- This video I'm kitbashing the remaining 4 Space Marines for my Intercessor Kill Team of Scavengers!

These guys are technically Renegades that were marked as heretics by the Inquisition, for the sins of the first born chapter they were sent to reinforce. Bit more on that in the original video - • Kill Team of Space Mar...

The song at the end: The lyrics were written by me, and the sounds were from an Abominable Intelligence, with additional samples from Epidemic Sound (royalty-free music). I was experimenting with it one weekend and thought it would add an interesting touch. I couldn't really find anything on epidemic sound that matched the feeling I wanted to convey with the story at the end.
#warhammer40k #kitbash #miniaturepainting #warhammerpainting #warhammer - Хобби
As with the previous dudes, I did give them individual names but forgot to mention it in the video 😄
Leader ( Grand Strategist ) - Tactious
Grenadier - Noxious
Gunner - Boom
Intercessor - Ace
The grenadiers head is a trimmed down plague marine head.
@@blizzardgaming7070 😲
@@AnotherDayMiniaturesgot them mixed up, the first guy was the trimmed down one
@@blizzardgaming7070 Don't worry, knew what you meant, still shocked it's a Nurgle head... It was so clean...
@@AnotherDayMiniatures Hey brother which pin drill do you use? All the bits I have tried aren’t sharp enough to drill through paper below 1/16”
I think it would be cool to see your next Space Marine scavengers have some bonding studs since (if I remember correctly), their essentially highly advance rivets, which I think would have give your killteam even more of a ramshackle look
Was thinking the same thing! I looked online, but the prices for the specific size are astronomical compared to what it should cost. I'll be visiting a hobby store soon and hope to pick some up there at a more reasonable price. I wonder if in the lore the armor's mag lock holds them in place, or are they somehow glued onto it. 🤔
@@AnotherDayMiniatures You should give Pete The Wargamer's video on making studded armor, hope that helps.
Also have you seen my recent comment on your Chaos Terminator video? Just curious
@@ChaseDaOrk3767 I'll try and check it out!
I did find the comment. I'll have to think about it, and get back to you on that. Do you have pre existing nurgle bits, or are you going for a more scratch build for them ?
@@AnotherDayMiniatures So far, I don't have any actual Nurgle bits with me atm, hopefully I'll get some sooner or later if I get the chance
@@ChaseDaOrk3767I think if you get some green stuff and do some light damage to the armor to create 'openings,' then fill those with a tiny amount of green stuff to look like flesh or ooze leaking out, and give them a rusty/crusty paint job, they could look fantastic as Nurgle Terminators. Only part i'm not sure about is if the 5th terminator requires a 2h melee weapon, making that could be a bit more difficulty.
If you make a "sniper" for the killteam he should snag a Tau Sniper Rifle or a Trashed Tau Sniper Drone hes repurposed into a Rifle. Could "counts as" a INCURSOR MARKSMAN. (update: I realized that a sniper cannot be in the "Intercessor Kill Team" so would only work if you add incursors or scout kill teams to your roster)
A scout kill team would be awesome, just need to wait for them to get in stock locally. The votann sniper rifle also has a a very similar vibe to the tau one, they look really cool.
Scavenger chapters are always a bit extra fun, or setting a "normal" loyalist or heretic chapter in a situation where they have to scavenge items. It really adds a lot to the miniatures and makes it more fun to paint the same thing again and again.
That song in the end really reminded me of some of the slower songs from the band Týr from the Faroe Islands.
It really does. I think I've painted over 100 Intercessors now, but every time I add new elements to them, it feels fresh and exciting again.
I'll have to check them out, cheers!
My heretic force scavange just cause
@@Fan_of_the_hobby "Scavenging is just a bonus perk" - Heretics 😄
@@AnotherDayMiniatures yes, and, trophies
Thank you for the video!
With such chapters, you can endlessly cut off the aquilas/symbols of Chaos where they are, and glue them where they were not before.
Cheers! Yeah the sanding of every iconography would be brutal 😄
I kinda just stumbled on this video while waking up this morning, but holy hell, I’m in love with your painting style!
Thank you! My painting approach can be a bit casually chaotic 😄, glad you liked it!
this is awesome my friend. glad you did More Scavengers.
Thanks mate!
I think a good idea would have been to paint their scavanged armor parts (shoulders and helmets) different colors to show where they are from. Otherwise awesome kitbash and awesome idea
I thought about something similar but was worried they would end up looking quite messy. I definitely want to revisit the idea, maybe with a more battle-damaged, scratched-up look for the armor and different panel colors.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures If you revisit and hard commit to the damaged scavenged look I think it would look good. If Ork's can make it work so can space marines!
I'm sure a few test color schemes can eventually work their way in :)
Very cool. I love the leader
Thanks!
What a cool bunch of minis. Gonna draw some inspiration from these guys for sure. Thanks for sharing and God bless you and your little menz.
Thanks! Always great knowing it inspired more minis being painted.
They look awesome. Great colour scheme too!
Thank you so much mate!
Enjoyed the kitbash - keep going!
Thank you!
man, the song at the end is spectacular, what is the name?

@@AnotherDayMiniatures my man, it's an awesome piece, you need to be proud of this
Cheers :)
These look fantasic dude, one of the best marines ive seen fullstop
Wow, thank you!
You know, first I was thinking „that is a terrible idea. That will look horrible!“
After watching the Video I HAVE to do that too! Thanks for the inspiration! I even have a lot of Kits here to start as soon as tomorrow! 👍
Glad I managed to win you over by the end :D Cheers mate, good luck with yours!
@@AnotherDayMiniatures Thank you very much :D
Hobby tip: Cram bits of sprue into the empty armholes. Then use sprue goo.
That would have worked perfectly! Need to remember that for next time, those arm holes are always a pain. Cheers.
This channel is full of renegade goodness
Cheers!
I just got done listening to the night lords series and in that they shatter the Aquila on any chest plate they scavenge and I just think that would look so cool on these minis
Well, one of the aquilas does have a bullet hole in it :D
I think your drywall tape was too big and not moldable, I would try wire screen door material, its smaller and being metal should be mold-able.
Yeah, at the time it felt like a good idea. Yet the moment I put it beside the pauldron, I knew the size was way off.😄 I'll have check out the screen door stuff, cheers!
Man, why you gotta get me emotional with that music and the fade out at the end?
😁 "Truest victory, is stirring the hearts." I knew it wasn't going to be for everyone, but a few would enjoy it. It's a pleasure knowing it was appreciated.
Dam this is awesome it would be awesome to see an entire army of this scavenger space marines but it might be difficult but hey its a good idea
Cheers! Yeah an army is a bit of a big project for me at the moment, but in the future I might revisit the scavengers with the infiltrator kill team.
This fits my homebrew so perfectly!
That's awesome ! @GrngoMandngogaming

song name in the end?

Like the OSL effect on the auspex and plasma coil. ;) By the way, whats that epic song at the end... I think I heard it somewhere before but don´t know the name or artist.
Cheers mate, glad the OSL was decent enough in the end. The lyrics were written by me, and the sounds were from an Abominable Intelligence, with additional samples from Epidemic Sound (royalty-free music). I was experimenting with it one weekend and thought it would add an interesting touch. I couldn't really find anything that matched the feeling I wanted to convey with the story at the end.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures Ah cool. Than I maybe had a dejavue. I could swear I heard it somewhere before, hehe. ;) Anyway, fits perfectly.
@@LonewolfTalesI wouldn't be surprised if there was something similar in a movie; a lot of that type of music has a very similar structure. Glad to hear it! I was honestly not sure if the ending was going to be a hit or miss, but it was something I wanted to go for. Relieved to know someone enjoyed it!
@@AnotherDayMiniatures yeah seriously, make a whole track out of it. Sounds just epic and fits so damn well into the 40k space marines lore.
@@LonewolfTales 😄 Honestly releasing something like this on it's own is a bit more difficult than I thought at first, due to the nature of it. I tried to make the lyrics inspired by them , but also be vague enough to not be directly tied down to 40k.
You can fill that hole with a bit of sprue and then sprue-gooing over it.
Ended up doing exactly that in the video from last week and it worked way better than expected. Should have started it sooner.
Great vid, and kitbash, just found it hard to see what you were doing with the lighting. Looks nice but actually your lighting on your Fusing Broken Miniatures into a Horrific Objective is way better
Cheers mate! Appreciate the lighting comment, always trying new things and never know if it works or not. Was it specifically the general lighting, the additional colored lighting, or the dark background that made it harder to see. Thanks.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures For me it was around the 8 min mark that was the hardest. The model gets lost because of the black primer against such a dark background, but I also found the coloured rim lighting a bit distracting. Once you get more paint on the model it becomes easier (like at the 10 mins mark) but it still seems a little lost in the solid background. That said I'm old, so maybe its just my dodgy eyes 😂
Yeah, around the 8 min mark, it’s honestly far too dark. I like the 'cinematic' look of it, but it's too impractical. I think you're right about the color scheme, it’s too dark and gets lost in the dark background. I'll look into using a more grey colored background in the future. Thanks again for the feedback!
I really liked the cratering, if you have any of the kits where the knee pad and shin guard is a separate piece you could crater one of those and then cut off the thigh and replace it with something mechanicus or necron in origin or just a bunch of styrine rods for some obvious cybernetics. Also maybe do a wide but very shallow crater damaging a good 35-40% of one of the aquilla imperialises, say just barely damaging the skull and shredding most of one wing but just having a couple of the longer feathers left.
That's a great idea! Yeah the shoulder it turned out surprisingly interesting with that. I need to practice my sculpting a bit more, but the rod idea could be really doable.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures Ive seen a few people do really well by getting sizes of hollow rods with an internal diameter that is the same as the external of some other rods or tubes for some super easy pistons, then maybe a bit of guitar wire and just cluster a bunch of stuff like that together and BOOM T500
I NEED that plasma recipe! I love the emerald hue to it!
It's Vallejo Emerald Green, and I just mixed in Ice Yellow instead of white to increase the brightness.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures thank you so much!
They look amazing! Love the paint style and colour gradient you’ve gone for. What kit does the helmet for the guy at 6:53 come from!
Thank you! The helmet, along with the vox on the backpack, comes from the same Horus Heresy Mark VI Tactical Space Marines kit. It's the smaller upgrade sprue in the box.
Which metallic colours did you use for the gold? This looks so warm and bright yet not too shiny. Very nice!
The first color is AK Burnt Tin with the highlight being Vallejo Bright Bronze. I don't use the bright bronze often, as it has a very glitter like appearance, but it mixed surprisingly well with the Brunt Tin. Cheers!
Thanks so much!
Your next kill team has to be a Nid team in that scheme
The toxic green of the blade ?
There should be more non-chaos renegades.
What is the bronze colour you use for your trim? The kill team looks amazing!
The first color is AK Burnt Tin and the second is Vallejo Bright Bronze. Thanks!
You should do some marines malevolent sometime, theyre also big on scavenging
I have been thinking about giving yellow another go, I'll try to keep them in mind for the future. No promises though.
Well if it were a traditional recoilless rifle he'd have a loader taking the rockets from his back and loading for him. If he wants to load for himself someone else should be carrying the ammo on their back.
Yeah, the idea of having a loader seems awesome. I need to try and find one of those techmarine arms for it.
What's the song used at the end? I can't find it with shazam.
The lyrics were written by me, and the sounds were from an Abominable Intelligence, with additional samples from Epidemic Sound (royalty-free music). I was experimenting with it one weekend and thought it would add an interesting touch. I couldn't really find anything on epidemic sound that matched the feeling I wanted to convey with the story at the end. ( copied response to a similar question, hope you don't mind. )
Does anyone know what that helm is on the grenadier?
That one is from the Death Guard Plague Marines kit.
What song is that in the end? It's beautiful
Unfortunately, it's not really a song. I couldn't find anything that fit the feeling I wanted to give the ending, so I wrote some lyrics and then had an Abominable Intelligence produce the sounds. Afterwards, I added some additional samples from a music library. I'm really glad it's been received so well, It almost got cut from the final edit.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures In that case, well done. I really wanted to listen to it when I painted.

Wouldn't loyalist astartes remove the heretical symbols?
kind of depends on how desperate they are
In a perfect world, yeah, and they would be required to do so as well. These guys, on the other hand are more in the realm of renegades, as they were marked as heretics by the Inquisition.
отлично нарисовано и скитбашено

What is the song soundtrack?
It's not a real song, just some lyrics I wrote. The sounds are a combination of Abominable Intellect hallucinations and samples from a royalty free music library.
Medical gauze instead of the dry well
Hmm that could work really well, I'll give it a shoot some time. Cheers.

There’s different types also, faucet metal mesh if the helps.. take it easy
Hhh, these would look great as Ashen Claws.
I need to paint them up sometime, their color scheme is awesome.
Waiting till someone identifies the first head…
Someone mentioned it's a Plague Guard head, was surprising given how clean it's design was. It didn't have the spike on top that the head in the kit does, so it might be some earlier version.
Death Guard Plague Marine helmet.
Sooo... Marines Malevolent since everyone hates them?
I would say they are more like Lamenters. They were dealt an unlucky hand from the start, and are working with what they got.

The bandolier on the grenadier ? That's meant to represent the granade belt that's on the original assault intercessor model. Didn't realize that I forgot to mention that, just that it looked similar.

Unfortunately, yes😄 Couldn't find anything on epidemicsound that matched the vibe for the ending.
