- I this video I wil make a 64x64 colour display with redstone in minecraft.
This is probably the most satisfying thing I have ever build in minecraft
if you Enjoyed this video Subscribe and leave a like that would mean a lot to me :)

when connecting to a device, you would have to have something to sort the powder for reuse. you don’t want to have to constantly refill the concrete powder slots :)
very cool video tho :0
Yes one way to do that would be to save the state of every pixel by using my shulker data storage for example. But that would really slow it down. It would be nice if dispensers could place sand and concrete powder. Then you could break and then sort the blocks that would be much easier.
indeed that would be nice, but i don’t know how long it’ll be till mojang considers that. powder snow is a perfect working example of it, so it’s only a matter of time hopefully :)
instead of sorting and reusing, what about a concrete duper? could be way easier imo
@@njpotatobomb2593 Thats a good idea, I was thinking about that too. it would probably best to build it in the end.
then you could use wireles redstone to tell the duper wich colour to dupe.
or use two strongholds since one can only dupe 9 colours at a time.
this always felt rather cheaty to me, especially for something like this. but it’s still an option :)
I am just blown away by how far the minecraft community has come with redstone computing. Great video and definitely earned a new subscriber.
Maybe you have seen it, I made a grayscale display using light levels with 2x2 block pixels. Could look better with making the tinted glass easier to see through. If there was colored light in minecraft I think a 3x3 colored pixel would be possible. Figured I would share the idea here since you seem interested in these things.
Frog lights may work
Now we can have Doom 93 in color in vanilla Minecraft. What a time to be alive.
Going to be even better now with the whole entity display stuff they just added.
10 years ago i saw a video of a guy who made a huge RGB Redstone screen display. It was a grid with holes, and behind each hole there would be 3 pistons ,each with a red, green and blue wool. Different pistons would push the right kind of wool in front of the grid. It made a terrible quality display, and the colors wouldn't actually mix, but it was a very good start
Great video, I'm exited for your next projects!
This is an amazing and underrated video! I love the display and I'm excited to see the graphics card! Worth a subscribe :P
Great video! EthosLab made the shulker box display btw
This is so cool! You sir are a redstone innovator
This is pure gold! Loving this❤
I'm so excited to see this working with a full redstone PC
Oh wow! You deserve more recognition! Totally bringing your content right now! Subbed :D
Super cool project! Very well edited vid too. You earned a subscriber today sir. :)
Thank-you very much. I learned more about editing and tried lots of new things this video. So this means a lot :)
Absolutely brilliant!
Damn how have I not discovered your channel sooner, this is insane
dude your content is awesome
I’d love a feature where if you run a comparator into a red stone lamp, it gives the lamp a brightness depending on the red stone strength going into it. Do we could have 15 levels of brightness. Add that to coloured red stone lamps and we can make incredible RGB art
Yeah, sometimes I think I’m decent at redstone cause I can make a few farms without googling tutorials… then I see stuff like this and realize how stupid I am lmao.
Jokes aside, this is incredible, I’d love to see how far you can push this.
youre so underrated youre so smart and this vid is so funny i like and subbed :)
Your kind of genius is the kind i wish i had. Im really interested in this kind of stuff even though i dont really understand it. I feel like an NPC who has become self aware when i watch videos like this.
very nice vid!
Thank you :)

@@MrKorwaldskican u make a version for bedrock pls
I’ve been trying to do this forever. I even stuck myself to 1.12.2 so that I could use the concrete color converter bug to recycle the concrete. I never ended up doing it though
Underrated
o m g, i have no words for this masterpiece
This video put me into a week long journey into developing a map display with more pixels, faster speeds, and an extra color compared to other map displays. Thank you, Mr Korwaldski for putting me through the most annoying experience in my life. Fortunately, its left me develop the fastest 32 pixel display which can be easliy hooked up into a computer at any time. Currently finishing final details and ill upload smthin on it soon tho
Awesome I'm currently working on the video for my map display. Should be finished in a week or two. Ill be interested what you came up with.
I think you can improve the concrete elevator by using aligning the sand in float conditions. Falling sand is in the centre of a block and 0.98 blocks wide, and zeroticking a piston in an entity moves it back 0.01 block. There also is a window the size of a hiv virus where the falling block doesn't collide with anything, but is still influenced by moving slime in the block next to it.
This is very interesting and helpful
Very underrated
good vid, idk how you're so unknown, but i hope more ppl find your channel. c:
Can't wait for the graphics card video
incredible.
The way this builds a new image behind and then pops the old image is pretty much exactly how the rendering cycle in OpenGL works with display buffers LOL
Really cool
We NEED someone to connect this to the CHUNGUS II
i am only at the point of cycling concrete back up, but a colour display was made for Tetris by basically making each pixel a 3x3 space and in each pixel they had a row of red, green, blue then a block back and up the same red green and blue, and then leaving an air block above the bottom row they put red green and blue again
they then used iron trap doors with a texture pack so they were completely black when opened, and completely invisible when closed
each pixel was lined with black concrete, they then powered certain trapdoors to create a colour screen, i saw that in a video on youtube a lil while ago, not sure if it was true or they exadurated the colours on it, but if they were not lying, they made a fairly good Tetris game with different coloured pieces
so basically just a big minecraft printer without turning it into concrete makes sence i used to build printers where you put items in a chest to make the image this is way more impressive tho good job
Super advanced Piston Feed Tape
That's nice. There's just one thing missing in my opinion. Since partial updates would also be possible in this way with just a very small modification of the piston wall (such that extending the pistons below the pixels you want to replace, add concrete powder behind the pixels you want to replace, push the whole wall forward becomes possible) That would make the refresh rate higher, if only a small portion has to change
Thats already posible 6:12
@@MrKorwaldskiWhops, I somehow missed that. I feel kinda stupid now. But anyways, that build is probably the best Minecraft display I've seen so far.
incredible
nice job Mr. K!!
Was thinking about building this on the server. But i don't know if the server could handle it haha.
@@MrKorwaldski LOL i hope its possible, but maybe best not to test the server's limits too much. It already struggles a little bit with all the mods we got going on :(
I will try a smaller version(16x16) first and also only the image cycle mode :)
oh me oh my
You should collab with sammyuri and make Minecraft in Minecraft with Redstone with a Color display
NOICE
An interesting concept perhaps: for a giant map display, use item shadowing to transmit signals from a much smaller central unit to the giant display so you can do cool stuff like lines easier? idk but great project and video
Thanks.
I'm not familiar with Item shadowing, could you explain how that works ?
@@MrKorwaldski Fallen breath and PR0CESS discovered it. Using update suppression, two ItemStack instances can be linked (akin to quantum entanglement). This basically means two slots in any inventory (player's inventory, chest, hopper minecart etc.) can be linked, allowing for signal transmission across infinite distances (dimension-bound IIRC). (They cannot exist an item on the floor; only in an inventory!)
Theoretically, if wiring up individial modules of a machine would be too difficult, laggy, or constraining, those modules could be connected with lots of shadowed items to a central, smaller unit, where the links to each module could be smaller and arranged differently, allowing for more functionality.
Due to update suppression being patched in 1.19 (to the public at least), I'm not sure if entangled items would stay entangled if you created them in older versions and then updated. I'm thinking of making a mod which will create a hotkey to automatically entangle an ItemStack to make making machines like those easier.
TLDR: Quantum entanglement with items allowing for fast + compact transmission; check out Fallen Breath's video on it
Thanks sounds very interesting I will look into that
@@SuperLlama88888 On our server, we use Carpet-Fixes to re-enable it and Carpet-Shadow to stabilize it and add tool-tips with uuid for shadowed pairs
@@SirFake314 Wow cool! Will look into taht.
very good
now you should connect it to that minecraft in minecraft with redstone build
i saw a video of someone making an rgb screen in minecraft using trapdoors, concrete blocks (so like 9x9 pixels blocks i think) and like a redstone computer, you could play videos pretty smoothly, and kinda fast? tho it was only a 0.2hz computer he said you could easily make it faster, tho the colors werent as clear as your concrete screen, since it was way smaller, so it would be cool if you could do something like this too, but bigger lol
now we just need a mod that speeds up tick lengths, and physics objects falling
I’m sure someone may have share with you the rgb displays with trap doors, or I think I’ve seen one with beacons/ stain glass.
I cant wait to use your gpu for this. could you also program tetris on that?! what about if you run out of "ink"? do the powder in the end cycle back too or do they get thrown away?
imagine if mambo made a video game using this
i will buy the entire stock
Helo Minecrafter i will sugest Something to You use the mood that is in almost all the moods that You can claim chunks/zones and force loading them this will rezolv the problem that You have is also a simple chunk loading thing
You blew up fast
now you just need to code an x265 decoder in redstone so you can efficiently store video data
I think you can use beacons with colored glass to change the color of the beam, but when you stack different colors of glass it changes the hex and kinda works like the dyes and I think you can be more precise when using beacons to make a display. You should for sure try to make a display with beacons
I've seen someone do that. But for it to work the pixels were 4x4 with 4x4spacing between pixels. Still very interesting and i might do that one day.
Your nickname sounds very polish to me (atleast me) idk about the others
wow.
For moving concrete up you could have used a bubble elevator
Holy! You're so right.
I've tried to build a similar display in the past but didn't have enough time to finish it.
A bubble column is such an easy solution, yet it's so easily overlooked.
Now combine this with a more powerful gpu and the chungus 2 and play coloured Minecraft
Epic display, but isn’t concrete affected by bubble columns. I think you could have just used a bubblevator to get the concrete back to the top. I might be wrong though.
Could you do something like redstone lamps behind red green and blue stained glass and between the lamps and the colored glass a dimmer (black glass)
Can you make a display using colored sheep pls
Are bubble columns an option for transporting the falling blocks up?
0:51 ok, its weird randomly encountering your own channel in some else's video...
Somehow the falling down images give analogue movie (film) vibes?
I'm ignorant to any of this but could you add variation of intensity of colours using coloured glass?
It wouldn''t be perfect of course but it could give variations of the same block depending on the glass used in front of it.
What resource pack do you use? Looks useful for Redstone
well guess ill have to subsribe
bro had enugh lol 2:00
Daaaamn. How feasible would it be to hook it up to that redstone computer that runs Minecraft? Could we run Minecraft in Minecraft in colour?
Wel with 16 colours you need about 16x more data than a redstone lamp display, so first I would need to build graphics card, and the whole program would need to be rewriten to include colour.
Maybe I should contact @sammyuri, to see if he wants to do a colab.
@@MrKorwaldski you should totally do that! I've never seen anything quite like this, so many possibilities. Have you seen Etho's plans for a 16 colour display using shulker boxes? It's pretty interesting.
I can also see them using something like this with a computer on WaveTech or Scicraft just to display the fullness of their different bulk storage categories or something. I hope lots of people reach out to you for this, it's awesome!
@@MrKorwaldski It'd be cool if redstone builders for hardware such as this teamed up to follow some sort of standard, making everything plug-and-play so average people can build redstone computers as well. One day, if carpet mod and redstone computers both come far enough, I could envision someone installing Gentoo or something onto a minecraft computer, and then installing and running some early version of Minecraft on there.
Have you seen the Argon made by @Torg0000 would love a collab
I do get that for that screen to work he had to use a texture pack to make the trapdoor black upon closing but ig texture pack isn't far from vanilla.
Btw love the work keep it on
Yes I have seen it now, thats also a very nice solution. Thanks :)
@@MrKorwaldski another way would by using certain shaders which changes the colour emitted according to the stained glass but i suppose it wouldn't really work that good because the light would be too faint
You will be famous soon, I know it...
That would be nice I'd love to make youtube my job :)
what resource pack do you use? or if its custom could you upload it to curseforge or something
Its Redstone Tweaks 2.0 | Minecraft Redstone Resource Pack | 1.19.x
ruclips.net/video/jMhlv0AnTmg/видео.html
i cant wait until someone actually does plug this into some 3.3Hz computer :D
Falling concrete powder is an entity, this allows it to travel up a bubble column.
I wish but that will turn it into comcrete
@@MrKorwaldskiIt doesn't turn to concrete as long as it is in it's entity form. It can only turn from powder to concrete in it's block form. I believe that is the case in java and I know that is how it works in bedrock.
I tried shooting the concrete powder in to a bubble colum in entity form and it still turned into a block as soon as it touched the water.
@@MrKorwaldski That surprised me, I'm pretty sure that it at least used to work with 1.12. Sorry about wasting your time with that then. Your screen really is amazing.
2:22 - so... it is e-ink.
I wonder if it is possible to connect to the real life internet using a binary minecraft computer..
if you want to use command blocks then you dont need a complex machine like that for display xD
How do you actually separate the colors again when you use it as a display and not as an electric picture frame
One option would be to save the colour of every pixel in some kind of ram module or graphics card. So you know in which colour storage you have to put it back. But that would mean saving 64x64 blocks x16 colours so for that you would need a 65536 bite storage wich is 8192 byte. (8.2Kb)
It is posible but that wil make the screen slower. But its something I want to explore in the future. That will probably take me several months tho
@Mr_Korwaldski the Redstone computer that ran minecraft in minecraft had a sort of ram module, could that be modified to store color data using the music disks in your newest video?
you look like balter bunior
Now run bad apple on it
slime block tearing at 4:00?
O.o
This isn't a color display.
This is an image cycler.
Not the same thing at all.
It has 2 modes, image cycler and display.
In display mode you can change every pixel individually
But the real question now is... Can it run Crysis?
someone did it before you called 'Torb'
7:00 woooooooooow animation in MC??!?!?! ? with 0000000000.1hz... woooooow so fast XD
Its about 1 frame per minute. So 1/60 Hz haha
@@MrKorwaldski to be honest this is so advanced. for mc this is fast. and multicolor.
Bro torb made it
The thing was you don't have control on what display you want to show it's just cycle the preset image you give so this is not a display this is just a sand machine sorry my dude but it's the true me as a computational redstoner I will never use this since it can't display I want to display without preemaking each frames
Torb.
why do real monitor not work like that?!?!!? XD
Man kann den *Deutschen* akzent etwas krass hören, xD
I wanted to see rgb 😢
Ok, that was a cool video. But why do you have a 3060ti with a Ryzen 5 1600???Not even the X version.
Minecraft is a CPU Heavy game. Your GPU will only use like 10%
You made a printer
Gacha life in minecraft, wow
