Heyo, good question! Thankfully for cameras its unified with the quarter screw, and on the top is also the bigger screw for handles if you need that. But i know some smallrig accesories have these circle mounts for side handles for example, it doesnt have that. 🤔🤔 You should check it with the specific accesory you want to put on it. Hi, yeah based on the dimensions the cage should fit, however I am not sure the matte box will be very effective. It will depend on the lens you will use. Hey ! I bought one recently with a canon m50 and my problem is that sometimes when i use the follow focus, my camera is rotating a little. You're right, it should. However then it couldn't be universal. I didn't have a problem with this, if you move the matte box a bit behind the lens, but if it makes a problem you can use black tinfoil. Or regular sunshade made for your lens 👌

Hey Casey, yes M50 II is a fairly small camera it will fit with no problem. However keep in mind the lens might be a bit low depending on the adapter you use. I think I use the 75-300mm in the video, no? It's not too long, so no worries about that. PS; the matte box will probably not help you for sun with a telephoto lens, so it's just for aesthetics.

i just bought it, but i dont know if could be my vintage lens, but the follow focus in some areas doesnt stay in the dented strip and it bumps... and feels a lillte bit hard. have you noticed something similar? but i gotta say, its a great super budget rig cage, makes que recording session so easy! i think the only downside is that you cannot mount or unmount things fast. cause some parts needs to be screw, but its a minor thing. im happy!

Heyo, the camera in the video is definitely bigger than GX85. i persinally have a G80 and it fits fine, it may actually be too small for the lens and the lens hood. But nothing without a DIY fix. 👍👍

Spend 200€ and get a Smallrig kit instead. Just get a camera-specific cage, tophandle and a plate for rods should you need those (you probably don't). Lose the Matbox and the flimsy followfocus. You don't need those, and if you really really do, you're a "professional" and need spend more or rethink your priorities when buying gear.
Actually, there is. But increase the price (maybe) $50 You just need to source the individual pieces yourself which isn’t too big of a deal if you’re not lazy. Rigged up my A7iii for just under $240 minus the matte box as I find those unnecessary for my particular style of shooting. Nonetheless, great video review. Wanted to see if I overspent on my Smallrig material but Smallrig definitely takes the cake for their build quality, functionality, and durability
Hmm that's a good question. It is not a gimbal, so It does not matter where the weight is located. But if you mean like a really big lens, i.e. 70-200mm f2.8, which have their own mount, I suppose you could mount the LENS inside the cage. If it would work with the follow focus and matte box, I think you'd need to check the diameters from the steel rods. I can maybe check it for you, if you tell me what you need. ✅

I highly doubt this will work for a Cannon GX10. Thete is virtually no camcorder cages.

It is inside 15.6cm wide (with the screw being 5.6-6.2cm from the left side) and 9.5cm tall. Spend 200€ and get a Smallrig kit instead. Just get a camera-specific cage, tophandle and a plate for rods should you need those (you probably don't). Lose the Matbox and the flimsy followfocus. You don't need those, and if you really really do, you're a "professional" and need spend more or rethink your priorities when buying gear.
Is there a smallrig kit with all those for 200$? That would actually be a pretty good deal 🤔
Actually, there is. But increase the price (maybe) $50 You just need to source the individual pieces yourself which isn’t too big of a deal if you’re not lazy. Rigged up my A7iii for just under $240 minus the matte box as I find those unnecessary for my particular style of shooting.
Nonetheless, great video review. Wanted to see if I overspent on my Smallrig material but Smallrig definitely takes the cake for their build quality, functionality, and durability
What if you're using a heavy lens, and you need a support for it?
Hmm that's a good question. It is not a gimbal, so It does not matter where the weight is located.
But if you mean like a really big lens, i.e. 70-200mm f2.8, which have their own mount, I suppose you could mount the LENS inside the cage.
If it would work with the follow focus and matte box, I think you'd need to check the diameters from the steel rods. I can maybe check it for you, if you tell me what you need. ✅
