Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.

Youluvimani exactly . I caught that real quick. I mean. They always lack black girls on the team. It always been that way. I guess they don't want too many black girls outshinning the white girls but this year its only 2 black girls. Personally I would not want to be on a cheerleader team with 98% white .. That would make me feel uncomfortable as heck. Also those girls get paid very little. I just read up on that. I get paid a lot more on my job than those girls
I don’t see why it matters if there are loads of black girls or not, it only matters about the talent each girl has.
LisaFoundJiminsJams Armlink / well if there’s only white people will probably start speculating shit about racism, also African American women can bring so much to the team, make it look more beautiful, fortified, and just down right equal.
Why did they ask them their heritage? Were they forced to take a DNA test?
I don't think this is asked every time. I would imagine that 'a' question is asked of them every year just to see their personality. Another time, it may be 'What did you wanna be when you were little?' I do t ink it's much to be critical of, but JMO
They were clearly pushing an ancestry sponsorship and trying to fit it in somehow

@@16MedicRN Yeah that would make sense just a general whats your background/heritage maybe to promote "diversity" statistically but the only people they showed them asking were two black women that is why I was kind of confused.
@@miranda8400 they don't need sponsorship of any kind, if you're talking the DCC organization. They've got more than enough money. What your ancestry is doesn't matter for them.

Kat is literally SOOOO pretty!!!!!! She has so much personality and she’ll do GREAT!!
Kelli has really grown on me over the years on this show. At first I thought she was heinous, but when you watch her you can just tell how much she loves the team AND all the candidates. The process is her passion and it works.

The Heritage part disgusted me. First why are you asking? Second their faces when she said Trinidad and Tobago was like ehhh but when she said my mom was Italian I took more of that appetite their faces lit up.. then the black girl was overly excited to have 1% Asian ?? Then another girl named every ethnicity that falls under white... I can’t 😒

Atara Israel white isnt an etnicity tho...her heritage is german etc but german, Italian, French etc. do differ if not by the skin color then culturally... she probably isn’t german or whatever tho seeing as she probably isn’t born there or even speaks the language. She is clearly American but has german heritage etc. Just don’t mix up ethnicity and race... they are two different things. White is a race American is ethnicity

There is a reason for the girls to try on the uniform before they make the team. They have to make sure the uniform looks good on the girls in training. I recall a past candidate that was never on the radar to be cut, until she tried on the uniform She was a little on the short side and they both thought the boots rested to high up her legs. They cut her that day. They said her dancing was amazing and she picked up on the choreography really well, but the uniform didn’t fit her the way it should...and you can’t change your height and the way it fits

I am always so Happy for those girls when they try on uniforms. You can tell how happy they are in them cause their smiling so big and their eyes just light so big and bright it is so awesome to see someone’s dreams come true. It truly makes me so happy for them and I don’t even know any of them. Good job DCC, Kelli, and Judy. You are all just do good at what you do. Your all inspirations to do many people.

Wasn't there one point where the girls had bras made special for the blouse that were the same color and fit a certain way for the knot to lay right? Do they not do that anymore?

autumn charles Probably for diversity. My old teacher used to be an administrator for college applications and if they notice a large percentage (let’s use a large percentage of white male Americans as an example), then they may be biased and accept a Hispanic male applicant instead, even if the white male had better attributes. They do this to make their university have a better image by saying they’re “diverse.” It’s very unfair, but that’s just how it is. :(

Why don’t they take their measurements...after they make the team ? Why try something on and get your hopes up to only get cut? It’s like hey, after all the hard work you put in...you are not good enough for the team? Let’s film you crying for great tv? Do better for women and women self esteem. #SupportWomen Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I can’t perform perfect every day under pressure and that doesn’t make them less worthy if they had a bad day. You can’t turn the world off you carry it with you
I think they get presented with the jacket/uniform if they make it through (similar to dance moms)
juilian and my mom is janita snead is great. I think ur overthinking it......: it makes them push through and it gives them a chance to see what will happen if they make it. btw they have to perform literally right after they make it so they need their uniforms as soon as they find out.
It is extremely motivating for the rookies to see themselves in that uniform. And making custom uniforms takes time.

Youluvimani She could be Indian, or she could be black, or she could be mixed with both, the Caribbean is a melting pot, everyone is a mixture of some degree there. But does it matter what her ethnicity is? No.
Arusha Cummings there’s lots of different reasons why some Indians and Asians are in the Caribbean. Not just solely because of the British.
I don’t know why that even came up, unless one of the dna testing companies is now a Cowboys sponsor. They all look like humans to me, not a Klingon in the bunch. Works for me, no offense to Klingons, imagined or real. lol 😂

OMG I have been watching these cheer videos non stop and to find the first girl say her dad is from Trinidad and Tobago I feel like I am living through her and I am 12 and already practicing my jump splits but I can only do it on my good side but I can actually be like her one day😊😆

Alexis Reyes... We didn’t have 4 DIFFERENT uniforms. We had 4 of the same uniform. That’s what I was asking - Do they only get one of that uniform they are trying on.
@@Chloe-rs7nw I don't know the answer to your question, but my guess is that they need fewer because they probably don't take the uniforms home to wash them. I'm guessing the uniforms are washed on site with professional treatment of any stains. Teens who take their uniforms around in a backpack and wash them at home with their gym socks are going to have a lot more wear and tear.
Does anyone have knowledge to the contrary? Do these ladies wash their own uniforms?

I know she makes it but Kat's personality just grates on me, does not come off as poised or elegant, she's always pulling faces and trying so hard to project herself in a certain way. It's exhausting. I wish there would be more camera time on some of the other girls.
