scarf idea.
Simply yet undeniably perfect, as always!
I was looking for something like this! Thank you! Luv you Orly!
Hermoso y fácil gracias por compartir 🙏👍👏💖
Nicely done.
I honestly never thought to use a scarf as a dress! This makes me want to go find a scarf and try this but have never sewn anything. This looks fairly easy.
