I've come to appreciate Bastila more after playing SWToR, and encoutering Jaesa Willsaam, specifically on the DS route. Before her fall she was a bit annoying, but afterwards Bastila was such an incredibly superior apprentice compared to Jaesa. Dark and cruel, yet self-possessed and clinically sharp, manipulating the battle and its participants and planning your joint moves for both of you. Dark Side doesn't mean letting yourself go.
