Don't worry, I'm sure the single-player experience will deliver. It's still an open-world action adventure like the previous game, and the multiplayer is entirely optional
No it doesn't. It looked fine then. It looks fine now, and It looked fine in the video before that. Stop with this nutcase narrative. It makes no sense.
let be real... i don't explore in the first game for upgrade my character i explore to seeing and expand more of the world that so limit but seem so big and beautiful. i doubt that procedural generated world can make that feel happen Edit: but see in good way it might be good if they can put the element of exploration and story telling terrain like first game focus into one place(the hub part)
Disasterpiece was a huge part of helping set the atmosphere and tone of HLD. I don't think many other artists would have been able to do what he did with that OST. I was hoping he'd come back for this too but I guess they wanted to go in a different direction
Around 3 years in the making, I wish they've worked on a Ocarina of Time-like, carefully crafted world and story - rather than ANOTHER rougelite multiplayer type game with thousand different worlds, but none with any kind of soul. Huge bummer to see it take that direction... I wish the devs a successful launch anyway and hope people will enjoy it :)
Yeah man I agree. This is by no means me dunking on the dev team because they are clearly talented but I watched the NoClip documentary on the early development of this game and whilst the devs are clearly talented, I really struggled to understand what sets the “meat” of this game apart from other titles doing similar things. I always thought it must just be me but apparently not. I did enjoy Drifter but only 3-4 out of 5 enjoyed it, it was pretty generic otherwise
I really dont intend to be rude, but what are you smoking? It looks so flashy, colorful, and rich with unique character designs that also fit immaculately in with the hyper light drifter universe. And a fully openworld roguelike in this fashion looks so innovative and fun.
@@flebedebeb4739 I would agree with the open world element you spoke of IF they pull it off. Maybe that would be the thing that grabs me gameplay wise that Drifter didn’t really. I am open to being proved wrong and I hope for the devs they get a win with this one, I will certainly be playing it to give it a go as I’ve followed the development loosely since seeing the doc
Well, I mean it kind of does, and not everything transitions well to 3D, but they did the best they could. I’m sure there are other people who did better but it will take a few steps
I like how all the pixel art elements are present in the 3d game.
The visual effects for shots, attacks and items
very interesting
So excited to see this new take on the IP. I loved Hyper Light Drifter so I'm incredibly excited for this!
@@BlackC13 I also loved Drifter & was immediately addicted to the dash chain mechanic! Hoping this is great as well!
I wonder how the procedural terrain will fit into the story of Hyper Light.
NGL, I was expecting this to be the story after, not before
Oh im so excited. Been on my wishlist for a while!
Although I hope this succeeds, it doesn’t look like it’s my type of game anymore sadly…
Don't worry, I'm sure the single-player experience will deliver. It's still an open-world action adventure like the previous game, and the multiplayer is entirely optional
What were you hoping for? More style of the og or..
Looks so good! Combat looks so evolved from the last trailer

Looks kinda like dauntless, hopefully this game will do better
i had a feeling
"running in and button mashing wont get you very far"
Thank you
This is giving me the vibe of a modern Phantom Dust from the original xbox, which I'm all for. Phantom Dust was good back when.
Looks awesome 🔥🔥🔥

Looks like Risk of rain on crack
@@zoombig yeah sane generic 3d shit
looks okay but i just want another Hyperlight isometric game I might try this though
Reminds me of rust of rain but updated
Hordes of enemys sees 3 guys xd
I love the hooded red panda/racoon/cat visual design. And I think I would love his close combat ninja style skills.
Will this be on Xbox or PS5?
It's on Steam, maybe i'll come to the consoles at some point.
The art direction of Hyper Light Drifter was second to none. However taking it into 3D, just makes it feels like Fortnite..
Risk of rain 2 gameplay ?
If the weapons and skills are diverse I think I’ll love playing it. It’s almost like a PvE extraction shooter
Looks neat! I do wish the music was more emblematic of HLD… disasterpeace is missed 😢

Loved the first one definitely looking forward to this..bring early access to xbox. Xbox player here
Actually looks good
Day one. Loved their other two games. Even if Solar Ash was meh.
I love indy gamea
"Hey Lady! You call him Dr. Jones!!!!!"
yeah, the great circle’s incredible!
Did you write this comment whilst watching an Indiana Jones advert like the rest of this reply thread?
Why does it look like Minecraft console edition to me?
IM SO FUCKING HYPEDDD
IM SO HYPED!
Hope this is p2p, and not client server so me and my buds dont have to depend on servers to stay up.
Where is DRIFTER?!
If this is taking place _decades_ before Hyper Light Drifter, probably not born yet.
LETS GOOOO
I've been following this game for a long time now, it should be pretty good.
Chromatic Abberation - The Game
The look reminds of risk of rain 2
Wow literally my birthday
🔥
Looks like a better version of Wayfinder. I might have to try this game out.
They're entirely different genres

Eh
Please update the fonts! I beg you!
Does it have to be played multiplayer?
No
Cant wait for this to finally release, been waiting for years! :)
Cross play 🙏🏽
RIP to the Hyper Light Drifter sequel we never got. Don’t need all of this 3D nonsense. Starting to look like every other game more and more…
NC has so.e of the best MC's. I see you!!
this looks phenomenal and i absolutely cant wait to dive in
Look how they massacred my boy...
@@TheMaestro116 :(
Really hoping that's not the case!! But... man
Looking forward to Possessors more than this
Me too. This video honestly kind of killed my hype. Doesn’t really look like it’s for me.
Please bring this to Switch!
Ugh another rouge-like approach...
max 6 months then it will shut down like others
it's not a live service, it can't shut down :)
why this is looking like a gatcha?
My only gripe is that it's 3 players and not 4 players. Why this forced 3 Player only squads?
Early access? fk i can't join in
They replaced the unique art style for a 3rd person generic cell-shaded looking co-op action game.
FINALLY! a release date
So a mix between zelda and risk of rain 2.
No, please leave. This game will be regarded as peak and only peak
Risk of Rain 3
Been waiting for this for ages.
The UI looks awfully similar to fortnite
Too bad it's PC only...
Sorry but this looks uninspired and generic. I don't get it.

What are some better examples of this genre?
