I don’t think you remember me but in your first city tour I commented. I have a city like this but much smaller. And of course it’s a lot bigger now anyways I just wanna say thank you for everything you inspired me to get a Lego city that’s way I commented that. I watched that Lego city tour at least 50 times just to improve my Lego city and now that I’m taking my Lego city down the first thing I thought was you so I just wanna say thank you for creating the best years of my life making legos and building my city by the way your city is still better than mine 😂
You're very welcome. Thank so much for taking the time to let me know!
It is bitter sweet for sure my friend. I would like to take a moment to thank you for all of the excellent content over the years. On a personal note, you were one of my saviors during the pandemic. Your sense of humor and outstanding LEGO skills were always a bright spot during a very dim point in our history. We are all looking forward to seeing where you go with the new project. Thank you again for everything you do and your never ending cheerful attitude.
Bravo John, you covered everything I wanted to say, with charm, eloquence and Witt. Robin was a dash of sanity in a world gone mad. A touch of class can improve any situation. Thank you Robin. ❤️👍🏫🇨🇦
My absolute pleasure. Robin is a blessing.
Long may Brick Nottingham continue! All hail Robin Hood Bricks!
What a fantastic and fabulous final two-parter tour and how great to see the Fairground complete-ish!
Lovely to look back on all of your great builds and what brilliant timing to move into the bigger space for the next version.
The fairground looked fantastic with everything working, the farm looked fabulous, the trains tremendous, the monorail marvellous, the old town awesome, the beach brilliant, and all the rest of it just utterly amazing!
Congratulations on such an achievement and take your time to take lots of photos before it all goes - might you even be able to make / sell one of those photo books? We’d buy it!
Suffice to say thanks from the entire Field family for such enjoyment - so much appreciated.
Your new subway station could include a second train (that goes on a simple loop under the tables), that acts like a central station maybe😊
Agreed, that would be a brilliant add on!
A fantastic city with many great moments captured. After many years of building it up, it will be sad to see it go, but a whole new canvas awaits for Brick Nottingham 2.0. Bigger better and with more brilliant scenes to be witnessed. Looking forward to the future. Plus it will be good to finally see just how long that cargo train is!
Hi Robin! Great tour, I can’t wait to see what you do next with the new Lego room! After rewatching the video about the track layout, I had an idea: how about adding a “fake” line going underwater like the Channel Tunnel? It could start in the water, so you’d just see the tracks disappear into a tunnel emerging from the water’s surface. Additionally, you could add a siding for the outer loop, allowing the cargo train to go to the harbor and be loaded by the cranes.
Yay part 2! City is awesome and will be even more awesome in 2.0!👍
I like seeing the fairground all at once. 😮 So many cool things in 1.0 and I am sure they will be in 2.0.
Let Brick Nottingham 2.0 begin! 🎉Are you sure you can’t just keep both rooms and have more in new room.🤣
JJ F
I really don't know how many years I have watched your channel. It's with a deep bitter sweet feeling I look at all these buildings I have watched you build and placee. Sadness to think this version is going, but joy at the bigger newer venue. I do hope you paint huge lego clouds on the new blue wall. As always love your channel. Keep going.
Let's gooo Robin! Can't wait to see the new layout!
I'd love to see you rampage through your city! 😂😁
The fairground is how I found you. I was searching for ways to motorize future winter village rides, and there you were. I was hooked after that. Went back to the beginning of your channel and loved it all! Thanks, Robin, for putting together great videos that bring a lot of fun and imagination into other people’s lives!
First video I watched was the tmnt underground one and I have loved the channel ever since from the train station to the gbc factory it’s been amazing and thank you so much for the amazing content robin!
Ah, the nostalgia is thick 😢. A bitter sweet move to be sure. Oh well, out with the old, in with the new.
What a ride. I can't wait to see more. You could show part of the destruction of the city and the progress you make on destroying it.
looking forward to seeing the updated city! a full comic-con would be amazing!
Ooooh a third Subway station... the haunted one is definatly a masterpiece!
Thanks for the ride thus far Robin, really looking forward to BN 2.0!
Yeah, I guess it needs a different theme as well as different colours. Hmmm!
What a lovely anthology! Thank you for bringing us along and sharing on this wonderful adventure. So many special mentions and beautiful builds - my favourites in no particular order: super market, fast food corner, modular (mall) Mondays, fairground Fridays, to the GBC and so many more. Your MOCs are inspirational and I “blame” you for my own sticker problem… (those new friends mall stickers would make a great way system…)
Bricknottingham is a testament to play - taking Lego themes we all love : amending, reinventing and making such wonderful cohesive stories!!
I can’t wait for Bricknottingham 2.0! And thank you for letting us share in this new adventure. We eagerly look forward to the builds to come! See you soon (on Robin’s timeline of course - no rush, we are Afols after all - we will all be here!)
While it’s bittersweet, that’s the beauty of it all! Can’t wait to see phase two. Thank you for all that you do!
So many great scenes and builds, sad to move on, but also excited! You are a wonderful builder, and I really appreciate your style.
Do I have a favorite build? Nope! They all are!
that GBC factory is one of the coolest and most creative buildings i have ever seen in any city.
Thank you so much. That's lovely to hear. I thought it was really good but it didn't grab the LEGO Ideas audience. I guess you had to read the text to understand the concept and production joke!
haunted subway is amazing - havn't seen that before
The memories watching this… hooked me with your subway station, I remember when that room was only the first hole. Sad to think this is coming down but excited to see what you do next. Kind of forgot how much I loved the mall!
The mall is rather awesome, haha. Yes, we've come a long way!
Can’t wait for the journey ahead! Can’t wait to see some bigger and Better things (hopefully a stadium of some sort 🤫)
Thanks for the final look round, Robin. You have built an awesome city and community of viewers, but it will be even better in the new LEGO room. Exciting times!!
Yes, the end of a fun chapter!
Robin I forgot if you have the Lego loop coaster, if not I’m sure it will be a brilliant add on to your theme park! I’ve started collecting 9V trains such as 4560 and 4559, I’ve done a few mods to 4559 but not 4560 cause I just ordered it 😂. If anyone has ideas to modify those 2 sets, please let me know!❤ I also think you should build a second caboose for the second cargo train in the new city!
Hip, hip, hooray! For Old Bricknottingham and all the fun we had there, I say, hurrah! Well done Robin. It was wonderful to have a final tour and see how much you’ve accomplished. I look forward to New Bricknottinghamshireburg, or whatever it ends up being called, as a new favorite RUclips destination. I am eagerly awaiting plans, and hints, and sneak peeks of what you have got planned for us all in the new location.
Can't wait for the new room and all it's glory
Maybe a short spur line could be put near the new train shed that the propeller train is parked in or use the side rail it has the hand cart on for a showcase/build area for new train cars if it is within reach of a standing area. Maybe some of the construction vehicles could be put at one of the wall spurs to give them a visual reason to not be in use. Maybe with a derailed train car from a damaged rail? One could be disrupted from something underground like you did with the driller near the news tower.
The haunted subway is one of my favorite scenes. Maybe we could extend the haunting up into a building facade above it if it wont obscure too much. Not sure how to get the haunted house kind of vibe into another style of building. Maybe an abandoned blockbuster video store or old factory. Or maybe tied into the castle dungeon or something similar?
The proctologist must have gone to a medical school from the Lego Classic line. ;p
Could the lego story book set things be used for facade roofs? They look like big shells from the pictures. Maybe it could be used for a bookstore roof or a smaller brick built book could make a good 3d sign. I don't remember if we had a book store or library.
On the fairground, maybe there are some interactions with figures we can do so they tie in better like having a tire being changed or an engine overheating. Maybe an awning on the side of one and a scene underneath like people having lunch. For the canoe, maybe have someone fishing from it and pranking people with a dollar on the line for people to try and pickup and chase.
Thank you everyone, these videos are a real highlight to look forward to.
You need to make the Indiana Jones Circus Snake Wagon.
Or perhaps that whole roof scene, if possible, with that Rhino.
I can only imagine how you are feeling. I remember when I had to lose my little 10ft town, I was gutted and it got emotional.
Luckily you will be able to rebuild. Very exciting.
Amazing, such incredible attention to detail and brilliant back stories!! Loving that fairground 🤩 I can't wait to see the even bigger better brick Nottingham!
Glad you enjoyed it. The fairground is kinda like spinning plates with things needing a prod to keep going and so on but it is fun (and wire free)!
The sushi restaurant build in our city across from your mall might look nice next to ninjago city if you are still have the set in storage for the new city
Great job and good luck with moving all them sets
I’m intrigued to know which parts of the city you are going to salvage and which parts you are going to break up
Thanks, Robin. It IS appreciated 👍
Goodbye, old Brick Nottingham and hello to Brick Nottingham 2.0! Watching these videos has been greatly inspiring and entertaining, and since the first video i saw i’ve never stopped watching! I can’t wait to see what gets built in the new city, which no doubt will be even more Packed & Stacked.
I don’t know if this is the kind of the thing that you’d make but here is a fun little idea for something to put in Far Corner Farm’s wheat field: The shed from the end of Portal 2 with Chell and her Companion Cube (from the lego dimensions set) standing outside!
Awww thanks very much. Great to hear. I'm not a gamer I'm afraid so your Portal idea is a little lost on me, sorry!
Rest in piece bricknotium and welcome bricknotium 2
Danke!
Awesome videos! Your city is great, and I hope it will better! I canť wait to the next update!
Much appreciated!
You have the funniest Lego city on RUclips
I’m excited to see you expand and create something beautiful
Good day Robin. 😊 Last vid .of the city ..more look around the city. Great. 😊👍👍
The only constant thing in life is change. but it’s all for the better. we’re all here along for the fun ride 😊
Cheers. When do you hear about your Bricklink submission? I'd buy it!
@@RobinHoodBricks announcement will be Aug 14 but I’m lowering my expectations because it’s a modular 😅
The barbecued skeleton gave me an idea for a MOC. Put a skull onto a mechanic minifigure, stick a lightning bolt into the top, then hang his hat on the pointy end like electricity blew it off. And maybe have another bolt in one of the hands. 🙂
Dr. Inferno finally finished his mech and is on a rampage!
27:29
I’m heavily questioning the structural integrity of this building! It could collapse at any moment! Oh no!
Bitter sweet. Can't wait for new build gonna be epic....
Its enough to make a grown man cry 😭
Although we are losing the original, the OG Brick Nottingham, we are going to gain an even better, even bigger and _hopefully_ even MORE AWESOME Brick Nottingham.
Its going to be sad seeing all the fun scenes in the current layout being ripped apart, but I have no doubt they'll reappear in the new *BIGGER* again, possibly in an even better way. I'm excited to see what Robin does with a bigger layout, as I always wondered what Robin would do with a layout, say the size of Bricksies new layout.
To cut a long story short, although we are losing a soldier, we are going to be gaining a general (I have no idea if that metaphor worked, basically we are losing something much loved, but there will be something even better in its place!!)
*LONG LIVE ROBIN HOOD BRICKS AND BRICK NOTTINGHAM!!*
Bless you. Yes, I'm a little nervous too but I think it'll be well worth it. The room is much nicer and I have loads of ideas. Too big might be less good in a way, if you lost the need for density and tough choices!
Yay the bus with us all on the. Top. Yes 😊😊😊😊 👍👍
Awesome last video. And that in fact was only the highlights of it, so much stuff you even have not touched.
The idea that was the last time, even hurts a bit.
You're right. It felt like I was racing through in a way. So much work but still over an hour just to summarise it all. We'll see most of this again, don't worry!
Giang Ball Factory - Top stuff
gonna miss it but bigger better things are to come
A bitter sweet moment for definite but it's been a fantastic few years since i first started watching in the pandemic, but on to bigger and better things, I'm excited! I wonder if in the new city there could be a nod to the sad little town of Brick Stafford where I'm from? Brick Nottingham is better in every way haha
Dismantling the city is bitter sweet, but makes me reflect and as a kid in the 70s playing with Lego, nothing stayed intact for very long. Lego were more a toy than a display piece. What ever we needed for our action figures or Hot Wheels was built and then torn down for the next story. We supplemented our toys with Lego mocs. As adults we like to keep our builds up for displays. All that said, I love your humor and creativity and look forward to Brick Nottingham 2.0.
Loved watching your journey and looking forward to the next. I now find myself at nearly 40 in a place to start my own.i have 100cmx180cm of space (28 baseplates) loads of sets but not sure where is beys to start with a city
The King is dead. LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!!!
Moving day 🎉. 1.0 will be missed but 2.0 here we come. During the tour thought of a connection addition maybe a platform for another stork outside the hospital Ward to tie the two together😊
Frog LOL
I saw a ballast repair machine the other day and thought you would be able to make an amazing one! Plus cool for the new tracks. Sad to see the city for the last time but can’t wait to see what’s next
Your new airport could have the airport logo built into the floor with tiles. I imagine it's a fairly easy logo to build.
So sad to see the end of Brick Nottingham 2.0, but very excited for 3.0
The new city is 2.0, haha!
@@RobinHoodBricks I thought you had moved into the current Lego room from a previous set up?
Must be confused somewhere. Regardless, the new journey will be awesome.
Sumo takes place in a 'Dojo' pronounced 'Doy-yoh'.
Goodbye to BN1. I am looking forward to the breakdown and rebuild process though and seeing how your creativity fills the new space with the old and new stuff.
So... if you've finished Brick Nottingham... does that mean the new room will be Brick Darby...??!! 😂
Blasphemy. Never!
A little sad to see this version of Brick Nottingham come to an end. However, as you said it isn’t actually the end but rather the end of the beginning with lots of gtreat things to come. I for one look forward to joining you on your city building journey.
Fantastic video chap
This is why the internet was invented. So we could all live vicariously in your deightful city.
wondering did anyone else notice that at 30 minutes in robins voice changed ? Also Robin I have watched this channel since the beginning and can't believe how much the city has come along and now I can't weight to watch the new city develop
Filmed over two days. That room gets very hot in summer. I probably had a bounce in energy too, haha!
Very nice overview of the now old city. I love how intricate and involved you make each of your scenes. Packed and Stacked as you call it. I wonder how you will go with 2.0. Are you planning on keeping most of this or designing a whole new thing?
Goodbye old city... in fact i want to do the same trams but tram instead of monorail.
its always farmers that get taken - a chnace for another probing scene. . . .
are you also making some facade mountains so it look bigger place? (with lego bricks no painting style)
fairground rides are making me feel ill. . . .
If Happines was a video:
Awwww, lovely!
Dear Robin Hood Bricks.
Is it possible to put the freight train on 1 track again. 🚂
So that we can see if the front already catches up with the back.
It does not have to drive if that is too much work. 🚂
But just a short movie to see how ridiculously long it is now. 😂 before we go to 2.0
kind regards Jeroen
whats your opion on the lego fairground mixer its my favourite set
I ran across a knockoff brick company currently selling a set that is ABSOLUTELY a direct copy of your design.
(hint: One of the stickers literally has "DODGEMS" printed in it).
Not including a link here (free advert for the ppl stealing your designs?)
I can PM you one on request.
Haha, it had to happen at some point. Yes email me please. Thanks. Don't just reply to this comment as I won't see it easily!
Are you not planning on including a teardown vid?
Rip old lego city 💀
Spot the sloth. on the carousel ride ?
Well what’s that old saying finish on a song
We’ll meet again
Don’t know where
Don’t know when
But I know that we’ll meet again on a Sunday days
Also idea for a train car troublesome truck from Thomas
I'll have to Google that. I was never a Thomas viewer!
@@RobinHoodBricks genuinely surprised by that
Great to see the ass-man in your city.
From Seinfeld, yes!
This tour was big... Okay, it is. This tour was huge.... Stretching it, but I'll allow it. This tour was Massive.... Now you are just going for clickbait. I think the SSP (WOOO! WOOO! WOOO!) are going to be after you for violating the trade's description act. You might have to build them a "Massive" Megalopolis base in the new city. 🤣
so you know the part of the new lego room that's under the stairs, you could make a cliff face that goes up to the height of the lowered down ceiling and inside it could be caves and ruins and a cave that is partly flooded with a boat going through it
I think that area's gonna be my whole new harbour. It's a metre deep so closing it off would make it very hard to reach, fill and even view. There will be plenty of underground caves in the cross section!
