Best of Naruto is entire original series. Then in Shippuden: Sakura vs Sasori, Tenchi bridge arc, and the Pain arc. It's downhill from there, although Kage Summit arc has it's moments

Well MK did said that Naruto is inspired by DB. Just like DB, Naruto goes from ninja stuff to alien when its time to go outside of earth. No wonder MK also take that bad side of DB as inspiration for Boruto. I just hope he's being consistent with making Naruto inspired by DB so in the next sequel Naruto will take the MC mantle again, just like Goku taking back the MC spot from Gohan in Buu saga.

But I do agree that once they decided that OP shinobi were not enough and moved on to literal God-like Aliens just so they can increase the power level of the villains even more, it all becomes stupidly ridiculous. At this point, I can’t wait until Boruto’s grandson eventually enter the multi galactic shinobi tournament or something like they do it in dragon ball lol.

This time in Naruto was really good. Every time the Sharingan appeared, the viewer knew that the situation was very serious and worrying. You could feel the tension in the air and how Kakashi knew the danger Zabuza posed. This is one of the best First Sagas in the history of Animes. It remains in the minds of all Fans even today after so many years. I miss when Naruto was like this, The most incredible Jutsus at the beginning of the Serie are literally nothing compared to the Jutsus we see in the middle of Shippuden. Byakugan is nothing compared to Sharigan nowadays, That's sad.

Byakugan being able to see thru illusions and Gentle Fist being able to cut jutsu apart vs Sharingan being able to predict CQC and Uchiha having a ton of mid ranged Katon Jutsu. With these conditions, it's basically up to the skill of the individual.
It even gave off a reasonable side effects too, faster chakra drain. The gimmicks and powers got poorly handled as the show went on. The Sharingan was somewhat balanced up until the Mangekyou then got out of control after that. Although some people would argue otherwise, and I wouldn't say they are wrong either.

...I imagine it's hard to consistently keep the clever battles with strategies and tricks throughout something so relentlessly brutal and fast paced as a weekly shounen manga. And of course, there's that damn power creep. This battle between two elite jounin is like child's play compared to some of the shenanigans happening in Shippuden. Or heck, even before Shippuden when Sasuke and Naruto were doing the Vegeta vs Goku Galick Gun vs Kamehameha homage.
I.. it's complicated. I think Naruto's cartoon was very bad, with dull colours and the blade throw scene poorly executed. I only knew Naruto from the manga, from which the same scene was much more impressive and left much to the imagination. The opening for Boruto was very well executed IMO. It all went downhill from there.

It was a great show. Zabuza thought his mist would prevent Kakashi from copying and seeing through his techniques. He overestimated this advantage because he'd only simply heard about the sharingan eye of insight and not actually fought it once before himself.
Kakashi is not an Uchiha and he only have one sharingan which he cannot turn off it consumes a lot amount of chakra that's l why he don't master his sharingan
This was the problem with shippuden. Pain infiltrating the village was epic. Madara fighting a 1000 shinobi was super cool to watch. But neither of them were as terrifying and nerve wracking as this moment was, or when Orochimaru appeared. A threat actually seemed like a threat in this show.

I’m sorry but the vibe was a lot darker in part 1 and the stakes actually felt high. Shippuden was good but did not have the sense of fear people felt when being introduced to villains such as Zabuza, Gaara and especially Orochimaru!

...I imagine it's hard to consistently keep the clever battles with strategies and tricks throughout something so relentlessly brutal and fast paced as a weekly shounen manga. And of course, there's that damn power creep. This battle between two elite jounin is like child's play compared to some of the shenanigans happening in Shippuden. Or heck, even before Shippuden when Sasuke and Naruto were doing the Vegeta vs Goku Galick Gun vs Kamehameha homage.

I.. it's complicated. I think Naruto's cartoon was very bad, with dull colours and the blade throw scene poorly executed. I only knew Naruto from the manga, from which the same scene was much more impressive and left much to the imagination.
The opening for Boruto was very well executed IMO. It all went downhill from there.

It was a great show. Zabuza thought his mist would prevent Kakashi from copying and seeing through his techniques. He overestimated this advantage because he'd only simply heard about the sharingan eye of insight and not actually fought it once before himself.

This was the problem with shippuden. Pain infiltrating the village was epic. Madara fighting a 1000 shinobi was super cool to watch. But neither of them were as terrifying and nerve wracking as this moment was, or when Orochimaru appeared. A threat actually seemed like a threat in this show.

Hiruzen "nerfed" him to become a genin mentor so his heart wouldn't become darker and eventually turn into a bad guy.
@@RogueSeraph I wouldn't agree. he has 1 rule "betraying your friends is worse than a trash" he carried that rule since obito kissing the rock until now. Hiruzen took him just because Danzo wanted him too. he was an almost a perfect soldier.

I’m sorry but the vibe was a lot darker in part 1 and the stakes actually felt high. Shippuden was good but did not have the sense of fear people felt when being introduced to villains such as Zabuza, Gaara and especially Orochimaru!
No barito and no shippuden tops the feel of og naruto

the fact that even if in the beginning of the series the power scale was much less flashy, it doesnt take from the fact that zabuza was POWERFUL enough to match kakashi in retrospective, same thing applies to might guy and everyone not wanting to fight him

He could have actually defeates Zabuza in 5 minutes, but then the secrets of the Anime would have been destroyed
