In football manager, a video game ofc, the only way to survive the schedule is to have pretty much 2 good options for every position and heavily rotate the squad. Which is easy to do in a game, but extremely unrealistic in the real world. And even then, injuries can often put insane loads on the players and lead to even more injuries. So i can only imagine.

This is hurting football, there are players playing without joy, that is deppressing. We aren't able to see players play at their best, how are you supposed to play 90 games a season with 2-4 more training sessions during the week and only having 2-4 weeks of rest. We won't see another big world beater player if this doesn't change. Lamine Yamal is 17 and he is playing every game for barca, that can't be good for a young player. People raise brows at Chelsea and their huge squad size but I'm sure that somebody at the top knows exactly what they are doing. FIFA and UEFA won't get less greedy, hoping for less games in the year is just wishful thinking. Adapt or die, it's how business works and football is no different. Overworking your workers and crying that they drop left and right is simply stupid. Lower the average wages, employ more players for each position so you can rotate and don't rely on a "top 11" anymore. I am absolutely against lowering wages of workers but I am sure that they can live with a few millions a year less without starving. And if a player still demands a huge wage then let him burn out somewhere else. There are only two options for a winning team of tomorrow: 30+ man Squads that actually can play together interchangeably or FIFA/UEFA making a 360 and suddenly forgetting how much they love money.

Stop simping… talk about the real people that goes to real jobs.
Football is entertainment DONT EVER FORGET THAT. Everybody and anybody can play football but not everybody can be a doctor, pilot, pediatrician, etc etc… we are giving to much attention and importance to these celebrities/footballers.

    For:
1.This hectic schedule tightens competition from smaller decent teams to the bigger teams because the big teams either have injuries or have rotated (in all competitions)
Against: teams now like man city and arsenal play very dull football because it is very efficient for the players and their win rates.

There is NO rule where players MUST play every match. Whether that's in your league, your domestic cup(s),continental cup(s),Nations League,World Cup qualifiers, whatever. That's on the managers. They make millions of dollars. Tell your manager,"hey I'm really tired can I get a week or 2 off?". So I don't want to hear it.

These players earn millions, instead of them yapping about too much games and workload, they should quit football and look for another job of an average man that doesn't drain their bodies. Fans get angry when their best eleven are not being used, same as the players themselves, they complain to managers the moments they're not being used in games, yet they still complain about too much games. Silly lazy entitled players we have nowadays.

This bugs me about this who'll situation. If the players, manager, and club owners all agree that they don't care about specific tournaments. Why don't they just decide to play below sub-par?
Instead of using the time to train and tire the body for that game no one cares for, let the players rest, and play on 10%-15% in the match. If they lose, who cares. The faster you get out of that tourney, the better.
However, if say the club owners do care, than you have a bigger problem than just Fifa.

These players make an extremely excessive amount of money per week I think it's pretty fair for them to be playing that many games tbh. The ones who take their jobs seriously will be fine and the ones who don't are the ones getting injured. Example, CR7 and Neymar, one of them is nearly 40 and still in the best shape of his life never getting injuries either, the other is constantly injured and has barely played any matches at all for his new team, but always seems to be having the time of his life at parties and clubs.... Fifa and Uefa creating more games is NOT the issue.

@@namelessacc12 it is absolutely not the clubs. It is the exact reason the Super League was attempted...the clubs wanted to have control of their own destinies. They specifically spoke about the fact that they were taking all of the risks, signing expensive players, paying massive wages, and then being forced to play a ridiculous amount of matches and risk injuries...and when they do get injured, the clubs are the ones who suffer financially...UEFA benefits hugely from the clubs' investments, but share no risk at all.

Football teams have multiple players that they don’t play.
They only focus on the top 5% of players .
And it’s the top 5% of players that are the ones that play every game and get injured . When they’re meant to rotate their team, the managers only relying on one or two players..
