That's right I agree. Deepika it is useful in cases of Asthama as well. Now you'll say mouth and lungs are totally different. But in Ayurveda these problems are increased because of 'Vata' i.e. excess wind in the body.
Gandhusha & Kavala balances the Vata. Internal medicine and external treatment helps in balancing all the disease of the oral cavity. In terms of dry lips as well it does as cracked lips (external) are also because of excess vata so once vata is balanced problems are solved from it's root cause.
