Bought this radio due a lot to all the great reviews. Bought it and wasn't disappointed. Great radio for pmr. Seems great on dx from hills. Antenna seems better than other radios on pmr.

@m0ogy Hi Dave, glad you liked the review. I'm planning on doing more of them in future to go with the articles on the website. Keep a look out for the TTi TCB-771 video coming soon :)

The radio looks fine. I'm interested in this type.
    I have some questions:
    - Quality of modulation and "reproduction"? Is sound clear and good readable, comparable with quality ham radio transceivers?
    - When you LOCK up radio, subsequently you switch off and switch on radio, then radio is still LOCKED up?
    - Is easy to push PTT button for comfortable transmission?
    Thank you for answer.

I have got a pair of Challenge Activate PMR GS100 radios that also have the CTCSS codes, not bad really but the rechargable batteries went belly up in no time so now I use Duracell that do a good job.
