You are every L5P owners savior. Thank you for these videos!!! Liked and subbed a long time ago.
Thank you, i appriciate it!
Glad you go it fixed!! Looking forward your next trip video..always do!!
Thank you, i appreciate it!
Glad you got it fixed. Easier at home than on the side of the road. Good video bud. Stay safe
Headed across Wyoming today. Supposed to be good on wind. What a blessing
I couldn't begin to tell you how happy I was when I learned that I did not need to have to take my Colorado in to have its NOx sensor position 1 reprogrammed by the dealer. (2.8 Duramax). It was as simple as removing the old one and replacing it with the new one. After that, I cleared the code and activated driving regen with my Banks iDash, and so far so good. Oh, and the NOx sensor torque is somewhere around 35 ft-lb.
Thanks, another great video!
I always look forward to your video's.
Thank you, i appriciate it!
Nice vid!! Elkhart, eh, that's my hometown.
We had a manufactured housing company there and everything we built was being shipped to Florida, so we opened a factory there and I wound up in Florida for the last 38 years!
As always, well presented videos with in-depth information regarding each of your fixes, travels and commentary.
Thanks! :)
Thank you! I wouldn't mind living in Florida. Thought about buying a house there a few years ago. Looked at a few but never did
Very interesting... great video. Thanks for sharing... BTW, love the halo effect of the ceiling fan and your forehead-mounted flashlight, 😂
Lol... can you tell i didn't really plan this out very well
@@CFarmer not at all. It was a very good video.
Thank ya
Thanks man, safe travels
Nice vid. I’m heading to Indiana Sunday. Still looking for a load that’s going out west.
Hey Greg, IT had quite a few Renos on the board but wouldn't ya know as soon as i took this a Santee Ca came up, lol
I carry both with me pos 1 and 2 … be safe out there sir …
oof!! we just did the particle sensor on the 19. 3500 sierra, was damn near welded in place from regens. lol
😎👍
Where did you get the socket to take of the nox sensor?
I hope it dose ok. If you have to work on it out here in Wyoming you will really be tired and cold.
O yea, I'll be in Wyoming tomorrow. It's definitely colder than it was at home
@@CFarmer Hear now heading to Redding, CA. Think I got a days jump on you. Be safe think that wind is suppose to kick back up at Elk Mt. in the a.m.
I like to stop over here at Lyman exit 41 the got some good food at the cowboy resturant and good prices.
I'll have to check that out
Mabe we'll see each other in passing on way back
Nice work . Should you do a regen after replacing the sensor?
Thank you! It wouldn't hurt but i didn't this time
Great video, have you ever used copper anti-seize? I use it on O2 sensors and it works amazing!
Thank you, i have before and keep intending to get some but it keeps slipping my mind. It works really good
When C Farmer came out to help/save me with my injector connector, he hooked up his scanner to see if I had any other codes and it threw a position 1 Nox sensor and #2 glow plug code. When I got back to my shop I changed both and used the copper anti seize on the Nox sensor. Hopefully I don't have to see how well it works. Lol. Once again, great informative video!
I had do mine but my code I only had 100mile to debate then called around, only one dealer had it lucky guy who ordered it never came get it after 6weeks. Easy if not so tight and awkward spot right.
Is the number 2 the same part number as the number 1?
They are definitely different part numbers. I have heard that they're not interchangeable
Thanks again for sharing!!!
My 2018 Duramax gave a P20EE CODE and it says NOX sensor catalyst below threshold on my scan tool. I read that was the Position 2 NOX sensor. Any advice there? 218,000 miles on the truck
I was getting the same code around 250k and ran some lucas dpf cleaner through it not expecting much. The code didn't come back so i started using it regurlarly.i slacked off on it because of how pricy it was and about 2 months later it came back so I'm back on regular doses now. No guarantee it will Worrell for you but i believe it's worth a shot
My 18 L5p tossed a position 1 nox catalyst below threshold code. I pulled the sensor and sprayed a mass air flow cleaner( a pure alcohol) into the small holes in the sensor. Gave it a good dose. The alcohol drained out over the course of a couple minutes of shaking it. A fair bit of grainy residue came out. I reinstalled the sensor and it hasn’t been a problem for 1 year. I did read online some advice from an engineer that designed these sensors that he did not recommend using parts cleaner or anything other then a pure alcohol type product like mass air flow cleaner.
Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing Brother! I will definitely let yall know once I get into the truck and try my hand at it
just did mine a month or so ago and needed a torch to get it out... Terrible placement for something you have to replace.

More useful information...thanks!
