My most memorable experience ordering in McDonald's in a foreign language happened in Paris. My father and I walked in just as rush hour was beginning. In anticipation of that, they had made a whole bunch of milkshakes and had them sitting on the counter behind the cashiers. My father wanted to order a milkshake, but he said he didn't want one that had been sitting there--he wanted a fresh one. I told the cashier that, and she kept pretending that she heard me say "fraise" instead of "fraiche." She kept telling me that they didn't have strawberry milkshakes. I was like, come on, you understood me the first time. I argued with her for a while. Finally, I prevailed, and she went to make a fresh milkshake. Unfortunately for her, she hadn't been trained on how to make a milkshake, and she got it all over her uniform.
I wasn't there but it wouldn't surprise me if she really didn't understand you wanted a "Fresh" one, its a really rare thing to ask for in French macds, hence why she messed it up as they probably don't even consider it to be an option. Customer culture in France is really different from the US, people just tend to order their food and maybe ask for an extra sauce or napkin but barely ever ask for anything particular or an item to be prepared in a specific way. Its maybe more common in high end restaurants but certainly not in fast foods.
Science corner: the muscles required to correctly display reverse testicular fricatives can *only* be developed between the formative ages of 1 and 67. After 67, generally speaking, the brain no longer has the neurogenic plasticular felatiotomy required to accurately repeat the movement. This explains the old AASL adage: “Learn to communicate before you’re 68 or else you can’t sit with us”.

Any tips? Something I am doing wrong, something I should do? Is it too much languages(probably) Is it too little variety of languages(I hope)?
I am learning 365 languages. I learn a different one every day of the year. On a leap year I learn a 366th so none of the others get jealous. I cannot wait to have my 366 failed A1 exam results chiseled onto my gravestone. Good luck my friend.
You should learn Russian completely and then ho to Ukrainian. It will be much easier

congrats on 500 million subscribers

As an Egyptian 🇪🇬, Egypt's 🇪🇬 Arabic is also beautiful, its not either too beautiful nor too Ugly . Our Accent is just modern . We don't speak Egyptian Arabic we just speak modern Arabic. And also greetings from Egy 🇪🇬
nah my guy, we don't speak modern Arabic at all, if we do so, ppl who learn standard Arabic can understand us, but they mostly can't, and i don't get the point of saying "Arabic is not either too beautiful nor too ugly" Arabic is absolutely beautiful if you get deep into learning it, its eloquence is just on another level
@@Z7youtube well i think every arabic is beautiful. But to me our accent is more understandable and more Modern
The Egyptian Arabic doesn't feel wrong for a new person but for the Arabic natives themselves, imo , the easiest Arabic to understand is the Latakian Arabic (Syria) it's just there's no made up word all of the words are recognisable
@@ajdndbdjbdj pretty sure all Arabic dialects have made up words, the most perfect one is the traditional Arabic seen in the Quran, not that others are bad of course
@@imqr yeah i know that , all Arabs know that , the original Arabic is tye best one , but how many people still using it ? Not alot of people , that's why i said the Latakian one is the best beside the original , i know it has made up words but it's the least one to have them
Tare zameen par (stars on the ground), dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge (the hearty wins the bride), bajrangi-bhaijan [bajrangi-bhaijan is a name, abd bhaijan is an (aproximate) honorific].
