I agree sometimes we need to know when to draw the line and protect ourselves vs others. I would probably tell the person send the evidence then block them both and go about my life.

Ayo, I'd be devastated if my fiance wasn't 200% sure about marrying me. I have no issue dating a [bi, pan, etc] man, but I would just need him to be honest with me. Now gay is a whole other thing because that means he's not into me at all. I wouldn't even be violent towards him because again I have no issue with different orientations. You love who you love. But if he wasn't honest, was sneaking around, and gave me something, I'm most definitely whooping ass. I don't play with loyalty. Either you loyal to me or we're through. Period.

Depends on so many factors, the magnitude of each factor, in a given scenario. The bottom line: Be prepared to lose that friend, because you’re gonna get blamed for everything. I did that for a really good friend knowing that she would choose the dude, but at least she would know the truth. She married him any way. Two years later, she contacts me to tell me that they’re getting a divorce. She went into great detail on how abusive the marriage was.
2nd story: I had a friend LG+. He had told me that he had been married to a woman. I was really surprised. They were married for something like five years. He knew he was LG+ since he was a little boy but he needed to hide. It was sad bc she wanted to have a traditional family and children. He took those years from her. He said he didn’t feel any remorse. We’re no longer friends.

I had a friendship end because a woman whom I treated like a younger sister for years, nothing I wouldn’t do for her turned on me’ and never spoke to me again after I had to speak to her, about her older daughter coming on to “ my under age daughter. I did it in a sensitive manner. But she never spoke to me again afterwards.😒

@@SFGal9 Yes, I would want to know. I just wouldn't want it to be true. It's extremely important for her to know because:
1. In many cultures it's socially, legally, and financially difficult to divorce
2. They were literally going to cheat on her to test the waters
3. Marriage isn't just leveling up a relationship, it's choosing someone as your lifelong partner whether that's still the case in 5 years or not.
There are many more reasons as well

Are you crazy? The whole issue is that he made a PASS at him. Him being whatever was not the prompting event - that was information that came out due to HIS attempts to cheat!
You can't be mad at being "outed" if the person was wrong from the beginning - not bc of the sexuality but bc he was ready to risk it all by not only cheating but cheating with his FIANCEE'S best friend!!

Does Han not know what Bisexual is? He could be Bisexual, hence him having both feelings towards Sua and Eric/men. So, his feelings towards Sua are true and real, but he sometimes gets swayed by other men which makes him question his feelings, but him liking other people doesn't mean his feelings towards Sua aren't real, they are real, but he just knows the term "gay" and thinks if he likes a man that means he can't/doesn't like women.
This. In Asia people really don't think about Bisexuality as a thing, or are usually not even aware of it for that matter. People literally think gay or straight, nothing else.

I'm Asian, Infact I'm West Asian (We are also called Arabs) I think it just depends on the country because in Korea the LGB community wasn't fond of and the people in that community had limited resources so they probably don't know all the sexualities and might just know of straight lesbian and gay. However, some do know what bisexual is but its very little. I think it's because in Korea nobody really talks about bisexuality so not a lot of people know of it and because Korea is a conservative country you won't see people talking about it randomly and openly as well. Technically their knowledge is limited lol

Ok this guy was trash and not it but we really need more LGBTQ+ stories here cause I feel like its hard to really see that side of experience ESPECIALLY the AMBM couples or dates, there's already AMBW stories or just POC dating Koreans in general stories. But its so few and far between to really hear first hand accounts. Me for example Im Black and working on pursuing the teaching program route in Japan first and at some point Korea but I'm already pretty aware on the idea that there probably won't be much dating cause from what I've heard they really don't like Black guys. And if they do they only want one thing from us If you know what I mean. gay or not if you are faithful you are faithful meaning that han tried to cheat on sue. Just because he didnt get down with eric that doesnt mean he wound not be up to do it with another dood or wamen. Also I wonder why didnt han tell sue about these thoughts he was having. Sue is so close to han that i imagine han would be able to confide in sue about this senssitive topic. Because imo there could be reasons why han didnt tell sue he wanted to hook up with other people, maybe han really is a cheater, maybe he just wants to get married to tik thay societal check box that people must get married, or maybe he does have some feelings for sue that are true love but not enough to find commitment and exclusivity with sue. Maybe han prefers open relationships over monogamous relationships. We will never know unless han talks about why he hid wanting to be with other people from sue.

That is such a hard situation, especially if you really see the other person who has no idea as a good friend. I think he handled it correctly. If he blatantly told her, fiancee had already determined he was hetero, and she confronted the fiancee who denied it, then Eric would risk losing a friend just trying to do the right thing. If the fiancee was confronted and confirmed he was bi, gay, Eric's friend could have broken down, fallen apart and blamed it all on Eric. Best case scenario would be the friend losing a fiancee but being grateful to Eric, but let's be honest, the chances are low. Better to be there for her as a friend and just kind of watch out for her and let her know he's always there for her if she ever needs to talk and leave it alone. Things will come to light eventually.
Hmmm 🤔, this is a tricky situation. On one hand, you want to look out for your friend, which is admirable. On the other hand, it’s not anyone’s place to be force their idea of “living your truth” onto someone and outing others. I don’t think Eric has the right to out Han but he does have an obligation, as a friend, to have the “Are you sure this is what you want?, Is he the right one?, Do you really know him?” conversation. I think this is a conversation that should be had by all friends with any friend thinking about marriage, heterosexual or homosexual.
The fact is homosexuality, is not viewed the same in Asian cultures as it is currently in western cultures. In families and in society, there still is a negative stigma, open discrimination, and in a lot of cases, out right animosity towards being gay especially for Asian men. Having lived in Asia and seeing it first hand, it feels like how gay people were viewed in the early 80’s in the U.S. The biggest difference is that the animosity isn’t direct and open, like it was in the U.S. Instead, it is publicly subtle, but privately brutal! By western standards, Han was wrong, but I understand that he’s trying to discover his “truth” in a society that really doesn’t care about his truth.
Another thing I’ve witnessed firsthand living overseas is the fact that, surprisingly, many Asian women ARE very aware that their husbands/boyfriends/partners, cheat. Many don’t care if it’s with other women or with men. For many of those women, as long as it doesn’t become known or bring embarrassment, they focus more on their individual benefits from the relationship. So it’s incorrect to assume Sua didn’t already know or that she didn’t have the conversation with Han.
I don't want to be that type of person but those people weren't spreading hate they were speaking the TRUTH! Love your story times though am always watching ✌

He should not have tried to get Eric to engage in anything if he wants to be sure why not find someone else to make sure before he marries her hurts her and himself. As a girl who's been saying "straight men don't exist" since early high school, this is the last thing I needed to see. It started with this exact situation, me trying to tell multiple friends that their bfs were gay and them writing me off completely, just to come back crying months later. Then it happened to my mom twice. And when I decided to prove my point by dating men myself, it happened to me EIGHT times. So yeah there's a lot women have to learn about men...

I think it depends since Eric was close with her it was good but I remember a girl we used to be friends but we soon become acquaintances her new boyfriend was cheating on her with a girl in my class. I couldn't tell her because we were no longer close so she might take it the wrong way so the only thing I could do is tell the girl in my class that she is talking with a boy who has a whole girlfriend. But the girl in my class didn't take it seriously so I don't know what happened now.
