@@micaiah_smbdy yes, you just have to keep in mind that it's a hobby, be patient, sometimes it takes hours, sometimes it's ruined, but you want to do it to relax, so do it gracefully. Learning cooking, baking and pastry is good and very rewarding hobbies. I think everyone must learn at least the basics (sometimes it saves you money, you eat what you want...) 😊 after all there is other useful hobbies it depends on the possibilities you have. I love this channel, if you want to learn, start with easy cakes, try to buy small cake pan as Joconde ( to avoid waste)

hey how did you make the whipped cream? I'm in the UK and i used heavy/double cream, and it whipped up really thick and bad as it has more fat content than what they used. What did you use?
I made this cake yesterday and it came out beautifully. It could have been a bit more moist. Maybe don't over mix it and it will be more moist. I did use cream cheese for the frosting since I didn't have mascarpone and didn't want make it. I didnt get a reply back regarding if I can use cream cheese instead and couldn't wait for an answer. But it does work with cream cheese. It did have bit if the cream cheese smell at first. But not unusually noticeable once you add the other ingredients to the frosting. It taste better the next day and a bit more moist because I guess some of the frosting must have soaked a bit into the cake overnight. The frosting is stable and doesn't thin out while sitting in the refrigerator overnight. I will be a subscriber now.
@@kamranki cakes in general dry out when put in the fridge, as most baked goods do. try leaving it out on the table (covered ofcourse) instead, and it wont dry out nearly as fast

Yes, after keeping it in the fridge the cake goes very dense and dry and not soft at all. What can be done to remedy this?

no, u cant replace mascarpone with cream cheese unless u add extra ingredients to the cream cheese itself

To hold moistures bit longer. Corn syrup or honey are kind of invert sugar. They help to keep products moist.
