I am a 43 years old Korean guy. Born and raised in Korea. This man Lionel, 100 percent hands down my mom's all time favorite. I did not understand that when I was a kid. But after I turned 30 and getting closer to 40, I understood why she loves his songs so much. The lyrics are philosophical. And his emotions on his voice is just sensational.

This song brings me to tears, it was our song. He's been gone long years now, and our children have grown up and have families of their own. Our oldest looks so much like his dad that it's like looking at a photograph of him when he was younger. Lionel's voice is so rich, so full of longing that it pulls these memories right out of me, and the tears flow again. I guess music really is the universal language, it speaks to all of us about things we all experience. Thank you Lionel!

I met this guy back in 2007 in Nashville while I was working security at a show he was performing at. Nicest guy in the world. After his performance he gave an autograph to every single person wanting one and thanked all employees who were working the show.
