I love my Holley Sniper Stealth EFI. Easy to setup. Great throttle response. Wakes up the motor.

Yeah no complaints except it wasn’t for me. I thought I’d get a lot from it.

I bought a carby for my 62 on Ebay about 4years ago, $160 or there abouts, runs great, fuel on long distance about 15 to 16L at GVM at around 90 real kmh (speedo's are notorious lyers), in the bush about 20 or more depending.
The most perfomance I got out of the thing is using a set of headers and a 2.5" exhaust, 1 straight through muffler (gets the thing reving properly, dont be scared to rev it to just under redline they love it, fuel use however falls in the crapper) and to change the timing curve. (Advance weights 2.5 milimeter ahead of normal retard. (Can use 2 to 2.5mm wire around the natural stop of the weights or weld) The total advance stays as standard. Springs stay standard. Take off is much crispier)
Mine is a "86 3F carb, auto, Sahara with 33"x 12.50 tyres over 700.000km on the engine. Ive owned for 25 years. Engine runs like new!

This is very helpful, I've been back and forth about doing this(the Holley) or doing a om606 swap on my 60. Its that $2k vs $5-6k battel and power vs originality.

@@soelost1313 things are a lot more expensive in Aus haha. Plus the conversion rate is through the roof at the moment. So 900us is close to 1300aud.

If you could do it over again, what would you choose for fuel delivery? I have a 4x4 w/ 22R and am trying to figure out what to do for my fuel delivery

      Great question.
      Probably an in tank pump.
But in all honesty, I’d do an engine swap.

I don’t understand the problems you’re having off road. It’s coming unplugged? The connections seem pretty solid.

Hey dude. Sorry for the late response.
Yes, exactly. The screen kept coming undone. The cable came loose.

i wouldnt bother even though i love it, a proper hho cell on a non O2 sensor engine is better, fsr lower emissions than efi, 20% better economy about the same in power, but its not set n forget and you need basic electrical knowledge, its old old technology. i get told all the time it doesnt work. if that was the case we wouldntve been using them for the last 4 decades.

I agree, the holy is better if you want originality. Otherwise I’d go something else

Before was 26-26 litres per 100ks. After was as low as 17-20 and as high as 25l fully loaded on the highway
