Agreed, her solo career music was a different style than the 60's with Pic-Nic. I read that in the 70's, she was groomed by the record company to be a romantic ballad singer, which she initially did not like. She preferred her musical roots with Pic-Nic, but her voice was perfect for romantic ballads as her success showed.
