pretty hard to hide it, the only thing stopping it from being obvious to everyone is people coping. a lot of people need it to not be rigged so it stays fun for them. i think it can still be fun
So here's my question as someone who knows nothing about this and used to play NBA DFS: How soon after the fact are those close calls verified? Is it that night or are there reviews the next day well after the DFS sites post their cash outs?
From what i saw next day they get verifed because i seen many times where someone had 7 assists last night then i check box score again next day and he actually ended up with 8. Its not a lot of times it happens but once every couple games for sure
Usually the stats for the first half get verified during halftime. Not unusual to see a guy walk with 6 rebounds into the the locker room and return with 5 at the start of the 3rd QT. The ones on the second half usually get verified shortly after the game
I believe that it's mostly during the game that the reviews take place. I'm only basing this, however, on my memory of following box scores for fantasy basketball. I think it's rare for a statistic to change the following day.
The thing that most surprises me as a non-US person is that sports betting is only legal in 20 states lol how is that possible, sports betting seems perfect for the USA!
Crazy how everyone talks about the missed call on lebron like they’re not gonna acknowledge that he also clearly traveled on that same play but it also wasn’t called

I’m a ball boy for the Cavs and there’s a Caesars sports book in the arena and we’re told you CANNOT place any bets in person or on any app while in the building
There’s a story of the old Vancouver Grizzlies scorekeeper, I imagine before it went through 5 people, that got annoyed at the way assists were given so he gave a player any assist that could be argued the guy who he was giving the assists to recorded like 23 assists that night.
He basically went through all the alleged questionable calls and found maybe 2 or 3 that were wrong if I remember correctly. In some instances, the reddit user displayed a fundamantal lack of knowledge of rules.

I think they do it reverse. Under the leather there is metal wrapped under leather but so small you don't know difference. The rim is actually a electro magnet being able to kick it on with switch when they need a basketball to go in. All someone has to do to find out is to steal NBA game ball. Run like they never ran before , then dissect the ball to prove it's got stuff in ball to make it magnetic. Or wear magnet gloves and say hey let me take a shot. If the ball sticks , we know what's going on. I've seriously been saying this since Jordan was making every shot he took in the 90s. Vegas probably holds the switch that kicks on and off the electro magnetic rim. See those electro magnets can be fine tuned too. Like maybe they don't want a shot to go in. The reverse the magnetism so the ball won't go through rim. Ever seen some one try dunking just to see ball bounce out of rim with force. That's the electro magnet working in reverse. I know this is a funny topic but Why wouldn't a multi billion dollar industry not do use electro magnetism to dictate games life. I say for sure their doing it on all professional levels including college, especially college quadruple overtime games every game 😂

It isn't unprecedented. In the 90s when the Lakers were shit, they needed some hype around their team and so one night gave enough extra assists to Nick Van Exel for him to break a record (20-something assists). Also Boston gave a shitload more assists to Rondo than he should've gotten
Growing up. I used to watch who was going to referee an NBA game. After Donahue scandal they keep it secret before a game. I used to be able to pick games based on who was calling the game. For real!

Adam Silver makes a lot of money betting in Las Vegas, so they rig the games you really think blowing 25+ leads is common?? Dudes look as though they have forgotten how to bounce a ball and end losing an easy game...
I don’t even particularly like the NBA, but just gotta say your voice and cadence is perfect for RUclips. Watched the whole thing. You’d probably blow up if you expanded to general content.
The Warriors are like that right now. Refs have always not called fouls in the closing seconds more than calling them. I certainly don't want a game going to overtime because of a foul, nor would I want to lose a game over a foul and some free throws. Watch the Shawn Marion foul on Kevin Love at the closing seconds of a Timberwolves and Mavericks game. That was a blatant foul, and it was never called.
What's even crazier is that this has been happening for years but it never got noticed. it took one of the poorest franchises in the world being on top for people to start digging into it.

No. As a fan from an opposing team, I can say those Stockton numbers are legit. The ball was always in his hands.
Is it just me or are more people starting to become aware of professional sports rigging lately?
Nah, more butthurt fans and bettors are just trying to find other things to blame other than their team or themselves
@@STEEZY_TREV16 😴
@@Spencahhhhh
It's true, though. The only people claiming rigging are bettors and toxic bandwagon fans who can't handle a loss
pretty hard to hide it, the only thing stopping it from being obvious to everyone is people coping. a lot of people need it to not be rigged so it stays fun for them. i think it can still be fun
Because it become more obvious
When you're a big market in sports, you get better treatment from the league and refs but one main priority is they always try to protect the owners
There so much money involved, I'd be shocked if pro sports weren't rigged.
There has been some "rigging" in the Warriors and Lakers games this season especially in the past few weeks. You should try to cover this as well.

no
They should expose the nba refs. And why some of them are so blind
“People on Reddit are not just dorks on the internet”

Crazy how everyone talks about the missed call on lebron like they’re not gonna acknowledge that he also clearly traveled on that same play but it also wasn’t called
When your so good that people start making conspiracy theories about you💀
What's with the deathmask?
Memphis has a weird energy surrounding the city. Anybody repping Memphis is tapped in to this same energy.
Even if the JJJ stats are legit, there are many other examples that show the league is, in some ways, "rigged".
And it would be against their interest to not do so.
I’m a ball boy for the Cavs and there’s a Caesars sports book in the arena and we’re told you CANNOT place any bets in person or on any app while in the building
You legalize gambling in NBA and get surprised that people rig the games? That was apparent miles away.
I have noticed this so many times with players not getting credit for rebounds , assists, and such. Even though it clearly was
There’s a story of the old Vancouver Grizzlies scorekeeper, I imagine before it went through 5 people, that got annoyed at the way assists were given so he gave a player any assist that could be argued the guy who he was giving the assists to recorded like 23 assists that night.
Bballbreakdown has a review on this matter. Some of the examples are legit stat for JJJ
He basically went through all the alleged questionable calls and found maybe 2 or 3 that were wrong if I remember correctly. In some instances, the reddit user displayed a fundamantal lack of knowledge of rules.
@@MikeP_ ive watched a bunch of these dubunking channels and no one knows the rules. each channel lists 3 misscalls but each channel has their own 3 unique set of these miscalls. and they are all using the same rules but different interpretations of said rules... its a mess.
@@johnmarkson1990 yeah just like the interpretation of the “gather step” that harden uses. It is very confusing at first unless you digest it from the rule book thoroughly
This comes town to human nature, ofcourse home stat keepers fudge some numbers, just like some refs are 100% biased
When CP3 first started out in New Orleans, it was pretty obvious that the New Orleans stat guy was padding his assist stats.
All yall saying NBA is rigged but still watch. Yall too funny
I say for sure their doing it on all professional levels including college, especially college quadruple overtime games every game 😂
this is the first video of yours i’ve seen. your editing is clean, your audio is clear, and i love the swish sound you add in for visuals!!!! keep it up bro
Life itself is rigged
You get it.
Amen
🔥
It isn't unprecedented. In the 90s when the Lakers were shit, they needed some hype around their team and so one night gave enough extra assists to Nick Van Exel for him to break a record (20-something assists).
Also Boston gave a shitload more assists to Rondo than he should've gotten
Growing up. I used to watch who was going to referee an NBA game. After Donahue scandal they keep it secret before a game. I used to be able to pick games based on who was calling the game. For real!
If I had just Half the energy of this guy making this video………. 🤯
It's been rigged from the beginning but this isn't how it's done. It's about controlling the flow.
Refs can dictate the flow, they do it in the NFL and the NBA
Game 6 2019 GSW v Rockets where rockets missed 27 3’s in a row. All the refs rigging the flow
@@marvinwilliams7938 I'm not sure shat you mean but i would have to go back and watch it
Just youtube 'rockets vs gsw finals rigged' and you'll see what I mean. Rockets missed 27 in a row but it was from the refs not calling fouls and huge point swings
@@marvinwilliams7938 yea i see what you mean now. It's obvious that officials can influence the outcome of a game by manipulating the flow via calls and non calls. A quick 2 fouls given to your best player early can effect the game immensely.
Gambling is ruining sports.

Good job realizing the league scripts games. Except, I knew that in the '80's. Way to catch up, folks.
NBA and WWE the same! It’s call entertainment.
They aren't filed under sports entertainment tho
look no further than the western conference finals game 6 Kings vs Lakers (i think it was 2002?) i was calling that shit out and nobody said a damn thing about it being fixed - turns out years later the refs admitted they rigged it to force a game 7, soured me on the NBA for years i wouldn’t watch it any more

i always wondered who fact checked all the stats in a game. there’s so many stats that are being counted simultaneously it’s crazy if there are no mistakes imo.

wish I put like $1000 or something down on that JJJ bet for dpoy before the season started. Very good chances now on that nice profit.
Those are the types of bets I would actually do, keep it nice and simple. I hate all the splits or this team will win by this many points and shit like that. They make sure to skew those detailed number bets against your favor so you'll usually lose more than win.

Most of us KNOW the NBA is rigged but it’s still pretty entertaining lol
So, the children's ego grows at home, then on the road they're scared and grumpy
Seacaucus, New Jersey.
so what is keeping an NBA player or ref to skew an outcome in order to win a bet they, or their family members, placed?
nba is not a competitive league, its entertainment, its a movie, its a play with a script
I thought it was a coincidence "for the first time in NBA history" scenarios occur every season.
