- In loving and fond memories of John Shimwell - who loved his vintage tractors! 🚜 a lovely day to honour his memory and we raised 300 for The Salvation Army ( this was a charity dad donated to during his life )
It was great to see and hear so many lovely old tractors - thank you for those to came and i know Dad would have been in his elemet if he was here to see and experience it.
! A lovely day 💚 thanks to Andrew Lomas for being in charge of the route - a 25 mile road road!
Nick and I didn’t take a tractor this year - we were busy running the day / - setting up, catering for the event so in charge of the tea, coffee and cake and then hot roast beef sandwiches at the end , as well as more tea and cake❤️😀
Thanks to friends Hannah , Heather and Will who helped support us running the day ❤️
What a fantastic collection of vintage tractors
My introduction to tractors were MF135 and MF165, and later Ford and David Brown in the 1970s

What a wonderful video! It must have been a very emotional day for you, Jo. Fantastic to see all those beautiful tractors and land rovers, we have some tractor runs in the teesdale area, and i always feel quite emotional seeing the beautiful old work horses out on the roads I did smile when i saw the one with the chair in the back 😊. It's great to see some union jacks too. Your Dad must have been a very well-respected man, Jo a wonderful way to remember him. Well done for the money raised.💜
So lovely...Peace and love.

Wish I was there even to view. Have driven most of those marques back in the day a fantastic turn out for your Dads memory and though hard work a boost to your weather woe’s etc. Loving the patriotic flags too. Xx your Dad is looking down.
He would have loved it.
A great turn out of tractors you are a good farm girl good now you keep going in all weather's nothing seems to get in your you had a good teacher ❤😢
Great turn out in memory of your dad. I bet he is looking down and smiling 🙂
John was a very likable and successful fellow. Remembering him in this way is a fitting tribute. Would it be possible to add the names of other farmers like him to the procession next year who have also passed, so as to give recognition to them, too? It would bring the community together in so many positive ways. May God bless you all.
I’ve never seen anything like this before, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it! I loved everything about this video. The tractors, the countryside, the people, the town, the tractor rooting a cute tune, friends saying hello to one another. My soul longs to live there. Maybe my ancestors lived this life in this country long ago. 🥰
i love how you do this for your dad and do a charity too hugssssss
Your Dad would have loved this day, he sure had an affinity for the antiques. Good turnout. Looks like those tractors could go directly to the fields to work.
Good turn out again Jo, shows how well your dad was respected as you are also within your community. You were left to your own devices but have come through with flying colours and will only grow in the future.
Thank you Joanna and I was teared up watching this video. What a lovely testimonial to your dad and farmers of the UK and the world. Loved it. What a wonderful day it was. Thank you, take care and peace.

So good to see the tractor brands from yesteryear (David Brown, Fordson etc) still going strong. A wonderful tribute to your dad Joanna. It reflects the respect and esteem that the local community had for him. Exercise footage.

What a beautiful remembrance of your dad, and such a tribute to who he was, and still lives in your heart. It’s also such a nice solidarity to all the farmers who put meat and vegetables on our table, and the strength, and endurance it takes to be in that line of work ❤️🙏🏼
