I love this format Tom. It feels honest, informative and conversational without the obnoxiousness that comes from a lot of Disney vloggers.
I agree with a lot of other people’s comments here. Please film some of the “living in Japan” aspects of your trip: groceries, transportation, eating at restaurants, and culture shocks.

Really like the walking the pedestrian paths segments. I love seeing the infrastructure of a city, not sure if that's 100% the right word. A lot of travel vlogs skip the 'boring' stuff, and that's fair, but you don't get the bigger picture, the real character of a place, without those.

This is one of most interesting, important, and overall most valuable WDWNT videos I think Tom has put out. You know you see so many Tokyo Disney vids, but very few of the actual inter workings of the where, the when and really the HOW to do Tokyo Disney. It’s like this allusive animal that even the most savvy WDW or DL guru has a tough time unraveling… Best of luck to you Tom and the rest of WDWNT! Looking forward to coming to a live show some time now as I relocate from Anaheim to Tampa.

You aren’t negative at all, or just full of nostalgia. I’m 36, a FL native, and remember the Disney you remember. The magic was real back then. We went to WDW several times a year in the 90’s. It was wonderful. I’m so excited to see your videos from Tokyo, and hope to visit those parks myself!

Wow, I love that little apartment. I hope that someday I have a tiny house in the trees like that. And just wandering around the stores looks so fun. And a monorail! So, so cool. Yeah, I love monorails, which addiction came from... you guessed... Disneyland in the 60's.

We felt the same when we visited Tokyo Disney - it feels like WDW used to, back when cast members were allowed to spend time and energy caring about the parks and visitors. We noticed when leaving Disney Sea one night (after dark) that people were waving from the balconies of the hotel overlooking the entrance using their phones! And then people in the parks were waving back using their phones! If you could show that during a vlog, I’m sure viewers would love it.
Also, when you go to 7-11 or Family Mart, check out the choco ice cream bar. It is a giant rectangle and will change your life. Best.thing.ever!

Tom I immediately saw the worker waving and thought it was awesome! I get what you are saying about the magic. In February 2010 we were in WDW (we live in CT) it actually snowed in upper parts of Florida. With the wind it was 28-32 degrees in the parks, it was insane. The cast members were sooo nice to us in every park. They could've been miserable with us and instead they creating magic everywhere. Even extra surprise desserts at meals, special inside meet and greets. It was magic. Now the parks are too busy. But sometimes we have some magic. During the hurricane in September all the cast members in Kidani village were magical too.
Loved the video Tom! I'd love to see a lot more videos like this. It felt much more personal. Keep up the great work and we look forward to seeing much more of your Japan Adventure!
I like this style of vlog, and always like hearing your opinions about customer service in the parks, as well as notes about upkeep, repair and cleanliness. I hope you'll enjoy developing a strong combini preference during your time in Japan, and figure out some helpful hacks for living comfortably while tall over there.
