- After just finishing the competition performances for Pentatonix on The Sing Off, I just had to watch this reaction from two of their members. I am so glad you guys requested it. It was so very funny and amusing.

You are so right! Mitch has improved so much that he notices little things he used to do that weren't wrong they just weren't up to the skill level he is at now and he is his own worst critic. Regardless it was good enough to win a show with the entire nation voting on it! But his voice register has changed so much it's funny watching him ask "Why am I singing so low? " 😂 And his dancing was a little awkward, but I think they did really well with their choreo! I am almost certain that they did their own choreography. They used the whole stage, which is important for choreo,, and their formations were great and executed flawlessly... except for Avi's photo bomb with the jazz hands! 😂😂😂
What's really cool is that they can dance now and Mitch is very good at it. Scott is getting really good too but I think his scoliosis along with his height makes it a little harder for him to be flexible but he does dang good! Superfruit did videos for each one of their songs on their original album "Future Friends" and it was heavily choreographed and our boys looked great! It's like night and day especially for Mitch compared to The Sing-Off! The first time we realized they were going to be dancing in their videos was when they performed hurry up live on James Corden late night show. And they were dancing and smiling they had backup dancers and props! It was great! And I I know there is no Auto-Tune, but I don't remember if the track was playing in the background. All I know is that was super fruits first performance on TV and they killed it! By the way, that album is about the journey their friendship has been on. I don't know if you realize that a lot of fans have been shipping Scott and Mitch with intense pressure and debate about whether or not they have been dating since probably Channel started. And they've had to deal with that subject constantly. They would always say they were best friends. Mitch is not the kind of person that likes to talk about his his personal life to the public. It's just not necessary. But eventually they put out a book about their friendship and their history. Scott wrote part of it and Mitch wrote part of it. I found it very interesting to see the two different points of views on the same incidence that they both experience together. They put that book out right before they started recording their album. And of course the book hit the airwaves fast because fans discovered that they dated briefly in High School I believe. Mitch was actually Scott's first kiss and it was after they've been friends very long time and he talked to Mitch about conflicting feelings he was having about him. He basically came out to Mitch yet to the rest of us Scott is undefined. he has never stayed out loud what his preference is. I feel awkward talking about this even though they published this information, but it applies to the music I was going to talk about so I had to bring this up. They tried to rekindle their relationship during The Sing-Off and realize that they felt like brothers and it was horrible making that was your brother so they just stopped. but still they've always been so close they are the only two members of Pentatonix that room together on tour, and they did so on The Sing-Off as well. They are absolutely best friends and during their attempt at a romantic relationship Mitch broke it off with Scott and broke his little teenage heart according to Scott. I guess they used to have lots of fun in Scott's car. now I can get to the point of how this relates to their album. they wrote a song called "Bad For Us" . Bad for Us is referring to their resolve to not risk the amazing friendship they have by trying to be in a romantic relationship again. So they remain platonic best friends. the video for the song "perfect" is pertaining to when they were dating and you do see a car in the video and that is what that reference is about. Pretty soon after they released this album everything changed with Superfruit and we're still waiting for it to get back to normal. Mitch is dating somebody and is very happy but their friendship now is really awkward. you haven't watched enough Superfruit to realize that Scott is a touchy-feely kind of person. He's one of those it's always all up in your business with the tickling and the two of them were constantly hugging, things like that. it is problematic for the relationship Mitch is in. so Mitch let him know that that had to stop and Scott Reigned himself in, and now is extremely awkward around Mitch. It's painful to watch. they haven't done very many episodes at all since Mitch moved out and Scott purchased a different house to live in. but they've been on tour for Superfruit and they put on some excellent shows there is just a gulf between them. I hate to see a really good friendship become so awkward because true friends are hard to find. I hope they figure out a way that Mitch can have both his romantic relationship and still have that best friend closeness with Scott. I haven't laughed in ages at those two! I need to see those two goofing off! It's just keeping you up-to-date with the progression of interpersonal relationships so that you're prepared. also you do know that Avi left Pentatonix correct? I just noticed you haven't reacted 2 much of their new stuff that is on their latest album (which is Amazing by the way) ! so I didn't know if you were aware of the fact that they have a new base who is actually very good and has an amazing personality! but we still have that hurt of Avi being gone. I'm just really grateful that guy that replaced him has such an amazing personality and his own skill set to bring to the table that isn't the same style as RB, but it's still really amazing and draws you right in! Matt is a really neat guy and fun fact! when he was younger his acapella group went to see Pentatonix in concert and Mitch took Matt's sunglasses and wore them on stage. Matt was absolutely stunned because he was a fan and very Starstruck. that was when he was inspired 2 have acapella as his main area of study and training. and now he's in the group. he cannot believe it and is adorable in his humbleness and enthusiasm! Man I talked for a long time. sorry about that! 😳
If you have watched at least season 1 of "stranger things" I'd suggest "Stranger Things in 3 Minutes" it's HILARIOUS!!!

Brilliant choice after the sing off performances.
Some of my Superfruit faves:
- "More Likely To". They had flown somewhere on tour for Pentatonix, so they were jetlagged and kinda slap-happy which made it extra funny.
- "Yoga Challenge" because neither do yoga nor are particularly athletic.
- "Stranger Things in 3 minutes" and of course the accompanying "Stranger Things bloopers" - Scott & Mitch and a couple friends act out season 1 of Stranger Things.
- If you like Game of Thrones, they've done 2 videos on their channel with Maisie Williams (who is a big Pentatonix & Superfruit fan... she's even in the PTX music video for "Sing").
Also, if you hear them talk about "Wyatt" - Wyatt was Mitch's sphynx cat. They decided last spring to give him to a different family since they were never home because of touring so he was frequently staying with a sitter.
We are our own worst critics. Considering how new they were as a group they did an unbelievable job. Just waiting for some more PTX reactions. So many to choose from but you might want to start with some of their earlier ones. And pleas don't forget the Home Free Sing Off reactions. They are such great singers that I know that you will like most of their stuff.

Yes, I have seen it and that is what makes me want more. I know you will continue to get your mind blown. While they do a lot of Country they also do other genres although with a bit of a Country twist. You do really great reactions and I have to say you are now my favorite. Keep up the great work.
Fun reaction! For about 2 years they did new Superfruit videos every Tuesday, but they got too busy touring and recording and just couldn't keep it up. They still do them every once in a while, and they are always fun. I wish someone made a list of their songs of the week, because that would be a very interesting playlist! See you on Sing-Off #13.

Marti Absolutely true, but I didn't want to spoil the surprise of just how phenomenal Mitch was that night. The best reactions to this video are the ones who aren't at all prepared for what's coming. So, I kept it a little vague for that reason, only making sure he knew that everyone was there and singing because one of the most common questions was "Where's so and so?"
I really miss the old days of Superfruit, we really got to see another side of Scott and Mitch and it felt so natural and familiar. Their friendship is so beautiful and they are genuinely great people. I hope you get around to seeing the videos from the Future Friends album. They have really matured as artists and performers. I bet you will love it 🙌

The SuperFruit cover of Katy Perry's "Rise" (with guest performers) makes me cry every time I watch it. I highly recommend it.

I year late watching this but I agree, Mitch is concerned with the difference in their level of performance. I think he's also more conscious of his wardrobe and he was mortified by some of the costumes.
You definitely need to check out Superfruit!! That's Mitch and Scott together!! They have some great singing ones - Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Anti Medley, Miley many others!! They harmonize together so well. You need to look them up!! And Peter Hollens is incredible!! He sings all the parts to the song!! Which can be up to 12 parts!! Check out "Fire"!!
