Ready for a long comment? This is why I've hated Nintendo for the last couple years (not the games, just Nintendo). Their communtity interaction is just terrible. In fact Nintendo is the reason why we will never have Mario Kart 8, Tour or any future Mario Kart tracks in CTGP, because the risk of copyright claims is way too high. I mean just compare that to Sega for example who hired a guy that used to do Sonic remixes and now he's doing official Sonic soundtracks. Or Supercell who often directly answers to feedback, sometimes even through their comment sections or on Subreddits, while Nintendo never really does that. At one point, Nintendo even said that JoyCon Drift was fake. Yup, instead of listening to litteraly everyone or just looking at simple facts, they just tried to make their own fanbase look like liars. And what's the worst is that after over 4 years they still haven't fixed it. And especially with the many more controversial decisions that they have made I feel like Nintendo really needs to talk more to their fanbase and actually listen to them. Don't get me wrong, I still love most Nintendo games (I mean many of my favourite video games are by Nintendo), but I don't like many of their decisions.
A looong time ago, Nintendo doesn't allow their gameplay or music to be posted on RUclips at all. unless you have to Ask for permission and agree to the company, but after Shuntaro Furukawa being CEO he removed all of those rules permanently. but gilva's channel got a lot of strikes because nintendo doesn't allow in that time 😭
I thought that at some point like- Nintendo had made a statement where it was like- if the video is PURELY Nintendo music, they will take it down or copyright it err whatever. But if it's Nintendo gameplay that features the music, or if you're using it as like background music for something else, then it's fine. I thought I remembered something like that.
I may be wrong, but I think silvergunner’s videos are not monetised, that means they aren’t making money from it at all, which is even more stupid (don’t quote me on any of this)
Honestly like- This is a kind of a bad move. It's kinda telling Nintendo that they've won, and that they can keep doing this and that they'll get away with it and actually succeed. Like maybe Gilva could've like- kept it up casually, just to like keep y'know annoying Nintendo with it, not really taking it too seriously just so y'know they can never really 'win.' Also if might mean that Nintendo gonna start moving on to other channels, so we won't even have their videos to listen to anymore. Gilva could've been the shield to protect the other Nintendo music channels.
I agree with this it would’ve been the opportunity for the angry fans to take a stand but I understand GilvaSunner’s decision even though I don’t like it
Nintendo wouldn’t care enough to be annoyed, they have whole teams of people to handle this kind of stuff. It’s just another thing that spent 10 seconds on their desk. Plus, there’s some speculation that this may not be Nintendo at all. Hopefully that wasn’t covered in this vid, I’ve already watched a few on this subject and am just in the comments to see the discussion lol
This happened before with gilva and 31 horas music with the smash ultimate soundtrack in the past. So when that happened I made an effort to find versions of the songs that have lower views so it’s less likely to be taken down. It’s also good to know that the Pokémon company came out with the diamond pearl and platinum sound library containing all the songs with a free download for content creators. If Nintendo put up a Nintendo sound library website that’s split into game sections like Mario Zelda and Pokémon. Then you can click on the Pokémon tab and see all the game sound library’s and then go to the diamond and pearl library. That would be good. The diamond and pearl library even allows you to put the songs into playlists so imagine if you can do that for the entire Nintendo sound library. Just something cool to think about. And Gilva WAS NOT getting money off the videos. He chose not to monetise it. Giving more credit to the troll Nintendo doing the copyright takedowns since official Nintendo would have no monetary value to doing it. But it is Nintendo after all…
I actually use Nintendo music in the background when I'm streaming because I thought they were kinda chill with copyright. Guess I'll have to change my playlists now
BO DOES NINTENDO REALLY EXPECT ME TO GET MY GAMECUBE OUT OF THE DUMPSTER JUST TO LISTENT TO SOME KIRBY?! bruh... did they really just waist time copyrighting people instead of making millions from super mario maker 3 ?
GilvaSunner was my go to for Nintendo game soundtracks as well as other soundtracks from games like Sonic Colors so it will be missed. I think that channel specifically got copyright strikes because it was the most popular out of the many channels that have music. I’ve always like Nintendo, I could call myself a fanboy to some extent, but it’s been painfully hard to like them in the past few years with things like joy con drift, NSO Expansion Pack and now this. Knowing Nintendo they would probably leave the others up which would make no sense but this is Nintendo we are talking about. They would receive massive amounts of hate and hate comments, potentially lawsuits if they took down every RUclips video with their music in the background, Scott the Woz for example, as millions of people enjoy the content for the the subject itself and not always the music. I have several hidden playlists on RUclips of 30 min loops of Nintendo and Sega music that I listen to on the daily. If they actually go through with this the only sort of purely Nintendo music we would have would be the music player on 3D All Stars which sounds bad but it’s been better since the switch has Bluetooth now. I’m not saying it would be good though bc that’s just 3 games compared to hundreds, even thousands. Nintendo has been really crap to their fans lately and it saddens me looking back at old E3s with how Nintendo knew how to make their fans happy. That’s my take.
5:43, this is kind of factually incorrect. american nintendo almost never copyright strike, 9 times out of 10 it's the japanese nintendo. so ofc it wouldnt have "america" specified in their name if its the japanese nintendo. not saying that the americans dont do that shit, its just not often. you see this type of copyright issue with generally japanese companies, case in point, TOEI Animation. ~ Deimos
Sorry but I won't belive on RUclips Cmon they allow someone to be the owner of every music that Pewdiepie made Of course an imposter is behind this It's not the first time something like this happen

I completely agree, just simple interactions or doing things that are not quick cash grabs could make the company look a whole lot better.

There's 3 kinda of the text when Nintendo takes down videos pretty sure, I think one of them is something like Nintendo. [Japanese text]

This is why you download all your music. No one can delete it from your storage except you.
Nintendo clearly doesn't want us to vibe. L Nintendo 😐
GilvaSunner wasn't making money when he was uploading Nintendo's music.
Lemme know your thoughts on the situation ‼👇
Even though I will probably always like Nintendo, this is another layer on the “making Nintendo fans mad” cake
