- Hi everyone,
I finally finished my journal of completed Margarete Miller #CWP2023 assignments this afternoon and thought I'd share a flip through ....enjoy.
Thanks so much for watching and I hope you'll join me each Monday when I tackle the weekly assignment prompts for Margarete's #CW2024 challenge.
Hugs C xx
Oh Carol, what a treasure. Lovely to see it again and all the little things that made it so special. Thank you for sharing
You are so welcome. Thank you for watching, Anne. Hugs C xx
OMG, this is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING Carol ... you should be very proud of yourself - the amount of work you've put into these collages is truly amazing and I just ADORE your cover. Thank you so much for all the inspiration and the fabulous memories.
Awww thanks so much Sis. Bless you. Email on its way soonest. BIG hugs C xx
You have an impeccable eye for these challenges. I learn so much from watching you. TFS❤
Lisa, that really is so kind of you to think so. I just enjoy pitting my wits against the weekly assignment prompts to see what I can come up with and then to work them into some sort of cohesive collage. Keeps me out of mischief....lol. Hugs C xx
Enjoyed your flip through immensely Carol, as it was lovely to revisit everything you put together last year and to see them all bound together in a beautiful, collaged journal.... Fab!
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment. Bless you. Hugs C xx

Hi carol, your planner book is fabulous !!!!! So much hard work in there, hugsxxx
Awww bless you, Tina. It literally took me all year to complete but it was such fun to do that #2023CWP challenge last year. MMs got me hooked on collaging now.....lol. BIG hugs C xx
Hi it’s beautiful
I remember the prompt s and videos thanks for sharing. It’s nice to see them all at once❤
Hi Bernie, so lovely to hear from you. Have to say I enjoyed seeing them all together too.
I do the weekly assignments and then pop them away until I'm ready to bind them into a journal. When I'm doing that I'm focussed on the process and not really 'revisiting' the assignments. So it's fun for me too, seeing them again during the flip- through. TFW & BIG hugs from me dear friend. C xx

I paused to see the details, so I could catch all the prompts ❤️

Many many thanks, Donna. So kind of you to say and I'm thrilled you liked it. TFW. Hugs C xx

Beautiful!❤
Thank you so much and for watching too. Hugs C xx
This was so good going back through and seeing all the pages you created. I kept saying 'oh, yes, I remember that one'!
I was doing exactly the same thing in my head as I did the flip thro..... along with, 'oh my goodness I remember how hard that one was to pull together!' 🤣 TFW Jenifer and hugs , as always, from me. C xx

I so enjoy everything you create and find myself re-watching for inspiration. Curious to learn how you store your papers and images that you are able to find them easily for each new prompt. Originals? Digital? Both?
Hi Elaine thanks so much for that lovely comment. I'm really thrilled and very flattered you can find some inspiration in what I make...bless you.
I'm always on the hunt for images or pieces that I think might just come up in MM's prompts. If I see something then I pop it in a little A5 plastic folder (now two actually). The rest of my prompt pieces are either spotted online and printed off or in books I have in my craft stash. I don't generally use digitals for collaging but I certainly would if I spotted something in one of my previously bought digital kits that fit an assignment prompt one week. I LOVE working with original, vintage papers because generally have the best calligraphy.
I desperately try not to hoard these but occasionally I will have a special one that I'll print and use for my collage piece, rather than use the original. I hope that helps a little but if not let me know. Hugs C xx
Amazing
Thank you so much for leaving that lovely comment, bless you. Hugs C xx
Carol, this journal is absolutely stunning! I love how you have matching journals…such treasures. I totally love your style of collage and isn’t it interesting how we don’t like a collage in process, but later discover that it’s not so bad after all. I have done the same. BTW you have some marvelous images too!❤❤❤❤TFS 🥰
Thanks you for such a beautiful comment, bless you. Those encyclopaedias were just perfect for using as my MM collage journals and I've another to one side to use for my 2024 assignments when they're done. I think we're our hardest critics, don't you? I frequently look at a finished collage and think it's rubbish but then it eventually grows on me....lol. For me half the battle is finding the right prompt pieces to use.If I rush and just grab something then I'm usually in for a whole heap of trouble when I try to create a cohesive collage......lol. BIG hugs C xx
Yes finding the best prompts is the hardest part for me too. I looked for the tutorial on how you make your MM journal and I couldn’t find it. Would you share the link or tell me the title. I think I know how you made it but wanted to look at the video to make sure. Hugs right back to you🥰
Hi, here's the link

I was kindly given a MM planner by a friend to encourage me to participate but it was just too chunky by the end of the year so I rebound it into an old encyclopaedia.... Hope you enjoy the video. If you have any questions at all just shout. More than happy to help or share details. Hugs C xx
Carol that link doesn’t work, it says the page is not available.😔
Oh how strange. If you go to my playlists and look for the MM #CWP2022 videos and the one on rebinding my planner that is the video showing how I've repurposed the encyclopaedia. Might be easier to do it that way but let me know if you still have issues and I'll see if I can resolve it from this end. so sorry about this. C xx
Thank you very much Carol, sorry didn't mean to send the message twice. xx
No worries!
Hi Carol I wouldld love the link on how you made the journal for the MM. challenge please
Hi Pamela, I replied to your other comment giving this information for you, but here is the link again:

Cut and paste it into your browser and it will bring up the video you want. It's called 'rebinding my planner' but if you watch it through it's all about taking the planner apart and creating bindings for the completed 2022 collage assignments so they can be bound into an old book. You don't have to use an old book, as I did. You could create your own covers and spine. It was just easier for me to use what I had to hand and that was an old Encyclopaedia. Hope this helps. Hugs C xx
