And this is an outfit Mihrimah looks amazing in. Soft, darker, elegant, muted. Someone finally realized she’s a Soft Summer color type (Soft Autumn maybe) and bright blue and pink dresses she wore in the season 3 were literally killing her.
Colors were chosen according to your age and marital status. Bright colors for unmarried/young mothers, and dark colors for older women. Basically before and during your childbearing years you wore bright colors. After your childbearing years you wore darker colors. It’s why Hurrem dresses went from bright red/green to dark red/green.

Especially because they didn’t change actresses for Mihrimah, so they really needed to make her look like a teen (in the beginning) and then more mature. And they don’t use a lot of make up in MC like they did in MCK, for example. So the way to make these changes in age apear very clearly is through outfits, accessories, and hairstyles.

She didn't have to bow to her aunt, her aunt had to bow to her, as did Mustafa's mother, she is above them in status as the sultan's daughter. Everyone standing there except her brother should've bowed to her when she arrived/they arrived and left.
It was very nice how she bowed to sultan. It was an amazing manifastation of the faith in his recovery.

When Sultan Suleiman later takes the Janissary Commander's head it was to show Sehzade Mustafa where he went wrong. Taking the Commander's head shows Sultan Suleiman's representative has to be shown loyalty and respect, it's deference for the Sultan's choice.
It was his ignorance to those around him and his willingness to please them that got him. 😣😣
Apart from his useless aunties, relation to the "Lion Tamer" Ibrahim Pasha and stupid decisions. At the end Hurrem Sultan only put the final touch of icing on that cake 🍰

Mustafa was no sultan. Suleyman actually did home a favor by taking his life, before he was murdered or shamelessly humiliated by the so-called followers of his.
Finally, bravo mihrimah!!! One of the few powerful scenes of mihrimah, no one else deserves honor and value in there, only Suleiman, everyone else in that room should feel shame for themselves.

Mahidevran was never Haseki. The title Haseki was created for Hürrem when Suleiman married her. Suleiman never married Mahidevran. No one before Hürrem held the title Haseki.

historically speaking, no. the term haseki was created for hurrem by suleiman, meaning hurrem was the first person in the ottoman empire (and probably the only i’m not sure about that) to be called that. i don’t know why they refer to mahidevran as haseki in the drama but she obviously wasn’t that.
