- It’s our last big ocean crossing in our around the world rally. We leave Bermuda da to sail a little less than 2000 miles east to the famous sailor town of Horta on the island of Faial in the Azores.
Right in the middle of the Atlantic ocean with fast moving weather systems all around. No simple downwind trade wind sailing. This is a leg where we constantly have to pay attention to decide where to go.
Nina, the queen of the night watch, is helping us again on this leg

Hi Mark and Marijke, I heard in this video that you are going to build a home! That is exciting, but I also realize your two year long cruise is coming to an end. We have followed your adventures, and boy have they been top notch adventures, for several years, while we are not sailors, we love to travel, as you both do. Thanks for your video as usual. You are almost home. I noticed that you fly your dji phantom more often than the dji mini. Which drones do you prefer better?
We have a P4 a Mavic 2 pro and a FPV. We hardly use the FPV, the images of the Mavic are really good but the P4 is so much easier to catch in less than ideal sea states
What startlink model and service do you advice for off-shore sailing?
So far the smaller mobile disc for us doesn’t have any disadvantages compared to the more expensive one. The speed is more than enough, the reception as well, and it consumes way less energy (still a lot)
The mobility global option has recently become 3 times as expensive we switched to a mobility regional subscription. You can transfer every 3 month to another account in another region if necessary
