The process of buying a property and gaining residency in Bulgaria changed massively for us Brits.
Brexit has made us 3rd world nationals stopping all our rights to freedom of travel and automatic residency in other European countries.
However we have still decided that leaving the UK full-time is definitely the right decision for our family and is still our long term goal.
Due to the 90 day tourist visa we are currently living between GB and BG and this video is just to keep all our subscribers up to date.
Anyone who is interested in how we sorted the cash transactions to fund the buying of the property and of course spending money while in BG we use Wise.

It was exactly the same in the UK. Back in 2001, when I came to live in London from Bulgaria( at that time still not in EU), you could not apply for visa without a bank account and can’t open bank accounts without a visa. But how could you know that before you start taking about this? And I agree with you, the clerks at the counters are often without the correct attitude towards the customers/clients.
Even after Bg entered the EU, it was difficult to open a bank account in London, because you needed to have become self employed, to have registered your address, and at the same time they didn't give you any jobs, cause you didn't have a bank account. It was like a circle.
I live in France, it's the same. Very hard to open bank accounts
It's exactly the same in turkey
So frustrating, but I knew from the start that customer service here was brutal.😢😂🤣
Totally agree with you that customer service is very, very bad. And yes, they don't speak English. If they spoke English and were polite, they wouldn't work this job. There is a lack of skilled staff in Bulgaria, cause the skillful left the country for more money. So if I were with you, I would have made their day a nightmare for making faces, not saying excuse me, sorry, and here you are.
@@nadyadobreva9904 best thing is I always use as much Bulgarian as I can. It must be good enough as I often get English speaking Bulgarians replying in Bulgarian. At the end of the day I understand they work hard for low wages and must deal with a lot of complaints, but all I wanted was what I had ordered and paid for. 👍❤️🇧🇬
