Thanks for sharing, looked like a fantastic experience. Nice videoing, enjoyed. We take part in regattas in our part of the world, it's a great atmosphere, particularly the discussion in the bar afterwards.
Hello Marijke, Hello Mark Having discovered your youtube channel a few weeks ago, I literally devoured all your videos. It is with great pleasure that I discovered or rediscovered the sites that you made us visit throughout your travels. The images are very beautiful, always well filmed, very beautiful sequence shots, beautiful accompanying music and few words. Pure pleasure. A small criticism, but very small, there is no French subtitle. But hey, we manage. Continue to make us dream. Have a nice trip. Friendships of France
Hello guys I was sailing beside you during the Heineken regatta, Leopard 50 La Novia, I am wondering where you are now and what’s your plans for the next 2 month.
We just got an extension in the BVI, 2 months seems difficult to plan ahead in these times. We were planning Bahama’s and east coast USA but we might change that in sailing the boat back to Europe once the situation over there improves
ahoy great circle.. i have been following and watching your videos for sometime now... all the way back to Breinwave... with the worldwide pandemic situation, what are the plans for great circle and its wonderful crew? this pandemic has disrupted not only lives but it seem to have affected every single aspect of our lives...youtube videos (no matter how trivial it may sound) included... what would youtube sailors, food travelers, world bloggers, etc do now? (forget the so called influencers...lol)
Everything’s still fine in the BVI, might have to stay a bit longer in this beautiful and not as crowded as usual environment perhaps, as the risk of traveling for several days to the Bahamas seems to high now local situations are changing every day.
Not entirely true but difficult to answer without offending anyone. In hindsight we would have enjoyed participating on our L52S, even knowing we wouldn't stand a chance compared with the boats that were specifically prepared for regattas like this. In addition it doesn't make a lot of sense to test cats against each other on tracks that you wouldn't want to sail anyway on a cat. No cat likes to do close reaching.
We were very happy to join a regatta with very experienced ocean racers. We have very little experience in this field ourselves. We’ve sailed on and together with the Saona quite some times now. The L52S is another category cat compared to a FP47.

Great regatta. Robbert is my hero.
Not only yours!

We just went for big lobsters to ease the pain a bit

You probably wouldn’t appreciate my French subtitles, but you’re welcome to add French captions...not too much work as the blabla is limited
Cool, as always.

How did sailing on the FP 47 compare to your boat?

How is the covid situation for you guys, can you still sail and check in/out throughout the caribbean?
Checking in in the BVI was still ok, but seems we better check the next country first before checking out...
Idefix just told me Bahama’s closed down today as well
@@CatGreatcircle OK, good luck there, quite likely the inability/difficulty to move/fly is gonna last three months.
circum navigation there must be worse places to spend 3 months than in the BVI on Greatcircle
@@CatGreatcircle absolutely!
