As a part of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, citizens of other countries, representatives of different nations, cultures and religious traditions are fighting side by side with Ukrainians against the invaders.
In the first episode of the new Azov Legion series, a U.S. Army Marine Corps veteran and current staff sergeant of one of the Azov companies, call sign "Frodo," tells the brigade's sergeant, Arsenii "Process" Fedosiuk, about his motivation to join the unit and fight Russian aggression far from his home, and debunks common myths about Azov constructed by Kremlin propaganda.

There are so many Americans (and other nationalities) who post on social media from their armchairs, pretending to be "experts" on the war 😢 So Frodo's story makes a difference, because he is there on the frontline and really is an expert (though he would probably say he is not).

Good interview. I’m surprised the Russian propaganda formerly associated with Azov is even mentioned anymore, as that story fell apart the minute Russia released Azov commanders to Turkey and swapped the first Azov POW’s. Semper Fi.
I am a brown skinned American, and in April I travelled to Ukraine to see it all for myself. I met a guy from AZOV there and we talked for a while. Nice guy, definitely not a nazi.
@@mikska when you say Marine instructor are you referring to the interview with WillyOAM, because he wasn't training AZOV. Boarder guards also aren't AZOV.

I have been saying the same for ages ,lessons from the past werent taken,the least we could do, would be to learn from all the blood given for all the soldiers that put their lives in risk,we all own them that to honour their sacrifice specially all the wounded and the fallen.

The whole interview was excellent, but the last couple of minutes where Froso talks about why he fights and why it's important for the world to understand why it should support Ukraine in this fight just gave me chills. He sums it up perfectly.

You guys mentioned "the bell" in the US military. what year referring to is the way that someone can withdraw from US Navy SEAL training.
if a trainee decides that they do not choose to continue the training to become a seal, they ring the bell. Many people have rung the Bell but later applied to a new training class and completed it to become a SEAL. Ringing the bell doesn't necessarily mean "I quit", it it's more like "I'm unable to continue at this time".
A US Navy SEAL does not ring the bell. The bell is rung by those who have made the choice to not continue, and ringing the bell is, by tradition, how they signal the instructors and fellow candidates of that choice
Azov is what real nationalism looks like. Not some German mid century cosplay. 💪
