- Hi everyone,
This is my collage for week 29 of the challenge being hosted by Margarete Miller this year ( see below for details, if the #2024CW challenge is new to you and/or if you’re interested in taking part).
The prompts set for this assignment were as follows:
1 ‘Something related to a sport or a physical activity' ~ I chose an image of
a woodland glade filled with wild animals. How it that related to a
physical activity? Well, I'd walk there every day if I could find such a
beautiful woodland glade and walking is a physical activity, right!
2. ‘Anything that starts with G’ ~ I chose an image of a girl who just
happens to be gardening.
3. ‘A clock or watch’ ~ A sundial is a clock that tells the time by the sun, so
that was my choice for this prompt.
4. ‘Something sharp’ ~ My gardening girl is holding a spade and they have
sharp edge for digging down deep into the soil.
5. ‘A colour associated with Spring' ~ For me there is no other colour that
depicts Spring better than yellow.... I went with that.
Bonus ‘A candy wrapper or cough drop wrapper’ ~ I chose the former and used the last wrapper I'd save from last Xmas.

My finished assignments are more picture collages rather than the ones that MM does. I know that but I'm having fun playing with all the prompts each week and I kind of figured it was my journal so doing what makes me happy is the important thing. TFW and have a great week, Linda. Hugs C xx

As always I'm thrilled you liked it Pat. Working in the wrapper was a bit of a nightmare as I'd boxed myself into a corner by leaving it's placement so late on in the composition but in the end it works to make the girl stand out a bit better from the woodland background, I think. TFW and big hugs from me. C xx

Pretty Carol. I like the circles of the sweet treat wrapper behind the girl. I was hoping you would use the flowers with the yellow and orange too. And the sundial is a brilliant answer for the clock prompt. 🥰
oh that sweetie wrapper was a nightmare to work in .... left it a little late and then 'boxed' myself in with what I could do with it. Think it worked in the end and highlighted my girl who was a little lost against the background. It was fun to 'play' with the prompts again this week. Looking forward to seeing your take on them. Mmmmmm, I wasn't too sure how this one was going to end up with the addition of that gold wrapper but in true Carol style you saved it by adding those extra flowers ... well done, I shouldn't have doubted you, lol. TFS.
Have to say I was with you on the doubt issue. Working in that wrapper was a nightmare and I'm not so sure it works in the end but at least it makes that gardening girl stand out from the woodland background better.
