Peter The only thing I can tell you about that drum set is that it was made in 1982 and there was a movie called Making Contact and it was in the kids bedroom in the movie. Pretty cool to see.
I'm from Ohio and was a youngster in the 80's and can remember seeing the pacmania drums several times in my days. My wife is a few years older and she said the same thing. Sad thing I seen them on the trash lawn several times in my life.
Peter I been looking for your newest videos & there's none. Peter don't let a few no good people get you from doing what you do best. Peter we need some new videos..
I'm not sure if anyone made this comment already, but Pete you made a point to show the 1982 Bally midway on the drumset. That doesn't mean that is when that drum set was made. Bally probably has no affiliation with Ohio Art. That marking was something they just added on the bass drum for design.
Nice find. Pac-man was made by Namco though not Bally-Midway they distributed them in USA. Fun Fact : Pacman was actually based on hockey. He is meant to be a Puck. Namco finished making it and were about to ship and some guy said hang on we are going to put these in arcades, scratched the right vertical line of the P; Puckman now started with an F. So they changed it to Pacman. Also if you want to play it rally style there is a map if you just follow direction your co-driver says, you need no skill to clock it. Yes I used to work in the game. Made heaps up until the home consoles just got too good. Daytona was making 2k a day. per twin, knew a guy with 2 lots of 8 linked. 14 k a week for a ~35k machine, good ROI, queue was 10 people deep to play. After release they were worth ~10k more than new for years.
Oh my, Mickey is worth some CHANGE!! good pick-up, right buyer may pay anywhere from $300-$1,000 .. Harrrrd to find item! nice score! In the 90's I had the same "pants drop" guy... ours had a T-Shirt on that said "don't be an ass" 🙂, cool memory!
Drum set looks like JC Penney or sears 1980's Christmas catalog. Came in Disney characters also. So Maybe sears? Just an observation. I spent many hours in the toy catalogs when I was young.
Love your videos and all the cool and interesting stuff that passes through your place. Haters gonna hate, but don't let the fools get to you. You are an honest and fair businessman and that is rare enough these days. Love, peace and positivity for you and yours. Look forward to your videos and please keep them coming.
I think the date (1982) is when Bally Midway started NOT when that Drum set was made. That is just simulating how the game looked on the Screen when you would play it. The Bottom of the Screen would show the Manufacturer of the Arcade Game (Bally Midway) and the Date. They were originally called Midway then became Bally Midway in 1982 - hence the date.
Peter you rule! Im laughing so hard over here it hurts, especially on the moth guy exhibit with c more butts pants going up and down and you laugh while talking. Im in lombard and have a bunch of stuff to bring in and have been watching forever and need to make the trip up there. See ya soon! great show awesome job!!!!!
Ohio Art made Etch-A-Sketch too. I definitely would not have done an auction for such a rare item. That's the kind of thing you list for $5k and accept offers. I remember seeing that set as a child, Pac-Man was licensed to death back in the day
Pete you don't know me and that's okay so don't take this the wrong way, but I love your channel, your store, your expertise, and your business acumen. Don't stop doing your videos on account of miserable reactionaries in your comments. You raise the rent of this whole platform just by being here.
Not sure about all the drum comments..was heavily into musical instruments when younger and drums especially.. all the stuff with the dates are for the copyrights of the pac man brand not the drums themselves.. saw a set of these for sale in brook mays music store in 83' for around $125.. do not know if it was a promotion item but they had it set up for sale and was on display for the kids to be able to bang around on.. I wanted one because pac man was the thing back then.. there used to be a stool with it and they offered up drumsticks(small ones for kid) as part of the set. I hope it does well as it is a very collectible item as I have not seen one in a few decades.
That date doesn't necessarily mean it was made then. It usually references the trademark creation date, which in Pacmans case was 1982. It definitely looks like something made in that period though. That might do amazing over at Heritage auctions, but im sure they take a nice cut...not that ebay doesn't lol
Gr8 video Pete..😍 I miss your regular awesome content you put out every week..🤔 Don't let anyone get you down because your a great person and treat everyone with respect..😍 That Pac Man toy drum set is really cool..😮 Love it.. Take care..👍💕🔥👊
As a kid 35 or so years ago, my crazy aunt bought the mr moonie guy and we put it in the back window on a roadtrip up north. Kept pumping away and eventually some crazy guy pulled us over to complain. Good times 😂
Pete, what is going? I have following for all this time, but, you and your channel for years but only have 268 subscribers after all this time? what am I missing?
I've been looking for a decent sized safe for the past six months but everyone in this state seems to want $600-$800 for it. Meanwhile, guy walks in there with safe he got free and and can't even find buyers.
Seymour Buns was funny! thats going to be interesting when someone catches you pulling the pants down mid conversation and asks why you are suddenly doing it lol
Good to see you back, Pete. Don't let the hate get to you, my favourite channel on RUclips.
I'm LOVING the latest addition to the shop...Mr.C. more buns!!😅
Peter The only thing I can tell you about that drum set is that it was made in 1982 and there was a movie called Making Contact and it was in the kids bedroom in the movie. Pretty cool to see.
7 :42 in the movie is where the drum set makes an appearance Horror_ Collector87 was the RUclips channel 👊🏼
That pac man drum set is extraordinarily rare. Should sell in the thousands.
Lmao. You see them for sale for £800.
I'm from Ohio and was a youngster in the 80's and can remember seeing the pacmania drums several times in my days. My wife is a few years older and she said the same thing. Sad thing I seen them on the trash lawn several times in my life.

How much did you get for the pacman drum set? that really cool.
That slow-mo of the butterfly with the toy dropping his pants in the background had me dying 🤣🤣
You are a good fair and honest man. I can tell.
You got me rolling on the floor laughing with that Seemore Butts calling out the jokers! haha!
That Pac man drum set was made in the 80's. Seen it on commercials. For toddlers.
It's supposed to have a small chair too.
Pete is a good businessman

I think you are correct, The Pac Man Drum Kit should do well with the Bally name and Date on it. Thanks Pete you never disappoint
I think Ohio Art is the same company that used to make the Etch-A-Sketch!
Thanks for the review. Glad to see you guys back on.
i love your attitude pete

Love the pants drop brother it's been needed for many months if not years
If you can find a copy of this it may help, not sure if its in there, “Pac-Man Collectibles” (Schiffer Book, August, 2002) written by Deborah Palicia
Welcome back Pete!😊
The moon guy is a great gag! 😂🎉

Hi I watch your videos all the time .I can not find the pac man drum set when I look it up on eBay nothing comes up in the search.
Love the mooning toy haha. We love ya Pete!
Ohio Art made some drum sets but it’s most frequently sold item is the Etch A Sketch.
I miss all your videos you're great
Love the channel mate !
Welcome back Peter.
😆 ..The Bird 🐦 is jealous 👍
1982 doesn't mean anything that is when Pacman first came out. Kids drum set could have been released 2002 20th year since pacman first released.
Shirley you know Ohio Art is Etch A Sketch. Thanks and cheers and dont call me Surely.
Welcome back, we missed you........
Enjoy these, glad to see you back!
