Good to hear John’s chest and nose sounding more cleared up!! The interview a week ago made me nervous but he sounds great and looks super strong Let’s go John!
Great Interview and GREAT NEWS that John will continue to pull a few more years . Arm Wrestling needs John to stay involved. Looking forward to KOTT 8 . Thank You Coresports for another great event.
I actually disagree, i am a total John fan, but I think he needs to take a break for awhile. It’s sad to see him losing so much now, aging, and dealing with so many injuries. Obviously up to him, but I think he should take care of his health, it’s not doing him much good to continue to pull at where hes at now. Or at least retire once he gets one final good win on somebody.
John is the underdog in this matchup. He has experienced more wear and tear on his body, not to mention the long-term chronic shoulder issue he has dealt with over the years. His endurance is also not as good as it was in his younger days. Coming off four consecutive losses has greatly demotivated John. I want John to win, but I think Alexey will take this one... At this point in his career, John can pick whoever he wants to face. He has nothing left to prove. John could lose every match until he's 90, and it wouldn't change his status. Longevity and legacy are what define him as the greatest of all time. The man truly deserves it
If we take experience and more into acount I think the John Brzenk of today is the 3rd best version ever. Behind 2006 and 2009. Call me crazy all you want but John now has by far the most competitive experience out of everyone. He may not be as strong as he was in 2006 but he’s experienced enough that he is not that far away. John Brzenk will shock the world on Saturday. Alexey Voevoda is in trouble.
You really think so? Even with his hand/wrist injury? Plus his weakened side pressure from shoulder. As a huge John fan myself I disagree. Just because he’s getting stem cells/exosomes, nad+ therapy, and other therapies doesn’t mean he’s at his 3rd best shape. Plus his pulling style is completely different now. It’s just catch and hold with back pressure and pronation. Having the most experience doesn’t change anything if he can’t access his power in any positions. Which are limited now.
Even if he does beat him, this is the worst version of John since 2004 when he wasn't even training. His shoulder is gone. He can't go into a hook anymore. He catches and holds, but he gasses before he gets a chance to transition despite having a dominant hand.
Having spoken to Engin and Marcio and following John Brzenk's career since 2007 I can tell you his prime shape was 1998 Golden Bear and 2006 where he defeated prime Farid Usmanov who was notoriously termed 'Undefeatable Hooker'.... In 2009 John was dominant in Zloty Tur Tournament format against new up and coming Superheavyweights.... 1998 Alan Karaev would have demolished everyone in late 2000s Zloty Tur.... 2004 John was seriously considering retiring, underweight at ~93kg, with chronic elbow problems and made an appearance for the film about him (Pulling John).
@@BowensGingerPubes You do realize that’s from the covid vaccines, right? That’s not John’s actual endurance. I have it myself and it drains you physically and mentally.
@@QuietToproll I think he’s going to get better these coming months. I think that is also why he is gonna drop weight and get healthy. So that it is easier to get healed up and such because he will be more fit and mobile. I think John’s plan is to drop down to ~ 95 kg and get healed up and healthy before he goes back to 105 kg next year. I believe his top-end strength is still close to 2009 but if he can treat his shoulder/ body and get healthy at lower weight first then move up. He will be good as new💪 It will be somewhat like how he was in 2004 but then bulked up big and strong in 2006. November 2023 will be John’s ” 2004 weight” and then he will take it up a notch in 2024/25 like he did in 2006 but fully fit and healthy shoulder.
SO happy to hear that John has no plans of retiring anytime soon 😊
He's got scores to settle! 😊💪

John Brzenk is one of the most amazing athletes not only in Armwrestling, but in all sports
John's snowmobile injury was a few weeks before the Denis match.

I’m a few years older than John and I guess I’m selfish but I hate to see him retire.@@justusgray276
