If you are just starting out or retuning to maplestory, this is the series for you! We’re going to be building up a new account in the new reboot server in the NA region of MapleStory Global. This series is really aimed at beginners and retuning players, so I will be explaining everything! So that you too can jump right in and enjoy the crazy amount of leveling events that are currently active!

For the drops from Magnus, as this is a video meant for new players, I'd also point out that should you get any of the superior equipment, to not starforce it as it's expensive as heck.

Thank you for the informative videos! I feel like the video gives you 'stuff to do', but what is the direct way from here to keep leveling up and progressing through the arcane river? I feel like I'm stuck after 200 and completing the daily quests and doing the party quest.
First. This series is awesome for a returning player.
This is like the third time I'm watching this, and only now did I catch the JJK reference lmao
I would have mentioned in the guide, that EASY ARKA does not count for the quest. I went in, thinking I could just do both, and found out not only does easy not count, but you get locked out of Normal as well, meaning you can't finish the quest. Kind of obnoxious that's a thing Nexon did, since you can do both Easy and Normal Zakum, Normal and Easy Magnus, and a few other bosses like that too.
@coppersan hey love the guides. I'm a new player and saw ur recent training guide, it was very helpful. May I ask, could u make a full guide on gearing and equipment? I mega burned to lvl 130 but not sure what to do now. I do not know how to get lv 150 gear or prepare for lv 200. A guide that solely focus on getting gear and upgrading them would help alot! Thanks
Hello so I started a week ago fresh from not playing for almost a decade and I think I made a big oopsie but I wanted to know if its really bad and to do after. So I made the wrong tri-node for my class and lvl it to 20, I found out today while checking during my chaos boss runs because the 2 skills look similar I didn't realized. Note I left when Zero came out so all of this is new. I still getting 2 out of 3 skills boost but the 3rd is quite worthless, what should I do?

Which burning class do you recommend for a returning player? Already have some link skills (Aran, Evan, Mercedes) and 2000 legion.
Do you mean which class to hyper burn? Dawn warrior, buccaneer, any explorer archers, shadower, wind archers are the meta early on. But just play whichever looks nice to your eyes. Though, if you missed the 6th star event it might be worth considering starting over in the new server, you get showered by rewards.
Remember to talk to the Legion NPC and upgrade your Legion level for more slots.
You probably have way more legion score than you think.
@@SkySumisu I've been checking it daily, as I'm currently focusing on the zero to hero event to build my legion and link skills. But I'm not sure which character to burn, or which I would benefit the most from getting it to 200 quickly. Already have a Shadower and Bishop at 200. Level 2 link skills for Evan, Mercedes, Aran, Phantom, and a few others.
@@joseroman1777 Mains are 100% personal, but if it's about Link Skills I would recommend an Ark or a Demon Avenger, maybe a Luminous.
I’m fairly new, but I’m always hesitant to upgrade or cube weapons given not knowing when the next set is going to come.
10 stars is free. If going higher only do it on the absolab weapon to 17 star then when you get an arcane weapon go for 17* and 22 when you can get spares
I'm pretty sure you don't need to do the entire Magnus pre-quest anymore (Unless the pre-quest done in a character carries over to the others).

Yeah you don't have to do the whole thing. Just get up to the part where you actually get into the fortress or whatever it is called (you can see a little magnus chibi icon on the map). Once you get to that part you can just drop the questline and instantly goto and fight Magnus

Any advice on what class to start fresh in reboot?
Dawn Warrior that class has too much power, utility, debuffs, binds, dashes, insane range for warrior class, fma, and 2.3ish s... for no darn reason
Anything you fall in love with, I recommend watching them all and choosing on that.
As a side note here is what not to choose: Phantom, Beast tamer, Kaiser, Mechanic, Maybe Xenon.
These above are very weak in relation to the others, so I recommend you avoid them. All the rest is doable

Hello im new to Maplestory and have a few question.
1. Should i play on burning server or Reboot ?
2. If i was playing on burning server should i focus on main quest because i literaly have no idea what is all about. Or i should go boosting the server because looks like they got a map where you can boost your level so fast.
3. Im currently playing NA Maplestory i got about 200 Latency from it, and i can get lower latency on SEA Maplestory but i dunno SEA Maple doesnt looks alive and didnt have burning server there.
I would definitely say play reboot ad opposed to burning. If I recall correctly the hyper burning on burning realm only goes too 150 as opposed to 260 on reboot. Reboot servers are also much much more active than the burning realms which will make ot easier to find people to do end game activities with. Regardless of which server you play you can basically ignore 99% of the content before 200 as the whole point of the burning to rush people to 200 and apart from what's mentioned in the video it's not reqlly worth your time and start some of the more newer content.
Reboot is the way to go for New Players.... burning transfers to normal worlds which has an extra element of trading but some players are way too far ahead... try hyperion
