CORNERS OF ASIA (SERIES) EPISODE 4: Burma's New Dynamic - "We are Brothers"

EPISODE 4: Karen State Burma - This episode examines the new dynamic in the Burma/Myanmar conflict namely the emergence of ethnic Burmese people joining ethnic armies in the fight for freedom. The story looks at the Kawthoolei Army (KTLA) in Karen State which is under the command of General Nerdah Bo Mya. We meet ethnic Karen Drone units and ethnic Bamars in People's Defence Forces (PDF). In the KTLA we see how Karens and Bamars work together for a common goal of freedom. However, the never ending war in Burma drags on while the international community seems oblivious to the plight of some 1.7 millions refugees and displaced persons in Burma and neighbouring states.

burmese Army is very weak right now. They rely on air strike and without their air force they are doom. they have tank but it's useless in Karen state due to high mountain etc.
