i feel like one of their only redeeming products is that amazonian clay blush which is my HG blush but they changed the formula???? and made the full size products smaller while keeping the same price so looks like i’ll be finding dupes for my fav color 😐
My red flags are the "run, dont walk" short form videos to get such and such product and product reveals woth filters. This always has me suspicious like "what are you trying to hide." The last two years I've been buying less and getting out of this mindset, and it feels good. Because I realised that often times we talk ourselves into new products without having the full scope on it. Another red flag area are "innovative new formulas" kind of products. When it comes to formulas, at this point, we've almost hit the roof. Theres just so much that can be innovative. Why try to make it better if it works.
Skincare infused in foundations and concealers but we are lingering in 15 shades , most of them warm leaning, the fairest are light to medium spectrum and deep non-existent ! I can't spend 50-60 € on a foundation that doesn't offer inclusivity!
I remember saying I wanted someone to dupe the charlotte tillburry blush wands without the shitty sponge on the end, then someone was like "but then it wouldn't be a dupppeee!" Remember when dupes had different packaging and as long as the product inside performed the same we were happy. 😅
The part I love is the sponge on the end.🙄 I’m not very good with makeup (and I’m 60+, that’s how poor I am at it!), so it helps me control how much I use it. It’s expensive, but lasts forever.🥰
I noticed the barrettes right away, and thought “dang, she looks very put together with those, those look good on her!”. You always look beautiful, but those look good on you! ❤❤❤
@@paulmaccaroniugh…I’m sure all these women with ultra fine hair totally want to hear about how you have “too much hair” and how “precious” barrettes look in their hair 😑
24h claims are a green flag for me because I’m in theatre and I need my glam stage makeup to last through all my sweating and costume changes. I don’t expect them to actually last that long, but if they have moveability, there’s a high chance I’ll ruin something when I wipe my sweat or I’ll get stuff on my costumes.
I think it could be a good idea if a brand released one of those puff products with interchangeable puffs that you clean. You would be able to replace the dirty one with a spare, and clean it. This way you can still use the product and dont have to worry about leaving the product open while the tip is being cleaned.
I just don’t put the puff on my face at all. Squeeze some out on the back of my hand and apply with a brush. I find that the puff isn’t great for application anyway and I’m paranoid about it becoming an acne bacteria Petri dish
This red lip looks absolutely gorgeous on you, I can’t get over it. I’ve never ONCE looked good in a red lip & all the years I got Ipsy glam bag+ I had my settings set to red lip: never & it’s truly the ONLY lip color I ever got in 5+ yrs. I’m still salty. Every time my baby sis visited from NYC I had 4 red lipsticks minimum for her.

Not completely related but when I saw the Chanel eye shadow quad, I STILL don't understand those stupid little choad-like sponge applicators. Tom Ford is famous for that too. For that price, include mini real brushes or none at all!!! It's so ridiculous! Who uses those? They look like a misshapen q-tip! Love the video
About the "puff" products. The puff holds on to the makeup, compared to applying the same product with a beauty blender or brush. The "puff" wastes make up. Love the red lips, cheers
The only reason I look for the 12-hour claim is because I have very oily skin and those foundations tend to last a solid 8 hours for me, which is ideal for events and parties, but not work. I don’t have the patience to touch up my face while I’m working. Also, I think minis are a scam, just get travel size containers and repackage skincare and makeup like that.
I absolutely do not like the puffs. I am always concerned about germs. No grit in my lipgloss please. I agree about prices. I side eye them too. The shrinkflation is real. I tend to get caught up in the fantasy too. Great video. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️
You are SO RIGHT about extra longwear claims. I'd rather be able to blend a product in if it's moved, than have it stuck looking patchy or dry. Really the only thing that I need to last is my eyeshadow and there are so many good eyeshadow primers that make my eye makeup last for 14 hours or more. I don't need 24 hours. I'm not awake that long and I cannot stand to wear makeup that long.
Fully agree with you abt the short form content thing. I personally love shorts for stuff like "Here's all the shades of x lip gloss!" "This product got reformulated and isn't the same anymore!" "Here's all the cool brown lip glosses that I've tried!" because these are all things you can say in a minute. I don't need ten minutes to see all the swatches of the new elf lip oil. I don't need ten minutes to see if a brown lip gloss pulls orange. Full reviews? Heck nah, but for a first look into something, they're amazing.

Yeah, most lighting setups you see on YT and *especially* TikTok make it so basically all foundation looks good. I think every makeup product should come as a mini version as well. I always get rid of products respecting the exipiry date and it is impossible to finish even though I have minimal amount of makeup products and use them constantly. Powders are better since they last usually 24 months but liquids and creams... Make smaller products so we have that option! Also the lower price of minis feels like you can explore more. I don't know, I feel like makeup compagnies know we won't use all the product and the high quantity of product justify their astronautical prices.
I only like short form content for swatches or like a look at the packaging - I would never trust a tiktok, reel, or short review lol. I need a 40 minute video before I spend my money 😂
I love my Estée Lauder long wear foundation. My old foundation used to melt and wrinkle on a 12 hour shift. This foundation lasts all day even on my combination skin.
I’m using the Byroe $80 kiwi cleanser and it’s great! I got it from Ipsy for $12. I’ll 💯 rebuy it for $12- there’s no way I’m spending full price. I hate anything that says it has 24hr wear because I find all of those formulas really drying and they don’t look good-like those old ABH liquid lipsticks-great it lasts forever, but my lips look and feel like the Sahara!
I just became a subscriber to both of your channels and I can't stop watching your content! You are so qualified, well spoken, transparent, and funny! This is my lucky day! Thank you! ❤

I love my Estée Lauder long wear foundation. My old foundation used to melt and wrinkle on a 12 hour shift. This foundation lasts all day even on my combination skin.
You look gorgeous with a red lip! 🥰
Love, love your look today, everything about it! That red lip? Stunning!
OMG - THAT RED LIP!!!! what product is that!?
Btw, you look amazing!! I’m a makeup fanatic and you rock the application!
“I don’t always win. Sometimes the fantasy wins.” 😂 LOVED this video!
Thank you for this. It was as fun as it was informative ❤
❤️❤️❤️
I did not even notice the barrettes because I was so captivated by your red lip moment! That is a gorgeous color on you!
This makeup look on you is so pretty! The red lip with that blush and eyeshadow - gorgeous!
I love ur hair in this it looks so good
I just became a subscriber to both of your channels and I can't stop watching your content! You are so qualified, well spoken, transparent, and funny! This is my lucky day! Thank you! ❤
Your makeup looks so good. You look really pretty.
Hey Lauren! Love your whole look here. Great video & thank goodness I had no interest in any of these products. However, I totally agree with you regarding eyeshadows & long wearing makeup. The one thing I am interested in is knowing what lip products you used in this video. Gorgeous! 💋
I need that lip!!!!!
You always look so pulled together. What lipstick are you wearing today? Love, love, love it!!
Thank you so much! I’m wearing a lip liner from Jane Iredale in Crimson and a Pat McGrath lipstick in Elson! :)
i hate those stupid little puff products, they always get so gross bc you can’t actually clean them and end up irritating my skin UGH
I actually really like the puff thingy's ❤ so cute
